Thanks for the tips! I haven’t heard this particular Supertramp record, but their other work is truly excellent and extremely well produced. Underrated band for sure.
Thanks for the recommendations. Some to add are the 1970's series of Missing Link recordings with Lincoln Mayorga direct to disk recording and any other direct to disk done by Sheffield Records . The goal of these recordings was to achieve the best possible fidelity. The missing link being the multi-track recording and mix down.
Tony Joe white ! I had long forgotten him ..I live his 2006 uncovered album …mark knopfler has a cameo in there …looking forward to Marks new album dropping the 12th
Nice job reviewing. You should give a listen to Emmerson, Lake and Palmer's "Works" album one of these days. Keith Emmerson's piano concerto is stupendous!
Fantastic choices, some of which I'd heard of, some not, and it's always good to hear new recommendations. The Liszt piano track was mind-blowing - and I'm someone who would never really consider listening to classic music. I'd recommend Jacob Collier for new, and Face Value by Phil Collins for old.
I'm glad you like La Campenella. Nojima's technique is other worldly! Face value is solid. Will check out Jacob Collier. Thanks for the recommendations!
I only have a CD player, but will take a punt on some of these. Alan Parsons Project (Tales of Mystery)was recommended on another recent video ... one of yours perhaps?
I think one of the best songs to demonstrate terrific stereo separation is “Whole Lotta Love” by Led Zeppelin. Give it a listen and I believe you will agree.
I agree. Very familiar. It's the music I grew up on! I don't have a good copy as mine as surface noise. I dont quite like the recent Jimmy Page reissues though. They seem dynamically lacking IMHO
@@analogholic_reviews ....get a US 1st pressing "Hot Mix" Robert Ludwig. The version with RL side A, and LH (Lee Hulko) side 2 is generally not so expensive like the version with RL on both sides. The sound is the same ! Both sides have also SS (Sterling Sound) in the dead-wax. The 2014 J. Page remaster is , despite the digital source, very good indeed. It has a very similar sound "signature" like the RL Hot Mix !....even Tom Port, from Better-records say this !
@@analogholic_reviews ....and a very, very good pressing (if you cannot find a RL copy) is : 1977 US (Presswell) cut by George Piros (Atlantic SD 19127); look for the -x in the deadwax : ST-A 691671-X @t GP (PR)ST-A-691672 X @t GP (PR)
Anything blue book or Remastered record from Norah Jones or any standard issue releases from Tracy Chapman. Same for any of Emylou Harris's later recordings. They work with some of the best recording engineers on the planet.
Great..Glad to hear it. I have a small selection of Import CDs. I'm having great luck finding classic rock & pop music on Japanese Import CD pressings. They're mostly from the 80's 90's & early 200nds. The prices are reasonable and supply is plentiful overall. They sound crisp, clean & dynamic. A great recording of an inspired performance can really move my emotions. Thanks so much for posting your videos. I'm really enjoying them & have subscribed to your TH-cam channel. Tx David-
I would recommend the 1977 recording by Al Di Meola "Elegant Gypsy". Particularly the "Elegant Gypsy Suite" or maybe "Race With The Devil On A Spanish Highway". Thanks. ~S.G.
It's great to find a music reviewer who covers all the bases and whose musical tastes I share.

I recommend this album too. The playing is inspired.
Bob Dylan's Oh Mercy blew me away (Man In The Long Black Coat). A shopowner played it for me when I was checking out new speakers.
Superb track and album!

Thanks for the suggestions ... I have a few I believe somewhere in my collection. Time to dig them out!

Nojima plays Liszt is one helluva piano epic…a human being can do that is just extraordinary !

Wow i always thought Stimela makes a great test track. Love it🎉
Yes, it is a masterpiece...both musically and from a recording standpoint!

It certainly is one of my favorites! Especially the track, tell tale heart!

Nice list.... Check out Fleetwood Mac... Tango in the Night. This should also impress.
Yes, I haven’t spun that in a while!

Yes, similar experience with Norah Jones and Tracy Chapman.

I absolutely love Al Di Meola!
I want the Desperado album
Any record produced by T Bone Burmett.
You need to quit watching Analog Productions videos !!!
Haha I have not watched a single one of them. I love their quality.
