    i tried this process as i lay in bed last night before going to sleep, i thought of how it feels to think about the boyfriend who left me for another girl. at first i felt pressure in my chest, then waves of pulsations, i worked them out into the room, and soon i felt happy as a clam, and i peacefully drifted off to sleep... i feel much better about the whole situation now, i guess i can repeat the process until the negative feelings don't come up any more. Thank you Teal for everything!! : )

      Continue the process for positive feelings as well and then as much as possible the entire day. You will have a good life :)

      @@crystalclearice Okay… to understand that let’s understand why “attachment” is not a good thing to have.
      When we are attached to things, we want things to happen a certain way and if it doesn’t happen in that way, we lose our minds etc. Everybody knows why you shouldn’t get attached to negative emotions like thinking you don’t deserve something, or thinking u lack stuff or your life will never get better etc. But what they ignore is that attachment to positive emotions or sensations is also a bad thing. Because the nature of life is such that there is constant change. Constant ups and downs. Now if u don’t keep a check on your positive emotions, you may get attached to the ups of life and when it is not like that anymore, you will get frustrated and go into a negative spiral or u may get overconfident. I mean even positive sensations open doors to a lot of unwanted stuff because it strengthens your attachment to something. So wtever emotion u feel, just watch it, be aware of it and let it go. If u wanna enjoy your positive emotions for a bit you can do that, but be aware of it. Hope it helps.

    I've drowned my feelings with alcohol for years. I've been running from hurt and pain that was so unbearable that I thought if I were to face them I would give up on my life, but i did it anyways. I screamed and cried until I couldn't anymore. There was a stillness. In a way those painful emotions started to die inside and only "I" was left. It's a continuous process, but it's getting easier. Thank you Teal. :)

    This was so helpful to be able to see the process in action. I was raised by a mother who punished me whenever I had feelings. I wasn't allowed to have feelings and not only not allowed to have them but I was berated and made to feel bad about them. So I held all my feelings inside and by doing that I became numb to any emotion whatsoever. If I never felt anything then I wouldn't be able to be hurt. This lead to major depression from my teens to mid 20's. I'm in my 40's now and finally allowing myself to feel my emotions. This is an invaluable technique and lesson. I'm going to teach it to my children.

      Kalli and Heart Union. You are not alone. I too was shamed, beaten, berated, drugged, dismissed, and controlled from birth until I got help at 31 years old. It has taken me 20 years to gain feelings. Now in my mid 50's, I am waking up and feeling feelings. Sometimes it is difficult to identify feelings and for years I was not able to put events and feelings together for days or weeks.
      I got the help I needed and am the best I have ever been. I am grateful for great counselors, teachers like Teal, and really good friends :)

      Very similar childhood here. Spent most of my 20’s depressed and now I’m 30 and finally learning how to feel and how love myself and how to manifest. Teal Swan’s teachings have done wonders for my life.

      I am with good company. I had the same thing done. I am glad for this video. Feeling is not bad. Being numb was a way to survive a disfunctional environment. But it does not help in any healthy relationship. Thank you for this video. Thank you Graciela for putting yourself out there.

    I feel very depressed daily, however, I tried this recently and I felt better. And I just tried feeling my depressed emotions again as I watched you video and you're so right the emotion changes itself into emotions that feel better. I can't say I feel joy right now but I feel calm and allot more content.

      It might help to read up into emotions and feelings, try find other words to use instead of depression.
      Most of it, is feeling, but it helps give some reference and understanding to it all, plus people with good energy most likely have that effect on people, positive energy in life helps a lot with mental health.

    I was just doing this exercise for myself and had an interesting thought. What is really happening is that during this exercise, one is putting a spotlight on the feelings and emotions. Now, when you focus on what you are feeling you are bringing light to it. Like watching a play, there must be light on the actors to see them perform. Same with emotion. But eventually, those emotions start to resonate with that light and bring you out of that funk or dark energy.
    But to take that deeper, isn't that what enlightenment means? To become lightened. To shed light on oneself and to live in that light.
    Light is the highest conceivable frequency in this dimension. That is the goal. Bring light to all things.
    This exercise is wonderful. Thank you Teal for all you do.

