i love her because she's gone through something i can relate to and she's not all "happy happy joy joy" , she's real she's relatable. it can b hard to follow spiritual people who i feel haven't gone through any life threatening physical/emotional trauma. good bless her.
I can relate with your comment. There are people in spiritual communities that never had to go through what we've been through, that's why I think they are prone to positivity and happy-go-lucky lifestyle. I don't criticize them but I recognize that not everyone will relate with those kind of spiritual groups and its practice. Teal is raw in her approach and realistic without being pessimistic. Her work gives me hope and a great sense of self-accountability, which is powerful and empowered.
Few years back this video helped me with weird anxiety I had for months. Within 10 minutes I was healed. Here's what I did: after the video, I turned off my PC and sat on my bed. Then I started to analyze the "darkness" that was the anxiety itself. Instead of trying to not think about it, I welcomed it and analyzed, went deeper and deeper with each new piece of knowledge. I swear, I got to the bottom of the layers and my anxiety was gone for next few years - all withing about 10 minutes. Don't force it, ANALYZE IT and ask questions. Thanks Teal and I hope my story will help someone.
Thank you for your comment. I just did the same and at the bottom of it I found that a part of me believed that I didn't deserve to be happy. As if I was sabotaging my happiness. I now remember that I am loved and that I deserve to be happy. Everyone does. I hope you have a blessed day!
hey. thanks for your comment, I'm trying this approach myself just now but i have a question i hope you can answer - what do you mean by DONT FORCE IT? cos when i go into the feeling i feel like i have to force my mind to look into it, otherwise my mind just kind of looks away.
Im coming back to this video now- one year after i watched it. A year ago i was suffering from extreem panic and anxity attacks .. This video was a turning point for me and it helped me to start my healing process! Now i could never get an panic attack again in my life.. Teal thank you so much for this video you saved me!
Stephanie Wilson if you feel like your heart is racing and feels like it's going to explode again go to the hospital ok does anyone in your family have heart. issue s it if you feel like that again you nead to be looked at
I have severe depersonalization and derealization/depersonalization. After hearing you mention this perception as part of anxiety it has brought a sence of groundedness, knowing I'm not crazy or different. ♡
I suffered for years from panic attacks. One day, instead of trying to make it stop, I invited it to take me over (which I thought might kill me, but decided so be it then). I basically said C'mon MORE MORE & tried to make it bigger....and it stopped immediately! That was nearly 20 years ago & since then I think I've had a tiny tingle of anxiety exactly 2 times, which I welcomed in the same way so it lasted like 1 second. Now I can have my blood sugar any which way, OD on caffeine, be massively sleep-deprived, and I may feel every kind of crappy but NEVER feel fear. I've used this same principle I call "surrender" a lot in my life since that experience, and have found it to be the antidote to all forms of suffering.
One of my variations of a panic attack was that I would start getting nauseous in the grocery store and start feeling lightheaded. One day I decided to just fully experience the feeling because I realized it must be a panic attack and not some physical ailment that was going to kill me. So I stood there in the soup aisle and just felt my nauseousness. It was like a wave flowing over and through me. I remained allowing and it began to dissipate within about 10 seconds. I was amazed! I now had solid evidence that releasing resistance DOES work! So now I do that anytime it happens and it happens less often these days. Last week in the spice aisle, it started again but I immediately went into the feeling and allowed it and comforted it and it went away quickly and I was fine after that. It's very empowering to experience that. Now, the next time, I need to ask it what it wants me to know. I think I already know but I want to ask it to be sure. Thank you, Teal.
I just adore Teal. I needed to hear this. I let anxiety run my show sometimes. I’m going to start becoming a friend to my anxiety. It’s a notification to clarify some beliefs that no longer serve me. Thank you Teal for being you. 🙏🏽
The feeling of being detached from yourself is the hardest for me.....I am so used to all the other feelings now that I can realise that I WONT die even though it feels like Im having a heart attack
Rund Rihan I have vomited before and always have stomach problems when I have them. I have felt very faint and very dizzy but, never collapsed or been unconscious. I always fear that, however.
+Billy Williams i have the same thing but when it to strong i collapse .. untill now i didn't have any cure... or any medication , i really don't know what should i do !
Billy Williams Dear friend me too. Be free and breed inner power. Fear is a brainwashed theory. Also never pile up negatively when it can be managed better as it will stop it growing into an unwanted fear. :) please reply what techniques did you use? I am with you don't have fear.
Not certain about the points made but ,if anyone else trying to find out tips for dealing with panic attacks try Debuncar Panic Attack Aid (just google it ) ? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my work buddy got cool results with it.
