I still remember when PES had a lot of licenses in 2012 or 2013 it was such a good game, so it’s definitely possible for FIFA and Konami to collaborate

I want 2K to pick FIFA up mostly because if they import the GM mode from NBA into it then it will be leagues better than the janky crap EA has. The fact that you can’t see a player’s historical stats or a team’s history in FIFA is insane
Also how u can’t setup a online tournament. Can’t cross play career mode. Old gen and new gen existing. Game has so many simple problems that haven’t been fixed yet.

Honestly think if FIFA team up with 2K, and make a game that has countries where you play the world cup from qualification stage for any country of your choice and have all the federation's tournaments (for example euros, Africa cup of nation's, Copa America etc) that'd be dope
EA don't need to collaborate with 2K to do that. EA is just too money driven so they ignore quality offline modes features for microtransaction rich online modes
If 2K could get FIFA, that could spell disaster for EA. Like karma for them. When they decided to get the licenses for 🏈 when NFL2K was a thing and they were better than EA. 2K needs to pull the trigger on this one with FIFA. And return the favor.

I would rather see 2K get the rights. They make the best sports games hands down, way better graphics, online and career modes that EA or Konami has ever done.

2k's version of Ultimate Team actually allows you to play the players you wont without paying thousands of dollars. And when you call them with an issue they actually try to resolve it. EA has literally hung up on me when I could due to lost content for Madden and Fifa.

A Sleeper game developer that could pick up FIFA is San Diego Studio, they Currently make the MLB: The Show franchise, they're own by Sony so there could be a big support from Sony and FIFA

Fifa should go with PES, and then host the Fifa eSports Word Cup. Only national teams, get all the licenses...then keep the traditional pes league scheme/career academy/focus. Prevent EA Sports from making a properly licensed World Cup game, market a massive 4 year tournament eSports World Cup, build a more in depth career mode etc...
Let EA Sports focus on ultimate team and arcady simulations.
Fifa should build up the pes dev team and tell them they have 2 years to build a pure simulator from scratch. Then gradually secure national team licenses and develop an in depth, AI assisted, career mode.
Whoever gets the next game, please update the boots, players faces (Haircuts, beards, tattoos) fast. I’m still waiting to see the new boots in FIFA 23. It’s a thing for me. Players need to look like how they are when they play on the weekends in real life. You could call me a boot aficionado 😂

FIFA should give the licence to Konami so that eFootball doesn't have to use fake emblems.
Fifa 21 was the last one I bought, could not keep buying the same game every year, no changes in career mode and even less national teams every year that passed. Competition is what the market needs, no more monopoly.
The last one I bought was 18. got 19 from a friend and 22 through PS+ . I genuinely found 18 the best one of the lot

Cheers from the states and I hope that future football games are more realistic/simulators than Fifa has been. the problem with that is that the UFL team probably don't have enough money for the license, it would take FIFA to lose money with that deal which I doubt they would do

This is the last EA "Fifa" title for me. I lost all trust in EA Sports, and they had way too many opportunities to fix our 29 year relationship. No FIFA, no sale.
At this point no magic trick or game mode will help them.
Visual Concepts is the most skilled developer that could go against EA. They have dominated EA in every sports game they have ever tried to make which is why EA has thrown money around to acquire exclusive licenses and stifle competition.
BTW 2K may be dumped on by Americans (we have high standards when it comes to gaming) but they are leagues beyond EA’s version of FIFA in quality. The quality and depth of gameplay modes both online and offline for 2K’s games dwarf EA’s FIFA.

EA and called in FIFA for years. News articles, celebrations, and just most of the game is copied and pasted year to year. My player is so broken it's almost not worth it anymore. I would love to see what 2K or another big publisher can do

I see comments about people want other studios to pick up the FIFA license. It is not the case that EA lost the license. FIFA wants to develop its own game to make money.

Volta isn't new, it's FIFA Street that someone found in the back of the shed where it's been gathering dust for 10 years, dusted it off and presented it as a totally new shiny for FIFA. And i have no doubt it was added to try and milk players for FUT money by having it use an entirely separate set of cards to buy packs of.
That, to me, is the biggest problem EA has. People don't trust them to deliver a good product anymore, they've been cutting corners for years and cutting features and leaving them out for a couple of years before presenting them as something new in the game again.
I’d assumed FUT 24 would be a free-to-play game with a shitload of micro-transactions. Pay to win, as it has been for years

We all know that FIFA is just a name and EA's new football game will still be "FIFA" with a different name.
Whoever gets naming rights of FIFA (and of course FIFA's competition licences like WC and CWC) will still have to compete with EA's clubs and leagues licences, and as we know it won't be easy. Not only that but also game modes.
And main point you didn’t mention is fifa organization should hire new developers team to work on their new game now! Probably will need like year or more to create something at least not much worse than fifa 23 by ea sports

When they added Volta, they basically bundled FIFA Street with FIFA. It’s a shame they didn’t manage to bundle FIFA Manager as a massive improvement on the single player part of the game. But why would they? FUT is their cash cow, earns them more than sales of the game, so that’s why they concentrate on FUT.
It’s 2023 and FUT still isn’t able to keep a player’s match-ratings to get an overall average over time, like FM have managed since about 1995, going way back to when the ARSE command was a thing: add it to a text document and you too could have a player who could be a nobhead like Anelka.
THAT’S how long I’ve been playing CM/FM, back to the days when CM Italy was a separate standalone purchase. Looking back now, when we can have the English pyramid down to level 11, and nearly a hundred separate country’s leagues included in the box, plus a mod or two.
BUT, no amount of tactic-tweaking and financial management matches the actual playing the matches. FIFA Manager tried to do both, and almost got there (in a basic way)

If Konami can get to the level they were at in the mid 2000s with Winning Eleven, I would love for them to get the licenses. I used to buy Winning Eleven from Japan and rig the PS2 so the game would play. Those were the best games, though I had to edit every player’s name. I couldn’t stand those weird names 😂

The only way Fifa can win is if they make a game that leans heavily into the "Fifary" stuff, and no I don't mean a game filled with bribery and corruption, lol. Fifa should make a game that has competitions like the World Cup, Euros, Copa America, AFCON, Nations League etc built into it much like what EA did with the UCL. Fifa should also focus on making a game that is stronger in departments that Fifa is week so maybe bring back the career mode that used to be so much better in the EA games that came before FUT was introduced. But they also need to build in some fun arcade game so that casuals can pick up the game and still have something that can make them play the game. If they can do that, then they don't even need to worry about competing with FUT too much, they can figure that out as time goes by.
I just hope they get a functional game going as a start 😅
@@Sam.Explains I hear you on that, sadly I think it's highly unlikely, this is probably going to play out like it did with Championship Manager and FM, but I hope I can be proved wrong. One thing that Fifa do have in their favour though is that, in theory, they have unlimited shots that they can take in trying to make a game to rival EA because they have a strong enough brand to work with otherwise odds are firmly stacked against them.

Good video but I can't let you get away with calling 2000s Pro Evo (PES) simple. It's the exact opposite. During that era, FIFA was the simplistic and arcadey plug and play game, you would play with your boys on Friday nights - and it was full of pointless gimmicks like "First Touch". PES was THEE football simulation. If you wanted realistic, tactical football you would play Pro Evo. PES peaked in 2005 with Pro Evolution Soccer 5. FIFA only got better once they decided to be Mark Zuckerberg and started copying PES game mechanics and features. Ultimate Team was inspired by PES's Master League
