This feature is confirmed to be on 40 series as well
Smooth Motion works similar to Lossless Scaling?
They have different purposes, but they share some similarities in improving visual smoothness.
Hope that finaly works for VR too.
Hopfully 4000series take an update for this so happy with 4090 at all.Lets see next gen in 2 years or more maybe.
It's already confirmed by Nvidia but they said it will come later as they haven't properly tested it on 40 series
If you try and record with smooth motion active the game will warp. Check out the video on my channel. Its an older game but I think it has trouble recording the inferred frames.
Remember that the "A" in A.I stands for artificial guys!
And latency?
Is there some method I don't know about that can get Smooth Motion on the 40 series? I heard the term dll swapping going around but Idk
There isn't, unfortunately
Nvidia confirmed with a later update smooth motion will also be featured on 40xx series @@TechInsiderWeekly
@Akarulez, You are correct, I was answering for the current time but probably should have mentioned the future update that could be coming.
A joke from nvidia to drop it as a feature for 50-series without launching the cards..
Да,
No. Just no. That's like the smooth motion on TVs and looks horrible.
Did you test and see it yourself? No. Then shut up
@brunocerny Do you know how soap opera effect looks and works?
@@Jinppa Smooth motion on tvs isn't utilizing A.I. and it doesn't predict so it's much more likely to display artefacts. If you're a gamer you might as well get used to this kind of tech, from here on a lot of the performance in games will be from a.i. generated frames. You should probably get more informed about this stuff, at least if you're going to comment.