Just the other day i had subscribed to the thought that resistance to the panic attack was causing me more grief and worry than the actual panic attic itself. Finding the thinking that caused it at the moment is the problem for me. It seems like ( out of the blue ) my body just starts to gang up on me. My nose gets blocked forcing me to breath erratically and then maudlin starts. I just found Teal Scott today and already she is empowering me. Thank you.
I had a panic disorder for almost 6 months and it was one of the worst times in my life. The one thing that helped me get rid of them permanently was acupuncture. When I first started, I had panic attacks while getting treated and the needles stopped them right when they started. After a few treatments they were completely gone. It was truly life changing and hopefully it can help you🙏🏻
Having a freeze dissociation panic attack, not my first of course. Want to keep track here how many times I come back to this video. Hopefully not many 🙏
Excellent advice! In the midst of very debilitating panic attacks a wise woman told me this same thing - she sat with me & asked if I could make it happen - panic. I didn't want to think about it. She encouraged me to have one, told me not to try and stop it, just let it happen, release resistance, welcome it - she said I would be fine and she would be right there. I trusted her enough to do it and what I learned was exactly as Teal describes, "cured" by welcoming it rather than fearing it.
I just had an anxiety attack just an hour before I saw this video. I came to realize why I struggle with what I want to do in life...that being I lost all the joy of the things I do. I'm thankful for the experience for it helped shine light on the dark corners in my soul that's holding me back from my greatest potential. Thanks Teal for the video.
panic attacts while flying, driving etc. really have nothing to do with crashing or the fear of flying, it has to do with not being in control and not being able to get out of the situation if you want to...............you cannot leave a plane if you're in a panic while flying, or jump out of a vehicle. It's not the situaltion, but rather the control.
I suffer from social anxiety and the simple fact of thinking about someone instantly make my anxiety reappear but when I listen to her I don't feel anxious at all in the contrary I feel at ease her voice her the same effect on my brain as the sound of water, she is the first person who don't activates my anxiety
lady i don't know who you are but I'm so happy you exist , this videos calmed me down,I've been getting panicky all week not understanding what was going on . I've been smoking weed since i was 15 , i just turned 26 in sept. i think i need to stop , and start eating healthy . what you said made a lot of sense to me , also i think i love you
+MR. TRAPPINHARD I\'m not sure but ,if anyone else wants to uncover how to overcome panic attacks and anxiety try Knewreck Prevent Panic Guide (should be on google have a look ) ? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my colleague got excellent results with it.
waowwww, Her voice is so calming and reassuring, i dont need any med while she talks. I think i should just record her voice let play in my car while im driving.
+Mamad Irooni Not certain about the points made but ,if anyone else needs to find out about tips to stop panic attacks and anxiety try Tarbetti Fearless Tutor (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my partner got amazing results with it.
Thank you so much for posting this, I have 3-4 panic attacks every 3 days, and have always believed that it is due to me being super sensitive to the energies around me, and have not been able to figure out how to get out of it. This video gave me chills, thanks so much! Blessed be!
I used to suffer from panic attacks shortly after "waking up" to what is really occuring in the world. I can say from first hand experience that what she is saying is 100% true. I can't stress how important it is to "embrace" the experience, challenge it to "do its worst". Despite the sensations, know that you'll be OK. Use rational thoughts to switch back to your frontal lobe. Belief is everything, and once you're in control, the panic attacks will get less frequent and eventually be no more.
Panic attact might be a common problem for new ones in the awekening in our "lovely" society, especially when the ones have a good heart .... Great episode, Thank You Angel.
I don't know how I can repay you. Just the fact I'm here I guess already shows my compass is guiding me towards taking care of myself even thought I never learned how to do so....
When i had a panic attack , I was able to understand it. I sent to my childhood cupboard and broke down. I didn’t plan this, but it came as a natural response. It’s later when I understood, that’s what I did during my childhood, before knowing that it was a panic attack. I cried and let all out. When the resistance left, I felt better. I gained control of myself.
I just did this. It was the best Christmas gift for me. Thank you, Teal. You help me so much. I cannot thank you enough. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.
I am having a panic attack while driving on bridges or a highway. Its the worst feeling. I used to be bold while driving, it usually happens during stressful life episodes. I am working on it to totally overcome it. It tells you as if life is ending but nothing unusual happening around. Pure Illusion!!! Very very helpful tips Teal Swan, thank you🙏. God bless you!
