Dylan, new to your channel. Sitting here in Surrey, UK listening to your passion. It’s hard to describe just how much joy you bring in these troubled times. There is so much bad economic/geopolitical stuff around but spending time sharing your enthusiasm is a form of therapy. It’s a reminder of what’s really important in life. Spending your life following your passion is profound. You are inspiring and thank you so much. Gotta get out to Charlotte. Best Julian.
I have an OG of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. Played it recently for the 1st time in about 30 years and it was so amazing. The music speaks for itself but the sound quality was superb!
Thanks for sharing with us ! I only have a modest (600-ish titles) LP collection, but really enjoy listening to them . Took the plunge and purchased a couple of the top-tier pressings (MoFi`s One Step version of "Fragile" by Yes, and Jeff Beck`s "Truth", from MoFi using the Gain 2 technology). While a bit pricey, you know where the money went when you play these on a good system. Enjoy !
Fantastic picks! Yes, those records make a huge difference, but to quote an old Pioneer ad: “You can’t expect great music unless you have great equipment”. I found my dad a pair of Sansui SP-X8700 from the mid seventies and wow! Man, the difference is incredible! So now, I got a few audiophile records, now I need great equipment! I need to save and then do some hunting!
My mom had every single one of these, dude - or versions of them, on vinyl, leading to my falling in love with sound and noise. Well done. I actually don't even have a turntable, maybe need to rectify this. Been waiting for the kiddo to grow up more so I don't have to worry about collecting gems.
I got my first MoFi for Xmas this year from my best friend. The Spinners self titled album. We listened to it together after I opened it and we were both blown away about the detail of the hearing certain instruments so clearly. I spin in at least 4 times a month now. Love it
Man, lovely system, nice to see the Mac valve amp paired with the Klipsch, must sound incredible! Im fairly new into proper analogue, after collecting records since 2000 only got my first system in 2017. Been going crazy with buying records and eventually found out about MoFi and Analogue Productions and Impex. I have a few UD1S and UHQRs. I adore the last side of the UD1S of Bridge over troubled water is what made me appreciate the power of those premium records, just phenomenal. The Rastaman Vibration is probably my favorote UHQR. The Muddy Waters Folk Singer AP 45 is absolutely mind blowing, just incredible even on my modest setup. I have the KOB 33 UHQR and its incredible, didnt realise the 45 was coming out so soon after. How much would that zeppelin box go for? That's incredible!
Thank You for your heartfelt sharing, it must be more than happy to play them when i put them on my play list...You honesty win my heart, Thanks again !
Blows against there empire seemed to have a deeper sound can’t say favorite songs but the sound of the album even after 50 years keeps it on my easy to reach shelf
We Noticed, just didn't imagine they were fraudsters. Thanks for this video and all the others. I've been watching your stuff since I bought my first record as a return to vinyl.
good stuff - I have some of the same records in my collection and love them the same as you... Miles - Jimi - Herbie and a couple others. thank you for the video.
Your enthusiasm and joy is contagious! This video made me run to my system and pull out my favourites. I'm not really an audiophile, I just love the music, but can definitely distinguish sound quality. Probably I should start buying less but better sounding records... The problem is there's so much I would like to get my hands on. New and old. Thanks for sharing!
Great video, Dillon!!! I have the UHQR of Miles Davis' "Kind of Blue" and it is absolutely the best sounding album in my collection! It blew my mind away!!! Thanks for sharing your top audiophile records!!!
Thanks for another great video! Just pointing out it's not that I now think MoFi sounds bad. In fact I haven't heard many people say they sound bad. It's really simple, I don't like giving money to people who lie to me. Making digital records doesn't matter to me, but lying to me about it to take my money while charging a premium is pretty bad.
For electronic/classical stuff, ( nils frahm, a winged victory for the sullen etc) erased tapes is an incredible label. The quality of the ‘regular’ stuff is outstanding.
I am 64 and I have over 10,000 lp and Cd’’s One throw in Golden Lion tubes in that MC 275.I have a lot of first pressing The mono Helen Merrill is great and AP os pretty spot on . While I do not have the classic Led Zep box . I do have Led Zep one and two autographed bu the whole band. Thanks for saying good about MOFI .I always enjoyed them .But not everything they pit out is stellar. Whats with the VC always pushing the re issue . Alot of great lp out there
Lovely collection, and amazing sound system. Congrats! Agreed on the comments that music is as important as sound quality, and also that stereo sound is a magical space experience. Cheers!!
I love that Nugent is #2 on your list. I have to agree Stranglehold one of the absolute best riffs of all time. I do need to get the Analogue Productions copy my copy is beat up like most copies are.
