Out of all of them, 0:55 really struck me. Something about the lighting revealing a centipede-like monster that is way bigger/creepier than I was expecting. Awesome stuff!

I'm late to this party, but 5:05 takes the cake for me purely because that game has such a special place in my heart and to have Disasterpeace give such a masterful and subtle nod in the soundtrack made me stop and comment. Lxcarix Al, such an amazing job mate!

@@Bunndog A friend of mine passed away due to a congenital heart disease back in 2018 and after playing this game I felt a strange connection to it but couldn't understand why. It was fun and sounded good but I've played a lot of games and none sat with me like this one did. Come to find out later that the game maker made it partly to come to terms with his own congenital heart disease and the battle he himself faced. Really incredible moment for me.
7:15 is my favourite, the explorer dropping his sample at the sight before him 🫡

The render is actually based on a game called Hyper Light Drifter! You should check it out
It's referencing the game Hyper Light Drifter, actually. There's an identical shot in the game with a different art style. Disasterpiece composed the music for that game! And there is a sonic cue from the game that starts playing at that part of the video, a pretty amazing detail if you ask me!

@@FilmonGEMZ the whole competition took 1 month so I used every bit of it to make this piece, it could have been faster but since this scene is very heavy in volumetric so cycles had to be set to high sample for a proper look.

YES so glad someone else noticed the hyper light synths kicking in for that
the visuals in that look quite amazing, it almost looks like a cinematic movie quality.
The whole song didnt resemble the Disasterpeace I knew...maybe because I have played Hyper Light Drifter and recently Fez, I havent got a copy of Solar Ash or his recent work. But seeing HLD cameo was awesome, I am waiting for the the HLB, but I still think they could have made so much more with the world, the art, the side character, I hope Heart Machina is not trying to catch lightning in the bottle twice, while they sit on a massive IP.
Thought was so cool he weaved in a little audio reference to HLD, I also laughed at 5:25 when the music synced with the crab clicks lol

The mushroom and golem at 1:00 really hit a chord with me. The animation was so beautiful. The one at 7:51 was also stellar. The dashing and slicing animation was super smooth, and was a real piece of art.
I cannot stress enough the amount of amazement and joy I get from watching these. So many talented people willing to contribute. Just incedible!

5:50 was really well done, but it's also nearly identical to a shot from Arrival. Most of the others feel far more imaginative.
@@telebeam6144 Should probably have mentioned this, but I love the movie. That's why I thought it was a cool idea.
What I like about it is that it works as a "boss" threat, despite not actually having any intent of becoming hostile. Because in the movie, most people have no idea what the ship are here for. So for them this would fit right into this compilation.

Seeing Hyperlight Drifter at 5:05 was so awesome! I love that right when it starts, a new instrument joins in that sounds just like the one in the Hyperlight Drifter OST. It makes me think how awesome a movie for that game would be.
EDIT: I just found out Disasterpeace (who also did the music for Hyperlight Drifter) are the people who made the music for this video! No wonder it matched so perfectly and sounded similar, that's awesome.

This is by far the best soundtrack yet for any of the montages. The melody changes were perfect, in theme with the boss fights but giving something new at the same time. Really elevated the media, and that's what music is supposed to do.
There are so many brilliant artists out there! I enjoyed watching all of them!
1:31 was my absolute favorite, the design of the angel is amazing and the concept itself deserves more attention
