It's more emotional because they played it close to the novel, instead of 3, 4, 5, and 6. Dynasty Warriors 8 perfected the feels but 7 was uncontrollable with the tears.
@@hailkingcerion800 if a new dw game could put the effort it took i to 7 and 8 it would be the saddest and best story telling game of the sieries and with more characters and cool weapons.
my favorite will probably be Dynasty warriors 7 and 9. 7 being the one that has the most tear jerking one and more emotional, and 9 being the most badass as how Sun Jian kept fighting after being shot and the arrows ricochet off him
It was always funny in DW5 with Sun Jian's story mode, he survives the ambush by deflecting the arrows and then catches the one that kills him in his hands like a badass. You continue on into the story but every subsequent battle treats you as if you're dead. Sun Jian is still the commander of Wu for those battles but Sun Ce or Sun Quan, whoever is supposed to be commander, will still have all the troops as if he was the commander still. But at least it means you can't possibly lose due to the commander being taken out.
Hey ur are not the only ones 😆 my fav kingdom is also "Wu" I love it, so yeah I do agree that he didn't when easy on them and died fighting, but in real life he was crushed by holders, so R.I.P Sun Jian😞😞😓
Me playing Wu: "Ooooh Tiger of Jian Dong and he's cool with that armor and weapon and all. I'mma main him" *Dies* "Alright......you die early into the story...... Well your son Sun Ce, the little Conqueror, has nice movesets with his Tonfas, I'mma main him then" *Dies* "OH COME ON!"
The eyes aren't vital organs, though, and damage or removal of your eye isn't fatal, so it's less impressive as a result. Sun Jian died by being peppered by arrows, or by being crushed under a bolder. Besides, didn't Xiahou Dun, historically, relegate to domestic affairs and civil duties after losing his eye?
@@yipzhengqi4991 Well, of course he'd have to retreat and seek medical attention. I was just comparing being shot in the body by an arrow to getting an arrow in the eye
Gunawan Putera well.... The Arrows death was what happened, but different ways, one of them was he chased down Lu Gong & was caught in an ambush of arrows

Except Lu Meng he is probably poisoned by Sun Quan for disobeying him and kill Guan Yu eventhough he clearly said not to and just take Jingzhou without killing any important Shu member. Lu Meng really hate Guan Yu the same as Zhou Yu hate Zhuge Liang.
Well ignoring the text message cutscenes, i think DW9 did the best with Sun Jian's death All DW games - some one hit grunts shot Sun Jian. DW3 - Sun Jian is crushed to death by falling rocks. DW9 - Sun Jian takes an arrow to the chest then says: It's just a scratch, now all forces CHAAAARGEE!!!!
@Sun Wentai 90 this is due to Sun Quan not attacking Wei. He only attacked He Fei after Shu said they would give Jing province if they win conquer He Fei which they never did. Before this they were just sitting back watching Shu fight alone.
@Sun Wentai 90 Nope, Liu Bei wanted to defeat Cao Cao not Wu. Battle of Red Cliff was mainly Naval warfare which Shu lacked in anyway. Liu Bei barely escaped after the Chang Ban encounter to be able to contribute as much as Wu in that war. Despite that Shu still flanked Cao Cao however they could from the shores. After Shu secured Cheng Du they carried on pushing Wei fronts and waited for Wu to do the same on He Fei front as they never did up until the point Liu Bei offered Jing province to Sun Quan. Wei was comfortably defending Shu since they were hardly threatened by Wu until He Fei encounter. Despite all that, Jing province originally belongs to Liu Bei anyway since he inherited it before he was pushed to retreat in order to form an alliance with Wu. So he retained what belonged to him.
If you watch the real Romance of 3 Kingdoms, they look like a normal troop that can be killed by even the lowest level of troop, as long as either being ambushed, or trapped.
Felix Juwono true. I find it funny how they can handle being burned by siege weapons, shot a ton by ballisticas and can handle attacks from like 100 enemies at once. But yet they seem to get ohko’d by an arrow.
It would be nice if the game potrayed that properly, tbh the clips from DW7 & DW8 are just stupidly dramatized and cringy. And DW9 is a step up but not even close to thrill me.
I always liked how Sun Quan and ShangXiang fight in the battle when Sun Jian dies, when they were like 5 years old
Is it me or every DW7's deaths are really emotional
Mohu Monkie DW7 was the most emotional game in this series. They better do that with 10 tbh

DW7 had the best storytelling in the series
Sun Jian can't die if I play as him.

Sun Jian is the Heroic Warrior of DW. A horse is a must have for every death he goes through.😂
Wu is my favorite ... I hate the fact that he even died... But in 9 although I hate it, I like how he didn't go down without a fight
Same, gonna play in tw three kingdoms mainly as wu in the multiplayer.

Historically due to the injury of his eye, he retreated immediately from the battlefield as the wound was considered crucial

Theres still soo much i want to know about this man
Only in dw3 he dies like in the Romance, smashed by a rock fall
Alessandro De Bonis i think in the story he was on a boat, and the river was filled with rocks so the boat stuck, and they shot rain arrow at the boat
Gunawan Putera well.... The Arrows death was what happened, but different ways, one of them was he chased down Lu Gong & was caught in an ambush of arrows
He was shot with innumerable arrows and his head was crushed by a rock. Sun Jian died very ugly, sadly.

3 was the least silly of all the games for cutscenes.