Hey Dylan. My Ted Nugent LP is pretty clean as I bought it brand new when it came out and didn't abuse it. Also, IMO, Stranglehold is the song that it is due to Derek St Holmes vocals. He is out on the road now and there should be a video of his version. His guitar playing is pretty good too!
Great video (and your selections). Would love to get your thoughts on the fierce debates on the tech forums of people who claim digital is superior to vinyl. Not so much the debate, but the actual issue at the center - is it just us who can hear something uniquely different in a vinyl recording? Because it does defy engineering stats. I am a technologist by trade, but I opt for the intangible quality that vinyl provides. A different listening experience if you have the right equipment as you've stated.
I loved Stranglehold from the time it came out (pre flaming a-hole Nugent) and I still put it on once in a while and crank it up. I once blew out my tweeters (back in the 80s) because I was cranking Stranglehold so hard.
Thanks for the tips. That SRX vinyl should be called Obsidian. I missed the Axis…..still regretting. My favorite Hendrix by far. Kind of Blue….Kind of Best! My best and newest is Three Blind Mice 45rpm box set. You are killing me with that Zep! It’s a shame that they haven’t given those records their due.
Happy Holiday Dylan very cool 15 I remember getting that HeadHunters 45rpm man it mind boggling good it still one of my favorite audiophile . Love you McIntosh 275 tube amps and those Klipsch horns . I agree those SRX are hard to beat I wish I had that Soul Station.
When you say UHQRs are packaged like "old classical box sets," what they specifically resemble are the RCA Soria Series deluxe classical releases from the late '50s and early '60s, with the slipcase and the rounded spines.
Man I love your vides ... I also have a charged up opinion on Ted that being said ... I couldn't agree with you more about Stranglehold ... Love that song and man that riff is everything! Keep spinning
Try the remastered Supertramp EU pressing Crime of the Century. Very quiet pressing and of course the beginning of the Supertramp journey. Thanks for the video Dave
Great video! Do you use your McIntosh integrated amplifier as a solid state amp as well as preamplifier for the tube amp? Great setup and listening room!
Hey Dillon, I always respect your opinions and I've recently viewed lots of "best sounding vinyl" vids. I'm amazed that the Peter Gabriel 45 RPM versions of his albums are never mentioned. I have several on your list to compare to and the recent PG releases are on the top of my list. I would add that the 45 RPM version of the PG album 'Security' should be making lists like this. I've not seen it mentioned once.
My best is Getz/Gilberto Analogue Productions 45rpm. Also my mofi one-step Eagles One of these nights. I would put my Fleetwood Mac Rumours as top if it didn’t have a tiny bit of noise between and at the start of a couple tracks.
Wow those UHQR box sets are something to behold, absolute work of art style of presentation that other labels would be wise to emulate. And I was so pleased to see Ted Nugent feature in this list since I have loved this record and in particular Sranglehold which I discovered as a result of playing Guitar Hero many moons ago which eventually inspired me to go out and hunt down a dusty old second hand version acquired from a local store. I’ll treasure it til the end of my days, sounds superb! Cheers
You're right man that is kind of funny about the mofi thing.. it's kind of like a bowl of chili that they rave about, did they find out it's been with turkey meat instead of ground beef they don't like it anymore.
I would like to see some audiophile vinyl releases that are exclusively geared towards the younger folks that are in their teens to 40’s like some Newsboys, DC Talk, The OC Supertones, Bridget Mendler, Kutless, P O D, etc
That sort of vinyl was used to press an album by Olivia Newton John called Olivia (I guess you know that she has passed), I have another album pressed from the same vinyl called Rock 'n' Roller Disco, and ADELE 30 on clear 18grm Vinyl.
That Steven Wilson album (to the bone) you got next to the turntable is without a doubt one of the best sounding records I ever heard with great songs.
I truly believe that Led Zeppelin’s first record is one of the best vinyls for rock ‘n’ roll. I listen to it for years on eight track and cassette. Then one day I was able to get a record and it was like listening to it for the first time so many nuances that vinyl catches that other medium don’t
“I’m not really an audiophile” 😂😂 I do suppose you’re on the low end of fanatical though. That set up and UHQR discs is pretty phile-esque my guy. I dig your pride it’s the perfect mix bro.
Any of you guys and girls thought of getting the Minot Wheel Turntable where the tonearm is actually below the record you are playing and the spindle is also the control joystick.
Since my youth, Strangelhold has been one of my favorite electric guitar songs. I'm not a big fan of Ted Nugent either, but this song is simply phenomenal and it's actually a must for every record collector to own this record.
