Prince Süleyman quickly reaches the capital. He attends the culus ceremony without waiting. His life changed in one day. He started his life as Sultan Süleyman.
Meanwhile, a galley loaded with slaves coming over the Black Sea is heading towards Istanbul. The hottest of the slaves is not yet aware that he is on a journey that will change his destiny. He is rebelling helplessly to return.
Sultan Süleyman wants to show what kind of sultan he is by the commands he gave on the first day of his sultanate. But not everyone will like these decisions. Sultan Süleyman does not hesitate to challenge all of Europe with the messages he sends.
Alex, despite all his rebellion, is brought to the Topkapi palace. His attitude attracted the attention of Valide Sultan from the first moment. But it won't be long before Alex learns the rules of the palace. He chooses a great target. Alex, Sultan Suleyman's first night on the way to attract his attention. Sultan Suleiman's wife Mahidevran just arrived from the palace of Manisa. He is looking forward to seeing his wife.

Sultan Süleyman, padişahlığının ilk gününde verdiği buyruklarla nasıl bir padişah olduğunu göstermek ister. Ama bu kararlar herkesin hoşuna gitmeyecektir. Sultan Süleyman ise gönderdiği mesajlarla, tüm Avrupa’ya meydan okumaktan çekinmez.
Alex, tüm isyankarlığına rağmen, Topkapı sarayına getirilir. Onun bu tavrı ilk andan itibaren Valide Sultan’ın dikkatini çeker. Ama Alex’in sarayın kurallarını öğrenmesi uzun sürmez. Kendisine büyük bir hedef seçer. Alex, Sultan Süleyman’ın karşısına çıktığı ilk gecede onun ilgisini çekmeyi başarır. Sultan Süleyman’ın eşi Mahidevran ise Manisa sarayından yeni gelmiş. Eşi ile görüşmeyi sabırsızlıkla beklemektedir.

She should have kept herself in high spirits when she found out about the baby and even used this moment with the Sultan to try and connect with him. She was not a smart woman.

It was orginally made for Mahidevran but the Sultan changed his mind and gave it to Hurrem
It isn't just a ring. It represents the Sultan's love. Moroever it isn't pathetic. At that time all women of the Harem acted that way because they didn't have the option to move on & find some other man to love them. Even Hurrem herself acted that way when Firuze came later in the series.
It saddens me how a scripted show makes people hate Mahidevran & other characters like Valide sultan though. They were portrayed mean & weak while Hurrem is the only one portrayed as courageous, smart & cunning. Like literally Valide in real life could have been a sweet mother who loves & treats Mahidevran & Hurrem equally but this show portrayed her like a scheming lady who is biased.
We have to understand this was based on history, and there was a problem of jealousy between the women.
@@duchessstudioband7896 In real history, Mahidevran & the Sultan's sisters weren't allowed to stay in the palace because of the Harem rules. This show is acurate in the side of the politics but the Harem chaos is all fictional.
Hurrem is the empowered one who fought for her rights.Mahidevran had all powerful ones on her side yet she failed

Position doesnt help forever if love is not there. Hurrem too started acting stressed and silly when Firuze came along, but she didnt lose him because he loved her.

It's a pathetic scenario how women were treated in those days but Hurrem fought for her own Rights and Survival.
Where I do pity Mahidevran for losing the sultans love but she did suffer from seriously low IQ, who would risk their position and sultans favour by stealing a ring from the slave, she was lucky to have everyone like Ibrahim and valide on her side, but honestly her own dumbness led to her downfall.
She wasn’t as stupid as you think, but I do think Hurrem was more strategic than her, she was just really unfortunate w him leaving her, no matter what she did he just left, it’s out of her control

@@jacquelineguerra8494 While an interesting theory, the Valide would never have done that when there were other ways to punish Mahidevran for her actions. With only a single heir existing she would have welcomed another to be born as it could only strengthen her son's position.

It's not the ring. It's her love and care for her husband which he didn't bother for. And fell for a mistress who is younger and beautiful. The mistress tried all ways to attract sultan and was successful in it bcoz he was not true to his wife. This is what is killing mahidevran, not the ring.

No one says it's not. Mahidevran loved him, I understand her pain very well. Blame is always on Hurrem, while i think it was always Suleyman's fault. He started to treat her differently and hurt her a lot. Hurrem just did what every concubine would do on her place. Mahidevran did the same Gulfem, on the other hand she should have counted with possibility there will be an another woman. Hurrem did, but she was a way different. Mahidevran thought she will be always the one and she does not have to do anything. She was wrong.

I really like Hurrem sultan in the whole drama but tbh Mahedevran sultan was the real queen with the strongest son prince in my opinion...Mustafa was equal to hurrem's four sons...
I like Mustafa too, but I think Mehmed and Cihangir were equal if not better than Mustafa.

@@amanwaheed4065 I totally agree with you on the janissary point, which in addition to being the eldest made him one of the stronger candidates, though I feel like from what we know of Mehmed and Cihangir I don't think Mustafa would have been the best Sultan out of Suleyman's sons (I know it's controversial to say it don't murder me Mustafa lovers).

Şehzade Ahmed was the son of Şehzade Mustafa, so Mahidevran's grandson.
Raziye Sultan was Sultan Süleyman's daughter with another woman. She was probably the fullsister of Murad but it’s not sure.

@@faryalaziz Since we're unsure of who the mother of Raziye is, Mahidevran *might* have been her mother, if she was the older sister of Mustafa. But for Mahidevran to have more than one son is historically impossible. The Ottomans lived by the "one son for one mother" rule until Hurrem broke it. Suleiman did have two other sons when he first came to the throne, but they were born to other women and sadly died of smallpox early in his reign along with Raziye. (I, personally, sometimes love to think of what could have happened had they lived, though!)
@@Redluna32 Mahidevran gave birth to two sons one died early one was Musrafa and she was pregnant again but they showed she miscarried which isn't true its pure fiction he lived for short time he also had the same disease as Mehmat he died young and Mihirmah was twin with her brother Abdullah he died during infancy and Mahidevran also gave birth to a daughter she died early all of them didn't reach adolescence so far I've read it somewhere they somewhat showed fiction in this drama they didn't quite follow the story and Hurrem killing Mustafa pure fiction and Mehmat was killed by Mahidevran it was added he died of smallpox most of Sulaiman's children died of smallpox or some sort of diseases
