Hey Ralph...great post ! 👍🏻...I watch this everytime I want a quick laugh ! It's a quick cure for depression...and anyone who can do that for me...I love them for it ! Thanks Ace ! My favorite joke is "I'm the trout player" over the plumber or "Piece of pipe" line...plus the "crying" remark about spending money...😂...! Anyone else ? It's pure quick wit genius ! 😂...also love the Peter remark about "your highness" but wish I could figure out it's significance better...Ace doesn't seem at all like an out of control sloppy drunk...just seems like he's got a great buzz and he's enjoying himself...saw them right after this in Los Angeles at the forum Nov 7th ! Great time to be young !
Could you imagine what would have happened if Gene and Peter changed places in thier chairs with Gene sitting next to Ace Actually in the Kissology DVD set Gene and Paul did a commentary while this was playing. Paul and Gene were saying stuff like "Ace was very unproffessional. You only get few chances and he was making a mockery of all our hard work" etc. etc. Just a few months before Kiss released a Disco record to break into the pop singles market. The irony
I got this on VHS in the tape trading days in 89, watched this over and over with my friends, best rock and roll interview of any band ever, you actually see the biggest band in the world coming apart, Ace was hilarious and just didn't give AF. Love it.

"Tell me about it!". That makes me almost piss myself laughing every time. At least it went smoother than the infamous interview Tom did with Public Image Limited.

I would give anything to go back in time and hang out for a night with Ace in those days. It was quite uncomfortable seeing Gene and Paul's obvious anger but funny too. Great review!
I think the interview is cringy. Oh no, not Ace. He was a riot and I keep watching it because of him. I still laugh my ass off. I’m talking about Paul and mostly Gene when I say cringy. They needed to get their egos in check and just ride along with it and have fun. It’s too bad they had to be that way. Gene has previously said, “we wanted to be a harder version of The Beatles.” Well, it seemed like The Beatles all rolled off each others humor during interviews. Why couldn’t Kiss?
Many people rip on Gene and Paul, but the band never would have survived if not for them. Also, in all the times i had the opportunity to meet the members, Gene and Paul were always the nicest and Ace was never friendly. Just my experience.
That interview was the kick in the ass gene and paul deserved. Good for Ace & Peter👍.