SUMMARY - How to Stop a Panic Attack (Episode about Anxiety Attacks) - Teal Swan A panic attack is a sudden intense episode of fear as response to a thought that is mostly unconscious the fear feels like as if they are out of context and you feel out of control making you crazy you start fearing loosing control and becoming crazy this fear plus the original fear that triggers a flight or fight response is debilitating you start fearing having an anxiety attack symptoms of a panic attack sense of empending doom or danger The fear of loss of control or of death You may begin to experience very rapid heart rate You may start to sweat or tremble You may feel shortness of breath or you may have a hyperventilation problem You may get chills or hot flashes You may feel nauseous You might get abdominal cramping chest pain a headache You may get dizzy you may feel faint You may feel like your throat is closing up on you, like it's super tight and you have trouble swallowing You may feel numbness in your extremities or you may have the feeling of surreal reality meaning, that you feel like you're detached from yourself you cant distinguish a thought from reality in a body attack your body response to your thoughts Dont make an enemy out of your fear, what most people do they are your compass leading you in the right direction To avoid anxiety attacks: Avoid alcohol, stimulants like coffe an sugar Having a sensitive nervous system means you have very accurate compass sensitive people have difficulties to go in a opposite direction Nurture your nervous system its more likely to get a panic attack if you overload your nervous system Get regular exercises joint impact has a calming effect on you, thats why people with anxiety attacks often are addicted to exercise Sleep 8 hours a day while sleeping you release resistance and wel being is allowed to florish Reduce stress wherever you can in our life which is the heart of all disorder and diseases stress makes it more likely to get a panic attack If you are chonically in stressed the new cells within your body are created with receptors that are designed for chemicals that are assosiated with stress. If there are no stressful neuroceptites you crave for stress so practice a life of non stress so that your body creates cells that are receptors that belong to joy or other positive emotions In a panic attack you have to stop sending your body the message that it is in a life or death situation fear indicates that you focus or pay attention to soemthing that is in the opposite of your higher self and well being steps to overdome panic: 1. Never force yourself through the action Close your eyes and tak 5 very deep breaths filling the lungs completele holding breath 8-10 seconds Tell yourself "I am having a panic attack" to distract your thinking from the life or death trigger thought 2. turn towards your sensations dive into the sensational experience of the panic attack embrace the feelings of the panic attack this is a conscious change towards your feelings which changes the chemical released in your brain your feelings are there for a reason and want to be acknowledged and must be acknowledged Begin naming what it feels like like you feel like metal, you feel like you are trying to eat me Name whatever sensations you feel Invite the feeling to become worse, ask it to become more intense, to feel more this removes any remaining resistance you get confidence a sense of having control over the experience which is the base of panic attacks. they confince you to be no in control of your life Ask the sensation what it needs you to know, what its trying to tell you acknowledge the feeling, that you hear and feel them understand them acknowledge that you have gratitude for them gratitude that your system gives you totally acurate feedback to your thoughts Look deeply what it was you focused before the panic attack look for proof that undermines the causing thought Look for thoughts that feel better eg. airplane: planes get saver and saver, write a positive aspects journal in which you write a subject and any positive things that you can think about this subject, any thought that makes you feel better if you expect doing something that makes you worry, create a psitive aspect list in advance that you can look at in the specific sutation you cant have a panic attack when you are focused positively having a panic attack you most likely dont notice your thoughts causing the fear notice them and acknowledge them as you start fearing something negative thoughts sometimes spriale into panic attacks of you are not conscious As you pull yourself out of the catastrophic thinking you can consider if this action is good for you or not thinkg thoughts that totally line up with the decision, so there is no resistance or opposition fearful thoughts can lead you to good and bad decisions to you. to distinguish you have to clear the fearful thoughts to decide what is wrong or right for you it is totally within your power to be able to stop them when they occur and they can bring very valuable insight into your life and get you in touch with what is really right for you Thanks Teal
its important to not as-well that people who experience panic attacks are actually advanced human beings, remember neo when he was freed form the matrix? his journey to find his true self? sliding down that hole (rabbit hole) to discover himself. these attacks are pre cursors to revealing of the true power within the self for those who are ready
Thank you! I just listened to you and it got me out of a panic attack. Now Teal, my mother passed away last summer and I seemed to develop panic disorder. I used to hike in Colorado all the time, despite fear of heights, but now my favorite hike I keep having panic attacks and I haven't been able to finish. I also have had panic attacks on the highway. I want to get over both of these.
