How does one lift/support the bike to remove both the wheels simultaneously? I've the same bike and I'd like to replace the tires by bringing in both the front and rear wheels to the dealer.
Done a brake pad change the other day and found the piston binding regreased and had soms issues now doing a piston seal rebuild and cleaning up as problem still there. Had a tyre changed at a local shop now I've stripped the caliper all off im noticing the rear disc is grinding and touching the rear on calpiler side. Is this an alignment issue or because rotar need changing
Another trick is to wrap a screw driver with a towel and roll it between the rear sprocket and chain to keep tension on the chain so the wheel doesn't move while tightening the axle nut.
Hi just a different question I have been given a center stand for my 2006 fz6-n and been looking for the torque specs are of the four bolts would you know what they are thanks Gareth.
I think... it’s 53 ft-lbs. The manual says that’s the spec for two m10 centre stand bolts. I don’t have my eyes on the bike right now. The two side stand bracket to frame bolts are speced to 46 ft-lbs. So it’s likely around those two specs if I don’t have the exact one here. Best of luck!
Great video. Youve done just about everything i hope you do a fork sell video soon my fz1 is 2001 to 2005 and they had the old conventional forks like yours ive heard there easyier to change. Also in yout valve lash adjustment video is that what everyone talks about when they say a bike needs the valves adjusted after loke 20,000 miles or so
Thanks! Yes when people say a bike needs its "valves adjusted" they are talking about the valve lash. I've actually done the FZ6 fork seals in the past and it isn't too challenging. The manual makes it look like you need a special tool to hold the inner cartridge while removing allen key at the bottom of the lower fork let but you don't. Simply stack a couple half inch extensions together and put the male end down into the leg with the top cap removed. It holds onto the cartridge well enough to loosen the allen key on the outside. Once that's off getting the seals out is easy. Replacing the bushings and oil seals without damaging the oil seal can be tricky but look into a fork seal driver tool or a perfectly sized PVC pipe. Best of luck!
Check out my video on replacing spark plugs. I go over removing the radiator in the beginning of the video. Here's a link to that video: th-cam.com/video/nwMaS-OfRlY/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=CalvinMC Best of luck!
I really like how you're thorough, clear and easier to understand. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and skill.
Thank you for the kind comment!

How many free spins or how much rotation should you get from the rear wheel on the FZ6 and is it normal for rota to touch the master cylinder
Hey man, always loving your videos. What grease to u use in the axles btw?
Lucas red and tacky lithium grease. 👍
@@Calvinm thx! That’s what I ended up using! Your videos are keeping me away from the shop, very appreciated!