Cool collection of audiophile stuff! I have a 33rpm UHQR and the 45RPM MOFI Kind of Blue, and I am a neophyte when it comes to jazz, but I prefer the Mofi. It's a different mix and is more moody (or Blue), whereas the UQGR is Kind of Detailed. In my rookie Jazz opinion of course! And the UHQR is really noisy, as it was a recent repress of the 33RPM stock. Kinda disappointing :)) I am in Canada so it's a hassle trying to return it, so I alternate between both copies. Fantastic album!
Hi Dylan! We love your videos and your passion. We're glad you recognize and appreciate the extra work we put into making these records sound so good.
We need more “10 obscure rock albums you never heard of” videos. I have discovered so much music and great classic rock bands from those videos!
I would settle for "10 rock albums you may have heard of".
Thank you so much! That’s why I do it!
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's how it makes you feel that matters. You get it, and that's why we watch and nod.
I have an OG of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. Played it recently for the 1st time in about 30 years and it was so amazing. The music speaks for itself but the sound quality was superb!
I love you're wall of records. All the good stuff , heavy psych, garage, acid rock for the most part. My kind of music. Cheers.
Of course you are an audiophile. Nothing wrong with being one. MoFi makes great stuff. AP, Blue Note, Craft, Impulse, and others also. Thanks again!
Thanks for watching! 🙏
Love your passion about Great Sounding Records Dylan!! I feel same.... it's a Great Sickness to have!! Lol...That was a Great Video...Wicked Good!!
Yes. Thank you Dylan. Love that Steven Wilson album. The track with Ninet Tayeb is pure bliss.
Yes! Killer!
So far, the best most comprehensive vinyl show out there.
Enjoy !
As always, thanks for sharing!! Love your videos!
Hey thanks!
Appreciate you sharing your favorites…your enthusiasm is genuine and infectious
Excellent episode, thanks for the tip on Analog production
No problem!
Sweet
Crying after looking up the prices on the road case box set. That is totally insane. Glad you got one, but phew.
My mom had every single one of these, dude - or versions of them, on vinyl, leading to my falling in love with sound and noise. Well done. I actually don't even have a turntable, maybe need to rectify this. Been waiting for the kiddo to grow up more so I don't have to worry about collecting gems.
Thank you for sharing your love of records with us, you have a vast unique experience .
Love the stereo...horns and tubes are hard to beat.
Good enough for me! Thanks for watching! 🙏
Your enthusiasm is contagious
Your passion flows out so purely naturally. Thanks for a delightful time.
Hey thanks! That means a lot!
Many thanks for this wonderful commentary. I will sample these recordings soon.
In my opinion, the AP Ted Nugent album is the best sounding rock record in my collection. It's pure fire!!! 🔥 I enjoyed the video. Take care.
I dont even know what compelled me to buy ted nugent, but i have to agree it one of the absolute most rockin albums I own
I got my first MoFi for Xmas this year from my best friend. The Spinners self titled album. We listened to it together after I opened it and we were both blown away about the detail of the hearing certain instruments so clearly. I spin in at least 4 times a month now. Love it
Came across your video today, LOVE your attitude. You made my day mate, many thanks!
Man, lovely system, nice to see the Mac valve amp paired with the Klipsch, must sound incredible! The Zep box goes for $15k+ now. I didn’t pay near that thankfully
I've been watching your stuff since I bought my first record as a return to vinyl.
totally love that sound system you put together.
I am lucky to have 1st pressings of lots of jazz from my fathers original collection, Maiden Voyage is a masterpiece
Awesome video. Nice list & nice set up. Thx for sharing.
my fav all time speaker is the klipschorn but to $$$$$ for me so i got the cornwalls, nice rig.
good stuff - I have some of the same records in my collection and love them the same as you... Miles - Jimi - Herbie and a couple others. thank you for the video.

Another nice video. Have you made one about all the records on your wall before? That would be super fun.
Great video, Dillon!!! I have the UHQR of Miles Davis' "Kind of Blue" and it is absolutely the best sounding album in my collection! It blew my mind away!!! Thanks for sharing your top audiophile records!!!
Thanks for posting this informative & fun video. Much appreciated!
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road is one of my top 3 records for 50 years now. A masterpiece.
Yeah I totally get that
Hey Dylan, love your attitude to collecting records, your passion and joy for playing the music that makes you happy! Keep up the videos 😊
I love your passion for music. Way to keep it real!
I have a mofi pressing of kind of blue but this just made me want the HQR….damn.
For electronic/classical stuff, ( nils frahm, a winged victory for the sullen etc) erased tapes is an incredible label. The quality of the ‘regular’ stuff is outstanding.