I've been suffering with panic attacks and anxiety since I was a teen. I'm in my mid 20s now. I was finally diagnosed with GAD about a year ago. They prescribed me Xanax told me to get a therapist and that was all. I suffer every day. I feel like I'm always sick. Like something is always wrong with me. I've been in and out of the emergency room, they've done xrays, blood test, heart test...and have found nothing. I convince myself that they're wrong and nor doing something right because they're missing something. I drive myself crazy every day just worrying about how the day is going to go. I stay in my room because I'm too afraid to do anything. I'm terrified of being alone. I'm afraid I'll have a panic attack alone or something will happen to me and no one will be there. I think I'm making myself sick now with all the worry. My blood pressure is shooting up because I literally don't know how to calm down. There's not a day I feel calm or relaxed. Not a day. I'm always on edge. I'm always freaking out about something. Living on my own doesn't help. I had a panic attack the other night and now I'm afraid to be alone again. Because I know it'll happen again. I feel like I'm crazy and I see the world differently from everyone else. Everything always seems surreal...like I'm always in a dream like state..I forgot how to live...I just want to feel normal.
Monica Marie I had few panic attacks years ago and it was like hell. I remember that on day 4 i was not even expecting panic attack like on previous days, i just didn't care... I don't know why but i just didn't care if a die, i didn't want to get better i didn't want anything.. and it stopped.
Monica Marie I almost felt like I wrote this post while reading it, its just like me. I hope you're better now and I hope I and everyone else gets better soon. I don't think pills like xanax or SSRI medications are the way to get better, just sicker.
+Monica Marie - I have had this disorder for 43 yrs- and when I was reading your post- I swear to you,I felt like I was reading my life at your age. The Money I spent- the doctors I seen- emergency rooms- uggg- felt like I was in hell. Every thing you said-I have been through- and still am. I was on no medication at your age- and was hoping to get over it myself. I tried methods the psychartrist would give me- did not work. They talk about relax, breathe, etc- and I am like WHAT- I can not even think right now. I get so focused on that feeling that it intensifies. I want someone with me- but I don't want them to talk. Everything they say is not helping and only makes t worse. I know its been 6 months since you posted this- how are things now? I have been waking up every morning with a panic attack- and what makes it more miserable is I have to be at work at 5am and I still am in panic mode when I leave. If a doctor told me that they could get rid of these attacks for the rest of your life- be panic free- but we need to take your arm off- with no hesitation- I would have them take my arm. That is how bad mine are.
Sammi-I am a Spiritual Person- and everything you said -is also my belief.I have 3 of the 4 crystals you have. I will try it- really hope it works for me. But still would give my right arm to be rid of panic attacks 4ever.
I got your comment on my page and I appreciate your advice, but I am currently seeing a therapist and she recommends the same things that Teal recommends. I have tried deep breathing and stuff but it doesn't work for me. Teal's advice, however, did actually work for me :) Blessed Be!
I'm suffering from panic attacks for just 5 months but they are getting worse. .. all the 4 doctors want to give me beta blockers or antidepressants but I told them over and over I don't feel depressed and I just need someone to guide me through and help me understand why and how they happen. ... been trying to find something to help in books and Internet and this video was amazing. ..it didn't cured me but it helped me realise that what is happening is a natural though terrifying experience and how I can overcome all this and learn more about myself and how my body works. thank you for your videos .
Thank you so much for this topic... My father and I have been suffering Anxiety attack for a year now. Only those who been through understand this feeling, which I called "Demon." It is not easy to control it sometimes...Take it easy day by day...Thanks Teal
I am listening to this mid-panic attack and the concepts and perspectives you present really made a difference - and very much are applicable even to my lesser, day-to-day anxiety. Extremely grateful to you.
When I have a panic attack it is both the terribly intense emotion, but also an overflow of negative thoughts attacking. And when it happens, I feel like it's just like I'm taken over and it spirals out of control and I cannot even think. It's intense
Google for Sudarshan Kriya by Art of living. I had same problem. Now it has been reduced. Practice it daily. Hope it will help. Sudarshan kriya+ meditation best tonic
Google the Buteyko method. You're very likely hyperventilating. The website normalbreathing dot com is a great source for example. Breathing through your nose helps a lot. It prevents you from spiraling down to a full panic attack. Nose breathe 24/7. I say this after finally discovering the source of my panic attacks after 10 years. It was literally under my nose. Bad breathing habits!
panic attack a feeling that your heart keeps running faster and faster that its hard to stop it and out of control until you think you r going to die or pass out and until you reach the peak level of panic attack and this is the moment you feel calm slowly and back to normal mode
AMAZING video!!! Just came across this now as I was researching methods of dealing with panic attacks. I've been a sufferer of them for 15 years now. During these past 15 years I have done extensive research and tried several different coping skills, programs, and books. Somehow I missed this. Honestly your videos are far more informative than anything I've seen, done, or read in my life. You are a very intelligent individual. I'm so glad I've discovered your videos. Grazie!
