Love your tutorials, Could I be cheeky and ask if you have ever done a tutorial on 'dancing' particles? I have an idea about particles/fire/ice dancing along ,ballet-esq
If you can get an obj sequence into Particle, you could make one layer that fills the model with particles that only last for about 0.1 seconds to effectively texture it. Then another layer that allows particles to float off and then they could have an aux system, if you used fluids it would get even crazier.

Ahh i'd love to use this with Particular 5 but since it can't propperly import the project file, i'm not sure i'll downgrade my particular version ( since i don't really know how either ) and make it work with 4.1. Also i suspect it's because the Migrate Settings issue people are reporting with 5 that kinda persists on all my projects... 5 is unable to import anything created in 4 or 3 and it seems RG doesn't really have a fix for it yet... Made the damn mistake to update too damn early :(
Have you watched the overview video in Trapcode Elements V1.3? It has a quick tutorial. It's just a case of uninstalling Trapcode Particular from your Red Giant Application manager and then downloading V4.1.5 from this link: www.redgiant.com/support/installers/updates/trapcode-particular/

You can 3D track the scene to match the camera movement, then if the actor is moving you can animate to emitter locator so that it moves with the actor, you can also aim the flamethrower direction in the particle controls.
You definitely want to have at least 32 gigs of ram a quad-core processor and plenty of free space on your hard drive so that you can allocate it to After Effects disk cache. If you're using a mac though, I would look at the support page first.

This might surprise you but I haven't worked with any of the other Trapcode Plugins, I don't even have it installed!

Well it just collides with a sphere but the fluids unfortunately don't react.

What are those effects used like fire emission rate? Is that trapcode particulator?
Yes actually, the only simulation software I use is Trapcode Particular. But I set up these presets with some sliders to make it easier to use.
