if you were to compare this gpu to something like cars, the A6000 is like a big diesel truck, and the 4090 is a fast sports car. Both are really strong, one more than the other, but they put the power down differently.
0:57 More VRAM doesn't make rendering faster so much as it makes it _possible._ 4090s actually render faster than the professional cards, but when you're at the level where you need >24GB of VRAM, the performance difference is negligible. If your scene exceeds the VRAM capacity of your card, you're SoL. No GPU render. It's not about speed.
"we struggle to even hit 900 fps" me playing on a 2014 office laptop on lowest settings, 25% render quality, and way too many optimizations struggling to get 30 fps in 720p
the bright side of this kind of situation is that it doesn't matter how cheap or tiny your next upgrade is: it will feel as an Interstellar jump in performance.
One thing you have to remember for your next project this will save you a lot of headaches is that the game engine has to support it if it doesn't it won't work.
I really like your videos even though i stopped playing fortnite in march. I had Tomb Raider for 3 years now and never played it but when ive seen your gameplay i gone and played it and OMG ITS SO GOOD! Keep up and thanks!

4:45 you dont have to install the studio drivers… the game ready drivers are universal you just have to download them by selecting another GPU in the list. I did this with my RTX A2000 without any issues.
the main reason why the A6000, or any of the workstation GPUs are so expensive, is because NVidia ***very*** strictly regulates every part of the production process of these cards and they require much more certifications than a consumer GPU would, hiking up the price immensely. These cards are not made to be top performers, but instead are made to be as stable as possible to reduce downtime and reduce data and / or progress loss whilst a consumer GPU is made moreso to be as fast as it can, without requiring the same extreme stability and the certifications the RTX A series, or the ADA series needs.
No, not really. They all come from the same batches and since workstation GPUs aren't clocked as high as gaming variants, there's no reason for them to pick the best bins. The reason why they charge premium prices is because of much larger VRAM, higher quality memory and some few workstation-oriented features like ECC and better drivers for passive rendering. The "certifications" are only for marketing. Workstation GPUs are still way overpriced despite those advantages.
Studio drivers have more testing in creative applications before release. Game drivers come out far more frequently for new game releases and so are prone to more bugs that can effect creative applications. Every so often they sync up and release the same version at the same time and for that window they are identical. That's it. Neither is really different outside of the release schedule which is due to testing and reasons for release.

You should try using older versions of Windows! They might be a security risk, but they are absolutely worth it. They free up a ton of processing power. You don't need to go far back either. If you go back to old versions of Windows 10 like Redstone 5 or 19H1, the software and kernel will be new enough to function. You can go back even further back Windows 10 Threshold, or even Windows 8&7, if you know how to Google error codes.