Hi everyone, I've sufffered from panic attacks for a few years now. I can't even describe how horrible they are. Basically, confront that demon, by breathing deeply and drinking cool water and distraction. I get an attack rarely now days, but when i do, they still freak me out a little, but like Teal says, dive into it,,,breath into it and with time you'll have more and more control over them. Thank you Teal for talking about this subject.
yes, embracing the fear and the details of all the intense feelings inside helps. It's like visiting the small child inside me and asking him what is wrong. When that child(the past me) express all the sadness to me, the curing process started. What you suggested is the best way to cure ourselves. Ignoring the fear(past unsolved emotion) would just turn it into something worse.
wow, thank you so much for this video. i watched it in the midst of one, and paused during each step. it has calmed me down so much, and i finally understood why i have them.
Thank you, Teal! Really benefited from your insight! I'm new at having panic attacks (up to two per day). I know the reason I'm having these attacks, a medical condition I want the answers to NOW!! My impatience has lead to fear and then to panic. But, some of the things I find helpful besides deep breathing is making my environment humorous! I try, as fearful as I am and thoughts I'm going to die, make myself laugh!! This may not work for everyone. But, I find that the more humorous my environment (comedy shows from TH-cam) the less I take my attack as SO BLASTED SERIOUS! No, it WILL pass!! Soft music helps also with deep breathing!
I truly learned some great techniques from your video...i lost everything to this and other illness's that followed due to ignoring this serious condition...eventually leading to severe depression, anxiety, social phobia's - resulting in loss of many family, all friends, career, lifestyle, health, social skills ....and have lived a very isolated life for past 8 yrs..so loneliness finally to great i reached out on youtube few weeks ago and so happy i did so, thank you for this inspirational vid
You have to focus on what is real in order to break a panic attack. I find being truly honest with what you have seen and aware of and realise you're not in any real danger.
I had prolonged panic attack that lasted five days for me then the come down lasted another 4 aprox. I literally thought I was suffocating or my heart was going to flutter out and die. I tried everything to get out of the endless loop of thought, but it was because I thought their was something physically wrong with me which only extended the length of it. Only once I went to a doc got a pill, sedated me went off the pill, had a breakdown and have the doc confirm I was healthy that I rid of the physical symptoms I was experiencing. I appreciate the vids teal, helps a lot of peoples perspectives, I think.
I am not sure what your training is for this, but you are "right on" in every area here. I had horrible panics, and I moved passed them by using your steps. This was many years ago, and it took me quite a period of time to find all this information. Thanks for sharing this with those poor individuals who deal with this daily!!!
I think people don't really understand what agoraphobia is because its not explained correctly.-In my own words its basically someone who feels like their physically ill, like they have a terminal illness. When they go out to places their physical symptoms feel worse, so that's why they avoid those places. They have panic attacks because they feel like their going to die. For example some people avoid roller-coaster's because roller-coaster's make them feel sick and like their going to die. Now you get the idea of what someone who has agoraphobia goes thru, except they feel sick all the time and have to be careful where they go so their symptoms don't go crazy on them.
Hello Teal! I just wanted to thank you so much for making this video :D I've been suffering from anxiety for a long time, and it's increased to the point where it's hard to see my Son without having a panic attack! This video has helped me so much to understand where they are coming form and how I can understand them, and over come my fears! Much love, Namaste
we were coming back from a trip from Vegas when suddenly i couldn't breath i asked my friend to pull over i had a feeling that i was getting a heart attack and was going to die, i immediately called my son to say goodbye and tell him ilove him. i had never had that feeling before . my son returned my call and feeling went away for a while.I promised to myself to make a better life for my self.
I used to have irrational panic attacks when I was younger. Through meditation I learned to overcome them and they no longer occur. Recently I friend of mine suffered a panic attack in the middle of the night. I went over to him and held him. Told him that he was safe. We sat there for a long time and we tried to breathe together. The sun came up and he was finaly calm. Those moments you see how important you really are, and how strong the bond between two people are. In that absolute state.
This was exactly the kind of video I needed to find. Had a lot of anxiety attacks about a year ago and a similar video helped me out then. Now they're back, so time to get back at it I guess.
Interesting but when I have my panic attacks I'm in a 'panic' which means stopping and thinking of deep breathing is not possible. I'm literally running, screaming and passing out. This is more applicable for intense anxiety which may be helpful to stop a panic attack occurring.