    Yesterday I was at a really low point, the kind where you want to hide under the covers and sleep all day. I was searching you tube to figure out how to feel better, and I cam across this video. It was refreshing to learn that I didn't HAVE to make myself feel better. I followed this video and allowed myself to feel my emotions and follow them and today I feel a new kind of energy. I had some cleansing dreams last night and feel a bit of "something" lifted today. I really believe this method is a huge reason why I feel better. Thank you!

    THIS IS SO WONDERFUL. I saw this video yesterday and decided to apply today when i feel annoyed because i saw my friend has something i don't (this started from my lack of self love, self worth). I just stayed absolutely present and be with that annoyance, it moved from annoyance, to numbness (not wanting to feel), to annoyance again then numbness again (i almost think it didn't work because those feelings just keep repeating), but i decided to keep going with it, i can't just leave my feeling annoyed like that. But then it moves to anger, then sadness (i want to cry), and after about more than 30 minutes, it finally became an intense loving feeling. I want to cry too but now it is from a joy, loving feeling. Thank you so much!

    This was soooooo helpful to me. I was at the end of my rope and didn’t know what I was going to do. My food had literally been sitting in my stomach in a lump for 7 1/2 hours and after doing this exercise (I followed along and did my own at the same time), my stomach is now more relaxed and it’s making gurgling noises because I think I’m finally digesting my food. Thank you, Teal! 💕💕 i’m going to do this every day, as many times as it takes. What a revelation.

But this is the absolute key to true spiritual healing and self-evolution, to go deeply into whatever it is that you are experiencing and feeling in the present moment.     Wow wisest video I’ve seen in years. I discovered this truth about 8 years ago that “following your feelings” was the true approach in finding out who you truly are and how to be yourself FULLY! You’re one of the ONLY teachers out there who said this and I’m grateful you exist for that reason.     I think I am finally beginning to understand what Teal means by "learn to better feel." It's all about becoming aware of our feelings and emotions and then integrating them. The integrating part I did not understand until seeing this video. This video is really the key to integration! We don't need to change an emotion or feeling ... rather we need to BE AWARE OF IT (hence learning to better feel) and then kind of sink deeply into it instead of running away from it or trying to force change. By sinking deeply into it, it will naturally transmute on its own. A key point is to allow this process to work for itself without getting caught in the stories or why the feeling and emotion exists in the first place.
    Gracella is a brave woman to put herself out there like that!!!

    This is what I have been doing since I was a kid. I’ve always gone through my emotions. And she is right, they change on their own. When I am upset I have a playlist I listen to. It takes me through my feelings of sadness, depression and allows me to cry. Soon, within in hours, days, weeks, my music changes because I get tired of feeling depressed and I slowly move in a different direction. And I can let go of what hurt me and move forward with my life with no fear, without hatred or depression. I can forgive those who have hurt me. This allows me to live life. Laugh. Love like I’ve never had a broken heart.

    A recent traumatic episode had me awake all night for a few days, which was a blessing, because I found a few of your videos and the concept of connecting feelings, as I’ve felt them over time, realizing that they were actually the same...I let my self cry about the current situation in the shower and BAM! While I reflected on the emotion that had me crying, like, crying while observing it, it zapped me right back to 20 years ago, to one of the biggest instances of this emotion, and that I had buried it, and it had affected my whole belief system from then on. It was amazing. I instinctively invited his spirit in, let it tell me why it did what it did, it was regretful, I forgave it, we hugged, it was released. #amazing :)

    I am doing this exercise now. It really works. I was feeling a burning sensation/painful emotion in my stomach and it was so difficult to just feel I tried to push it away. I knew it wouldn’t go anywhere so I just laid on my bed, and completely surrendered to the sensation. After a while the burning feeling eventually moved up to my heart chakra and there I could clearly see what it was; I was finally able to give it a name : guilt. Tremendous guilt of consciously controlling myself. I now want to understand everything about this guilt and embrace it. Thank you Teal.

    I've always done this very naturally on my own. I find emotions to be extremely extraordinary! So why not sit there and feel it when you're feeling absolutely crappy in whatever way? Sure enough it neutralizes itself.

