A lot of nice options. The old German coin, the Australian $2 colours. My oddball pick as coin of the hunt are the Australian 20 cent pieces. Here in my country we use quarters. 25 cents. We don't have $0.20 coinage.

One of the best world coin hunts for ages, much more interesting than all those euros and US cents

First coin has the queens portrait with the necklace!!!! Could be wrong but that was only supposed to be on a single coin in the UK!

Wow, what a hunt! My favourite has GOT to be the 3 Pfennig coin from Saxe Weimar Eisenach.

i love love love the older coins. i love thinking about all the history of it and where its been and the people who had it.
i know u love coins from today but do you find older coins cooler when you get given them than the newer ones from our times?

Wow. That must be the best world hunt ever. The Aussie Honeybee and the set of European states are fantastic.

Wow that Catherine portrait was something.

As an Aussie my favourite coin of the day has to be that $2 coin. I also agree that the portrait of Katherine is not the Royal Australian Mint's finest work.

The Engraver for the William & Catherine portrait was Vladimir Gottwald (I’m surprised he put his name to it and did what the UK mint did with the Vera Lynn £2 and just put ‘The Royal Mint design team’ 😬
The rest of the coins were very nice.
    Great stuff Christopher 👍🏻

"Holy Toledo!" to a Spanish person is like saying "Holy Birmingham!"

Hello Christopher - A Scheidemünze is a coin whose material value is lower than the face value (in the case of a Kurant coin, the material value approximately corresponds to the face value). In the case of German coins from that time, the designation as a Scheidemünze also means that this coin does not correspond to the cion standard agreed between the German states, which means that this coin is not accepted as a means of payment outside the territory of the respective issuer (unlike the silver coins of the time, which met the specifications of the coin standard and could therefore be accepted across countries - like todays Euro coins in the Eurozone). Nowadays, all circulation coins are Scheidemünzen, while gold and silver commemorative coins usually have a higher material value than their face value.
