Great review, but I'd like to add that you can access an advanced menu by simultaneously holding down the up/down/headlight buttons. There's an "intensity" setting within it to buff the throttle. It's very powerful.

Can definitely adjust the settings to go beyond 30mph. Try it out and do an update to the review

Kinda bummed you didn’t realize that it’s possible to unlock more power on the bike both for acceleration and top speed. It’s a really good review, but it’s like only half of the bike was reviewed

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's into the ebikes. 😁 Great review as always!

Still want to see an endurance race on a 650L haha. Would probably be the hardest race you've done but would be the coolest video ever!

Gabe, I found your channel a little while ago but just read both editions of your magazines. My friends and I love them and they have so much great info. Modern reviewers don’t tell us what we need to know, and don’t understand what it means to be on a budget. We appreciate your work dude! Are there going to be any more editions of the magazine in the future? We all know your stupid busy. Will they be free or require payment to fund future projects? Just let us know man cause we love your stuff!

Glad you enjoyed that stuff! I'm not going to make anymore of those. They were fun to make but I dumped a lot of money on them at a huge loss. I am mostly focused on my other jobs now, just doing TH-cam whenever other things are slow

@@TortureTestMagazine sad to hear but I kinda thought it might be the story. Best of luck to you, and stay safe while riding you maniac. Look forward to whenever you upload, and hopefully I can start riding like you soon! I’m a northern Nevada guy so we’re coming off a tough winter and I lost a lot of skill!

Only gripe I really have about the b8ike is I'd love to have more gears. I can easily get it over 30 mph with pedal assist but then I'm out of gears and pedaling really fast.

How does the Basalt compare to the Asphalt? Great review!

I'm 5'6"-5'7" will this bike be to tall? I've seen on other written reviews that it's better suited for 5'8"+ riders. Thoughts? Thanks

Because I know you are hard-core and legit I would trust your review of anyting. Could you do what you do on an e-bike on a 2200 dollar mountain bike if you were in good shape? Or is that just not practical. I'm always looking for a reason to punish myself

My friend rides around on a $3k mountain bike while I prefer e-bikes. The mountain bike has no chance at keeping up and can't really go uphill with two people on it, but it is a lot more fun and capable in downhill single track

Long term results are not as awesome. My neighbor's frame broke in a year. No luck from customer service.

BUYER BEWARE. The support department is a nightmare. God help you if you need support. And you will at some point.