I know this is an old comment, but in case anyone is struggling with this today, my therapist advised to practice mindfulness meditation daily (eg Headspace - app or free on TH-cam). It will train your mind to go into the observing mode - the bit of your mind that can step back and get perspective (the bit you need if you’re to be able to do what Teal says and acknowledge ‘I’m having a panic attack’). Daily practice will sharpen the saw for when you need it.
where i was, and i replied with my situation. anyone who has had them knows, you want to throw things, you want to scream, you can't stop crying, your entire body aches from the stress of emotions running through you. you DEFINITELY cannot do what you were about to do...in my case work. 3d stuff was REALLY hard. my co-worker told me to call our boss, let him know you're ok at least. i have a lot of respect for my boss, so i did. i came in the next morning expecting to be fired, and instead
I had a panic attack last night infront of 3 newish friends. I think it was caused by social anxiety. My heart was pounding and I told one of them I'm so sorry but I have to go i feel like im killing the vibe. They were nice about it like oh no your fine want some pizza? I declined and had my boyfriend pick me up. As I waiting for him to come I was so scared about thinking getting up and walking towards the door. I thought I should wait outside for him but decide against it. I felt like I couldn't even walk like a normal person. When i got in the car my heart rate went back to normal and I felt at ease. It was still there but his presence helped me alot. I feel like he's my rock when I get in this situation.
I've done just about everything To help with my panic disorder.. For almost a year I would have atleast 1-2 major attacks a day which led to depression and suicide attempts.. The only thing I've found is eating healthy exercising and prozac and vistaril.
When I had that panick attack was a time when one of my friends who I had a REALLY deep connection with moved to a different state after getting married & I was thinking " how could I survive without her!" So, at least I know what brought it on.
i love her because she's gone through something i can relate to and she's not all "happy happy joy joy" , she's real she's relatable. it can b hard to follow spiritual people who i feel haven't gone through any life threatening physical/emotional trauma. good bless her.
Same here.
+1

Wow
Im coming back to this video now- one year after i watched it. A year ago i was suffering from extreem panic and anxity attacks .. This video was a turning point for me and it helped me to start my healing process! Now i could never get an panic attack again in my life..
Teal thank you so much for this video you saved me!
Same thing happened to me!
Do you mind sharing your process
When I get a panic attack I feel like my heart is going to explode. I would not wish this on my worst enemy.
I totally agree it happens to often and it robs me of life and I don't know how to control it.
When I have a panic attake it feels like exided nervous ankdes and stuff like that and it makes me closerfobic and gives me a belly ake
I agree, I hope peace is with you all.
Likewise
Couldn’t agree more - literally the only way I overcame mine as well!
I get the same thing!
Your comment is so helpful. Thank you!
I just adore Teal. I needed to hear this. I let anxiety run my show sometimes. I’m going to start becoming a friend to my anxiety. It’s a notification to clarify some beliefs that no longer serve me. Thank you Teal for being you. 🙏🏽
I had an panic attack that lasted almost 24 hours... Worst experience of my life
I had one that lasted 2 hours when I woke up in the middle of the night. It's never easy but we can always manage it
I had that before too. It was horrible.
I had one last for hours worst day of my life
Omg my worst was about 4 hours long and I became physically ill, but I cannot even imagine a 24-hr one!!! Sending love and light to all 🙏🏼
going on day 3 for me 😞
This is something I struggle with on a daily basis. Knowing Teal suffers from the same thing makes it so much easier to relate.
this video helped me heal so quickly ... i know i will never get a panic attack ever again!

The feeling of being detached from yourself is the hardest for me.....I am so used to all the other feelings now that I can realise that I WONT die even though it feels like Im having a heart attack
This!!! The surrealization freaks. Me. Out. I can handle the heart racing and hot flashes, but feeling like I'm going crazy freaks me out
Have had anxiety and panic disorder for 21 years now. It's a nightmare, but this is a very good video and does explain a lot.
can I ask you a question ? ... do you have symptoms such as vomiting so bad, collapsing , and being unconscious for short period of time?
Rund Rihan I have vomited before and always have stomach problems when I have them. I have felt very faint and very dizzy but, never collapsed or been unconscious. I always fear that, however.
+Billy Williams i have the same thing but when it to strong i collapse .. untill now i didn't have any cure... or any medication , i really don't know what should i do !
I've been researching treating panic attacks at home and discovered a fantastic website at Trevs Panic Fixer (look it up on google)
Billy Williams Dear friend me too. Be free and breed inner power. Fear is a brainwashed theory. Also never pile up negatively when it can be managed better as it will stop it growing into an unwanted fear. :) please reply what techniques did you use? I am with you don't have fear.
i like her voice it calms me!

Sometimes it’s hard to know the difference between anxiety and picking up on someone else’s energy, this is for the spiritually gifted ppl ..
