Prince Solomon, with his closest man, Ibrahim Pargam Ibrahim receives the bad news in a hunt. His father Yavuz Sultan Selim Khan passed away. Prince Suleyman sets out for Istanbul without waiting. Prince Süleyman quickly reaches the capital. He attends the culus ceremony without waiting. His life changed in one day. He started his life as Sultan Süleyman.
Meanwhile, a galley loaded with slaves coming over the Black Sea is heading towards Istanbul. The hottest of the slaves is not yet aware that he is on a journey that will change his destiny. He is rebelling helplessly to return.
Sultan Süleyman wants to show what kind of sultan he is by the commands he gave on the first day of his sultanate. But not everyone will like these decisions. Sultan Süleyman does not hesitate to challenge all of Europe with the messages he sends.
Alex, despite all his rebellion, is brought to the Topkapi palace. His attitude attracted the attention of Valide Sultan from the first moment. But it won't be long before Alex learns the rules of the palace. He chooses a great target. Alex, Sultan Suleyman's first night on the way to attract his attention. Sultan Suleiman's wife Mahidevran just arrived from the palace of Manisa. He is looking forward to seeing his wife.
Şehzade Süleyman, en yakın adamı Pargalı İbrahim ile birlikte çıktığı bir avda alır kötü haberi. Babası Yavuz Sultan Selim Han vefat etmiştir. Şehzade Süleyman hiç beklemeden, İstanbul’a doğru yola çıkar. Şehzade Süleyman hızla payitahta ulaşır. Hiç beklemeden cülus törenine katılır. Bir günde hayatı değişmiş. Sultan Süleyman olarak padişahlık hayatına başlamıştır.
Bu sırada, Karadeniz üzerinden içi köle yüklü bir kadırga, İstanbul’a doğru gelmektedir. Kölelerden en ateşli olanı ise, kaderini değiştirecek olan yolculuğa çıktığının henüz farkında değildir. Geri dönmek için çaresiz bir şekilde isyan etmektedir.
Sultan Süleyman, padişahlığının ilk gününde verdiği buyruklarla nasıl bir padişah olduğunu göstermek ister. Ama bu kararlar herkesin hoşuna gitmeyecektir. Sultan Süleyman ise gönderdiği mesajlarla, tüm Avrupa’ya meydan okumaktan çekinmez.
Alex, tüm isyankarlığına rağmen, Topkapı sarayına getirilir. Onun bu tavrı ilk andan itibaren Valide Sultan’ın dikkatini çeker. Ama Alex’in sarayın kurallarını öğrenmesi uzun sürmez. Kendisine büyük bir hedef seçer. Alex, Sultan Süleyman’ın karşısına çıktığı ilk gecede onun ilgisini çekmeyi başarır. Sultan Süleyman’ın eşi Mahidevran ise Manisa sarayından yeni gelmiş. Eşi ile görüşmeyi sabırsızlıkla beklemektedir.

One of the most poignant scenes in the series. The reaction of both parents was so heartfelt.
I lost my baby sister and I was only 6 years old when it happened. She was only 23 days old when she died. She would have been 25 this September. It still hurts to this very day.

@@sumbalriaz5124 It was hard for both of my parents. If she was still alive, she'd be in a vegetative state. She was very small when she was born. I was a preemie as well. I was born during my mom's baby shower. I was supposed to be a St. Patty's Day baby, instead I came on February 9. I have health issues because of it, mostly gastrointestinal.

@@cynthiagildea-dixon314 Her son was first sick because of the poison which was Ibrahim's poisoned notebook. When he went to suppress some rebellion, the child got better. Mehmed died because he suffocated. Hatice slept with him and accidentally strangled him.

I know many people don’t like her, but it still hits me hard that she lost her baby. I feel so sorry for her
Honestly, after all she went through in the series, it started to make sense that she became so emotionally fragile. I still don't know why the show was so determined to make her suffer so much when it came to her children.
I cried a lot in this scene. There is no worse thing for a parent to lose his child.

It’s very unfortunate when a mother accidentally kills her own child due to exhaustion, I don’t like her character but losing a child shouldn’t happen to anyone, me and my mom lost my brother to meningitis when he was 8, very devastating, I almost didn’t make it myself

I don't think she suffocated him but she thought she did, when she woke up you can see she's completely dressed and he's laying next to her so she didn't fall asleep while nursing him. It's most likely that poison that hurrem put on Ibrahim's book, it was supposed to give the effect by the touch and right after he touched that book he patted his son's head so that could be the reason.

She was breastfeeding the baby and she fell asleep. Causing her to accidentally suffocate the baby. It happens sometimes and that is why they tell parents to never sleep with an infant in the same bed.

@@AS-yz2iz The baby had previously exhibited signs that something was wrong and then he was fine after he was seen by a doctor. When he died, he showed none of the prior signs that something was in fact wrong with him. Hatice insisted on doing it all alone and she was extremely exhausted, I watched another clip and you clearly see her nursing and then falling alseep while the baby was nursing. The baby died due to suffocation. If not, someone would have seen the signs when they were preparing his body for buriel if not before then. You can't tell me that they noticed when he was alive and crying with red marks on his face, etc and noticed absolutely nothing after his death.

Why did the baby die?
From the looks of it, I think Hatice accidentally suffocated the baby by falling asleep while breastfeeding him.
Not Always it could a sudden death syndrome and it quite Common amongst newborns.

Yeah it is more likely that they made this drama more intense with either accidental death or poisoning of Babies.
