This takes me back. I got the first 2 games when they came out. They were soooo tough but addicting and immersive. The story was fantastic, and the arcade-like graphics really shone.
I wanna say... Before I got the LC of every megaman game on steam. I started watching this and I thought what the hell... I'll play them all... Till this day i'm still watching your zero play threw's my dude thank's so much for helping me out with my ranking. :)
I tried to play this on normal up to the first boss before switching to casual. Genuinely had a LOT more fun just playing instead of having to git gud. Great game and a GREAT walkthrough.
I’m trying to play it on GBA and now I’m definitely thinking about getting it on switch instead of this pain. Casual sounds much more fun than getting destroyed in tiny battle zones.
This is the only game I ever played on my gba over and over again. I always wanted to save the npcs and was so sad I couldn’t save anyone. I hated the enemies whenever they killed me always taunting me.😂 As a kid the world felt so dark and scary I wanted to finish the fight.
@yojanselcuevas I'm only 15, and this along with the Mega Man X series are my 2 favorite video game series ever. I hope there are more people out there like me who are as young as I am that know about or will find out about masterpieces like these and go on to cherish them. I wish everyone from this generation knew about the Mega Man X and/or Zero series :(
Ahh, played this game so much to the point where i memorized most boss movements for dodging, was using no cyber elves for any means necessary, maintained A or S rank for the entire game, relying on 2 sub tanks instead of 4, staying non-elemental during boss fights was extra hard, had to switch a few times in MMZ2. Lot's of dying and loading the saved data to try mission again. Good times. I stopped playing like this for MMZ 3 & 4, waaaaay tooo difficult and a lot to do, not worth stressing over for speed running with A or S ranks, Maybe in 10 years I'll give it a shot. The Z saber with no (Oil) red blood like splatter after slashing.. I think they took away the yellow effect from the North American GBA version. 16:00 The background wall has less oil stains than the Japanese version. Lol, censorship.
Wow I’m impressed! I’ve beat all the Mega Man games numerous time as well as the X games through X5; but I find the Zero games insanely brutal and I just suck at them lol. Definitely need some practice
hey, zero 3 is way easier to A rank, it has an easy free subtank, the ability to use 2 cyberelfs without subtracting from your score and special chips that makes the game really fun to speed thru
The splatter thing is probably (lore-wise) because of the saber being made of a superheated plasma or something that would evaporate any liquid. Don't get me wrong, censorship probably had something to do with it but I like to find lore explanations for things.
Megaman Zero is the hardest Megaman saga imo. I'm pretty good at the classic and X games but sometimes I just feel like a newbie in Zero (specially 1 and 2), great games though.
I remember when I was a kid I had a psp and I played mega man x on it all the time the mega man serious from super Nintendo was my favorite game of all time and I was super super sad when my psp stoped working my dad found this games series for my DS really takes me back playing now never got to one hundred percent complete it as a kid so I'm doing it now thank you ❤️
I would’ve thought I’d be ready for this game after beating mega man x 1-5, but I could not have been more wrong, this game is difficult. I was originally not going to use the cyber elves but eventually i ended up using 2 of them to extend my health. Playing this game without using cyber elves is something that should probably be done after beating the game at least once. (At least for me)
@1:29:50 Ciel: "As long as X exists, maybe someday..." Zero: "So, you'll only be happy if X does not exist...I'll take care of that." Damn. Zero, the ultimate simp 😆
I wanted to see gameplay to analyze the story more. This was very very good. X is my favorite character out of the series and it makes me so sad to know he is gone after the 2nd game. But I know the creators wanted the roles to be switched. I just hope we get Megaman X9 soon. And maybe Command Mission 2
@Jon Ulrick I know what you mean. Capcom wasn't exactly clear about which platforms this collection was coming to during the promo period. I had to go to the official website prior to launch to find out. This collection should be available on PS4 for quite a while, even after the PS5 launches. However, if you're trying to snag it at a discount, I would expect it to be part of a PS Store sale around the holiday season.
I remember playing this and being completely frustrated by how hard it was. Turns out it's bc i was running it on an emulator going at like 3x the speed the games were supposed to run at.
my question is...how is this timeline much harder than in MegaMan X? How did the Elf wars ended up being much more powerful than the Maverick virus itself?
in my mind; the resistance is so weak to everything because, well duh. a bunch of shitty working reploids against what’s basically the world for zero, my guess is that neo arcadia is literally the last bastion for life, they’re gonna have everything there. idk lmao
@@cbou713 I mean...look at this: In the MegaMan X timeline, there are some of the most powerful Reploids who can deal with Sigma, and Sigma can frickin' block planet-sized lasers. At this point, people should've atleast have futuristic weapons that can deal with Reploids In the MegaMan Zero timeline...they can't even destroy a Golem, and Zero barely beats it with his buster... Humans are weaker because Reploids who were enemies in the elf wars are 100 times stronger than them.
It's actually quite simple, while the Maverick Wars happened due the Zero virus that spreads individually between reploids hence can easily be stopped by defeating the carriers of the virus, the Elf Wars happened because of Dr. Weil corrupting the Mother Elf, which has the ability to rewrite *most* reploids on the planet simultaneously, leading to a devastating war that almost wiped out both of humanity and the reploids, the entire reason why humanity didn't go extinct is because X and Copy Zero managed to retrieve the Mother Elf mid war and slow the production of Mavericks. It's honestly quite crazy how they managed to win that war, it was basically humanity plus X and a couple other reploids not affected by the corrupted Mother Elf vs the might of all other reploids on the planet on top of the Baby Elves, not that it matters much since humanity still went extinct by Legends era.
@@voice-less so you're saying is the Elf Wars was much more chaotic because it's a sudden situation where almost everyone became killing machines in less than a second due to the Mother Elf's control?
@@AllenTheAnimator004 That's pretty much it yeah, and even after the reploids were dealt with by X, Dr.Weil just went on to create large amounts of Golems and Baby Elves which ended up killing even more reploids and people.
@Fortitude Valance Indeed. The same mistake was applied to X in the Mega Man X series as well. X & Zero were the originals; every reploids' basic design was based on them. The Day of Sigma animated movie attempted to fix this, but it couldn't fully undo this writing mistake which went on for almost 15 years.
Spoiler Alert: The Zero in these games is not the original zero. It is his mind but not his body. Later on in the series you fight someone called Omega which is the real body of Zero. This body is a reploid body created for Zero's mind.
@firesocks2017 Equipped elemental chips apply elemental damage to your charged attacks only. So, your weapons must be properly leveled to gain charge attack capabilities and accept the element imbued by the chip (Lvl 5 for Z-Saber, Lvl 3 for Z-Buster, Lvl 4 for Triple Rod, & Lvl 3 for Shield Boomerang).