    Your videos are very empowering, honest, and deeply resonate with me. I never feel like I am being spoken to by someone who is teaching from a place of being "above it all", and numb to their humanity, in a state of 'zen-ed out bliss' when I watch your videos, which is something that has always bothered me about many other spiritual teachers and teachings. It's very reassuring to have it reflected back to you that being emotional and spiritual can co-exist. Thank you for putting these up here for anyone who wants to deeply explore these aspects of themselves to have access to. Much love and gratitude, I truly appreciate it.

    Thanks Teal. Awesome, awesome, awesome. I was experiencing fear and loneliness. I did the process as you were coaching Graciella. The feeling of fear has now been transformed to a feeling of peace and gratitude. I would normally run away from bad feelings by numbing myself with food. I never thought to allow myself to experience the feeling to release it. It's a beautiful thing and it works!

    I have a fear; that if I pay attention to and dive deep into my feelings, they'll last forever and I won't be able to get out of them.

      Elif Rather than "I have a fear" you might want to look at it from a different perspective. A fear is a thought(s) and beliefs as a result of conditioned patterns over which you had little or no control (no one can control everything which happens). When this fear (or any fear) arises, you can choose to feed it with your attention and buy into it, or allow it to drift away when you take attention off it. One way is to really be present with the moment (fear is of a fantasied "future").
      It's actually just the opposite of your statement...unless you go deep within and practice self-honesty, patterns tend to continue.

    Thank you Teal, it is great to see people waking up and taking responsibility for their personal aspects of life. These things you teach were missing when I was a child however I was able to respect myself enough to use my heart to figure out what to do even though I knew it was not part of the manufactured environment. I am fortunate that at my age I am able to discover I am not alone & be able to witness others figure it out like you & by you & to share in the magic of finding enlightenment.

    As a Interventional coach student I liked your presentation to move the emotion outside and let it expand and transform outside the body instead of bottling up. I put emotions in 2 categories: + and - the - are signal emotions just like traffic signals, they have a lesson or guidance that they are teaching us and it is important to thank the - emotion for trying to protect or provide us, then feel and move it out of your body and go in presence. Teal, you are a delight to watch & listen to. OM

    We do this with horses, when I train. So many feelings and emotions fly around so quick in the presence of horses, that they forse me into the emotions in order to stay in balance. I love the way Teal expresses this. I love you, Teal. Namaste ya'll.

    Thank you so much Teal. This technique has helped me sooooo much! I've been able to get through all kinds of stuff. Instead of falling apart all day, I fall apart for a few intense minutes and grow from it. One thing it doesn't seem to work on is the desire to get high. That's probably a whole episode, hee hee. I am so grateful for these videos, they are really helping me turn my life around and get myselves working together more harmoniously. Thank you.

    It just pass my mind that years ago when i first watched Teals video i looked at her through the lens of doubt or fear so to speak when my idea of spirituality was a religion. After about an year or two, here i am sitting here resonating with her messages... God is good... Or rather god inside of us is good... ;) haha... btw no offense to any religion. All of us are seeking our origins in one way or other. Right Teal?

    Perfect example of experiencing and becoming aware of it. Resistance, fear, pleasure and all those feelings are reflected back by our body. The mind then summarizes it in a picture. Using our mental paint brush changing the picture then changes the experience into something to carry into the future. Mixed in this is the element of choice. Choices are made by experiences and expectations inside and out. Choosing the experiences and expectations and feeling using our body as a guide makes freedom.

    Wow I love how we r all connected, I usually use this " feeling the feeling" to transform my state of being and feelings, I also use the same process in entering the Meditation state, and when I saw it here it filled me with joy, and made me realise how we r all connected and that there are others out there who feel things like me.
    If I may be of assistance I usually use the words "CONTINUOUSLY letting the feeling be experienced in total RELAXATION"

    i enjoy your videos very much Teal, thank you for this. soon after watching half of this video and stopping at fear for the night before i went to bed ( i should have gone abit further but i feel if i had the next thing would not have taken place) my spirit guide came to me in my dream and guided me through an odd dream before leaving me with a message that i have yet to decode. i feel it was a ment to be dream since fear ( the emotion i generally run from) came up and i allowed it to be there and instead of shunning it i was allowing it.
