My wife and I bought our first home on a qt acre slopped lot in St Charles, Missouri. She is set on wanting a chicken coop and vegetable garden and has asked me to build it for her. I love my queen and am honored to build her things. I am starting from square one of knowledge and this was inspiring to see. A system with function and purpose that yields goodness for the family.
I have similar setup but with two large vegetable gardens and chicken coop with run in the middle. One year chickens are in one garden, and in the second are vegetables and next year I rotate them.
I own 30 acres and I’m jealous of your chicken coop. I’m working on building mines like yours I have 36 chickens now. I would love to have my veggie garden line yours. Side by side
We love the concept and are in the planning stages of doing the same. What would be your best “guesstimate” around cost for building this from start to finish?
In terms of ease, if you had a do-over would you recommend building these in parts like you did or all at once? Would you change anything? Setup looks awesome. Love the idea and sprouting fruit trees. Where do you store all of your feed and such?
Hey there, It was more about time. But having the time for the chickens to clear the bays seemed to work well. The only thing I'll be changing is increasing the water tank size to 15,000lt. Over summer I was pumping water to the tanks every week. However this includes the irrigation for the hoop house.

Nice work, as will give you the flexibility to expand if needed.

Question: Do you let your chickens roam through the Open-fenced gardens at night, or do they go back to the Roasting Box
Hey there, the roosting box is always open as well as the bays which we need cleaning up. They normally go back to the roost just before sestet.
I like your fly trap, Did you put pig shit in it?
camel, they like it more.