I ended up in a mental institution 2 times because of chronic panic’s that lasted days.. yikes! Thank you Teal!
Thank you.
I get anxiety attacks when im falling asleep some nights. Hoping this will help me get better sleep
I had a panic disorder for almost 6 months and it was one of the worst times in my life. The one thing that helped me get rid of them permanently was acupuncture. When I first started, I had panic attacks while getting treated and the needles stopped them right when they started. After a few treatments they were completely gone. It was truly life changing and hopefully it can help you🙏🏻
That’s interesting. Thanks for sharing and if you have any additional thoughts or links to share I’d appreciate them.
That positive aspects journal is genius idea
Very true
I suffer from social anxiety and the simple fact of thinking about someone instantly make my anxiety reappear but when I listen to her I don't feel anxious at all in the contrary I feel at ease her voice her the same effect on my brain as the sound of water, she is the first person who don't activates my anxiety
lady i don't know who you are but I'm so happy you exist , this videos calmed me down,I've been getting panicky all week not understanding what was going on . I've been smoking weed since i was 15 , i just turned 26 in sept. i think i need to stop , and start eating healthy . what you said made a lot of sense to me , also i think i love you

they are the worst -- all of the above symptoms -- couldn't describe it any better- thank you for this...
This video is literally a life saver. I listen to your soothing voice and wisdom to calm a panick attack. Thank you so much Teal.
I can't be still have to get up and pace, have hot and cold flashes and they always happen when I feel like I can't breath or I am getting sick.
Thank you so much for posting this, I have 3-4 panic attacks every 3 days, and have always believed that it is due to me being super sensitive to the energies around me, and have not been able to figure out how to get out of it. This video gave me chills, thanks so much! Blessed be!
This works I did this a few years back, I was skeptical but once I embraced those feelings and asked them to intensity they went away
Thank you for this video. I have suffered from severe panic attacks for years and I often need a reminder of how anxiety works.
"whatever we resist... persists" - never thought of that...thanks!
I am glad this video is up. I have panic attacks alot.
My panic attacks do not come from a thought. They come out of nowhere. They wake me from a sound sleep some times.
It is a subconcious thought. I would be happy having fun and they would come out of nowhere
They come from your subconcience
It’s been 6 years, do you still think that panic attacks come out of nowhere? Just curious.
No such thing as coming out of nowhere
For me it could be a thought I had much earlier. I think the reason they come out at night is because you're not consciously suppressing it.
I have ptsd with chronic panic attacks. Thank you for noting the stimulants. I am grateful for your wisdom.
I've never had an panic attack before, but as bad as it was... It did teach me something
SUMMARY - How to Stop a Panic Attack (Episode about Anxiety Attacks) - Teal Swan
A panic attack is a sudden intense episode of fear as response to a thought that is mostly unconscious
the fear feels like as if they are out of context and you feel out of control making you crazy
you start fearing loosing control and becoming crazy
this fear plus the original fear that triggers a flight or fight response is debilitating
you start fearing having an anxiety attack
symptoms of a panic attack
sense of empending doom or danger
The fear of loss of control or of death
You may begin to experience very rapid heart rate
You may start to sweat or tremble
You may feel shortness of breath or you may have a hyperventilation problem
You may get chills or hot flashes
You may feel nauseous
You might get abdominal cramping
chest pain
a headache
You may get dizzy you may feel faint
You may feel like your throat is closing up on you, like it's super tight and you have trouble swallowing
You may feel numbness in your extremities
or you may have the feeling of surreal reality
meaning, that you feel like you're detached from yourself
you cant distinguish a thought from reality
in a body attack your body response to your thoughts
Dont make an enemy out of your fear, what most people do
they are your compass leading you in the right direction
To avoid anxiety attacks:
Avoid alcohol, stimulants like coffe an sugar
Having a sensitive nervous system means you have very accurate compass
sensitive people have difficulties to go in a opposite direction
Nurture your nervous system
its more likely to get a panic attack if you overload your nervous system
Get regular exercises
joint impact has a calming effect on you, thats why people with anxiety attacks often are addicted to exercise
Sleep 8 hours a day
while sleeping you release resistance and wel being is allowed to florish
Reduce stress wherever you can in our life which is the heart of all disorder and diseases
stress makes it more likely to get a panic attack
If you are chonically in stressed the new cells within your body are created with receptors that are designed for chemicals that are assosiated with stress.