Thank you. I learned a few things about some great music.
Hey Dillon, Love Watching your Videos, during my time at home recovering from My Hip Surgery. Talk with you Soon.
Yes Mike! Hope your recovery goes well! Let me know if you need anything!
Your enthusiasm is nice to see.
Nice system and Steven Wilson To the Bone album. Great reviews too👍🏼
The Detroit Mix of What's Going On is my preferred version from an Audiophile perspective.
I’ve got love is hell on the original 10” pressings. Sound great. The moment in shadowlands where they bring the bass up and in is mind blowing.
People forget that Jimi was a mad scientist when it came to mixing and engineering his records. He was an experimenter on guitar and at the board.
Yes! Brilliant!
I am 64 and I have over 10,000 lp and Cd’’s
One throw in Golden Lion tubes in that MC 275.I have a lot of first pressing The mono Helen Merrill is great and AP os pretty spot on . While I do not have the classic Led Zep box . Ah. Super educational. Thanks a bunch!
LOL… if you weren’t an audiophile, you’d have a Bose system!
Loved the video.
Lovely collection, and amazing sound system. Congrats! Agreed on the comments that music is as important as sound quality, and also that stereo sound is a magical space experience. Cheers!!
I live for content like this
My MIMI and PAWPAW live in Matthews NC! We'll have to stop by next time were up there
Love your sound system!
I love that Nugent is #2 on your list. I have to agree Stranglehold one of the absolute best riffs of all time. I do need to get the Analogue Productions copy my copy is beat up like most copies are.

How old are you that you were alive when Marvin Gaye released What;s Going On? You have captuerd the fountain of youth!
I was talking about when that version came out, 2019
Try the remastered Supertramp EU pressing Crime of the Century. Very quiet pressing and of course the beginning of the Supertramp journey. Thanks for the video Dave

Nice to see you are listening to Steven Wilson.
Been listening to him a lot more lately!
My fav artist. Been listening to porcupine tree since signify in 1996 . I got the train pretty early
Like button smashed! I need to find that deja vu!
I just picked up that Ryan Adams in the wild. I'm a big fan and seeing him with the Cardinals this fall!
Great video 🔥 very informative stuff 🔥 rock on ✌️
Thanks for a great video!
I found a MOVL release of John Mayer's 'Continuum' at your shop weeks ago. Never been so happy! p.s., it's my second copy, but first audiophile one!!
My best is Getz/Gilberto Analogue Productions 45rpm. Also my mofi one-step Eagles One of these nights. I would put my Fleetwood Mac Rumours as top if it didn’t have a tiny bit of noise between and at the start of a couple tracks.
I missed out on the first Jimmy Hendrix UHQR but I got Experienced. Killer copy
Wow those UHQR box sets are something to behold, absolute work of art style of presentation that other labels would be wise to emulate. I agree with you on the Axis record - the mono version is just a collector's item. The stereo record sounds like Gaaaaawwwwd!
I would like to see some audiophile vinyl releases that are exclusively geared towards the younger folks that are in their teens to 40’s like some Newsboys, DC Talk, The OC Supertones, Bridget Mendler, Kutless, P O D, etc
Great video and fun to watch. Its sad that most cant really afford this kind of lifestyle, but fun to imagine nonetheless.
Just some mac and Klipsch horns I'm sure you picked up at Best Buy! So humble lol
Great video Dylan, what are those 'light boxes' you have to the left of your turntable for your at home setup?
The WahWah repress of The Beyond, "And The Waters Opened " is an aural treat.
That sort of vinyl was used to press an album by Olivia Newton John called Olivia (I guess you know that she has passed), I have another album pressed from the same vinyl called Rock 'n' Roller Disco, and ADELE 30 on clear 18grm Vinyl.

It is so incredibly good! Thanks for watching! 🙏
I bought reissue recently and returned it..sounds like garbage (if you are talking about their Debut album).
"I'm being honest..." 😂😂😂
(seems to me you always are, that's what we like)
Good list! No apologies for lovin’ Uncle Ted!!
Absolutely not 🤣
“I’m not really an audiophile” 😂😂 I do suppose you’re on the low end of fanatical though. That set up and UHQR discs is pretty phile-esque my guy. I dig your pride it’s the perfect mix bro.
Awesome!!
Stranglehold is my jukebox go to. Most bang for the buck!
I so enjoy your videos - can you pls share the web address for Analog Records?
ted is an excellent player. that cannot be disputed! GO TED !!!!!! BIGG BADD TEDD !!!
Yesssss