If there are no stressful neuroceptites you crave for stress
so practice a life of non stress so that your body creates cells that are receptors that belong to joy or other positive emotions
In a panic attack you have to stop sending your body the message that it is in a life or death situation
fear indicates that you focus or pay attention to soemthing that is in the opposite of your higher self and well being
steps to overdome panic:
1. Never force yourself through the action
Close your eyes and tak 5 very deep breaths filling the lungs completele holding breath 8-10 seconds
Tell yourself "I am having a panic attack" to distract your thinking from the life or death trigger thought
2. turn towards your sensations
dive into the sensational experience of the panic attack
embrace the feelings of the panic attack
this is a conscious change towards your feelings which changes the chemical released in your brain
your feelings are there for a reason and want to be acknowledged and must be acknowledged
Begin naming what it feels like
like you feel like metal, you feel like you are trying to eat me
Name whatever sensations you feel
Invite the feeling to become worse, ask it to become more intense, to feel more
this removes any remaining resistance
you get confidence a sense of having control over the experience
which is the base of panic attacks. they confince you to be no in control of your life
Ask the sensation what it needs you to know, what its trying to tell you
acknowledge the feeling, that you hear and feel them understand them
acknowledge that you have gratitude for them
gratitude that your system gives you totally acurate feedback to your thoughts
Look deeply what it was you focused before the panic attack
look for proof that undermines the causing thought
Look for thoughts that feel better
eg. airplane: planes get saver and saver,
write a positive aspects journal in which you write a subject and any positive things that you can think about this subject, any thought that makes you feel better
if you expect doing something that makes you worry, create a psitive aspect list in advance that you can look at in the specific sutation
you cant have a panic attack when you are focused positively
having a panic attack you most likely dont notice your thoughts causing the fear
notice them and acknowledge them
as you start fearing something negative thoughts sometimes spriale into panic attacks of you are not conscious
As you pull yourself out of the catastrophic thinking you can consider if this action is good for you or not
thinkg thoughts that totally line up with the decision, so there is no resistance or opposition
fearful thoughts can lead you to good and bad decisions to you.
to distinguish you have to clear the fearful thoughts to decide what is wrong or right for you
it is totally within your power to be able to stop them when they occur
and they can bring very valuable insight into your life
and get you in touch with what is really right for you
Thanks Teal
its important to not as-well that people who experience panic attacks are actually advanced human beings, remember neo when he was freed form the matrix? his journey to find his true self? sliding down that hole (rabbit hole) to discover himself. these attacks are pre cursors to revealing of the true power within the self for those who are ready
Fearing the panic attack will only make matters worse. It is that fear that causes them to happen in the first place.
reach those positive vibrations and leave fear behind! great video, thanks for posting!!
thanks Teal for this helpful video. I didn't know that I was having panic attacks; now I do.
I took notes
Hey, hope you feel better!
One of the most direct, no-nonsense videos on anxiety and panic attacks I've seen. I will try to put some of these things into practice. Thank you.
Thank you. This along with your "How to Get Rid of Anxiety" video is just what i needed.
My chest has been hurting for a day now. It's hard to breath and I have a headache.
I have always felt victimized and still do and I have a tear in my eye.
Soft music helps also with deep breathing!
wonderful video about not only panic attacks by anxiety/fear in general. i love how you get detailed to the cellular level
Another FANTASTIC video!!!! Thanks so much Teal, I can't wait till next Saturday!
Thanks Teal. I was having a pretty scary time here and you helped me.
Thank you,I never said it,I listening you many years...You are the best. And I learned better English...
I used to smoke weed and get panic attacks I stopped my attack from your techniques
I feel so much better after watching this. thank you teal.
I'm having one now. I needed to come and see your video in order to relax a little. Didnt know what else to do...
I had the same symptoms six moths ago, thought that I was having a heart attack! It lasted for about 2 months, I also was prescribed XanaX.
You have to focus on what is real in order to break a panic attack. I find being truly honest with what you have seen and aware of and realise you're not in any real danger.
Thank you Teal Swan . you are inspiring ...
I appreciate the vids teal, helps a lot of peoples perspectives, I think.
i just wanna thank you for the video, it is really helpful to me
yes yes, that's how i overcome mine! feeling them, FULLY :)
This is absolutely beautiful. Have a blessed life! You are an amazing person.
Thank you so much for your help! I took notes the whole time... I already feel so much better just by listening to that!
Great video! Very good tips and techniques. Thanks so much for taking the time and effort to create this!
Teal Swan is a pillar and a goddess 💚
where i was, and i replied with my situation. anyone who has had them knows, you want to throw things, you want to scream, you can't stop crying, your entire body aches from the stress of emotions running through you. you DEFINITELY cannot do what you were about to do...in my case work.
Didn't know about chest pain. Thanks Teal.
