Now I wanna build my 02 Sport trac! Super awesome build! I just did an 97 Cherokee on 35s but I like to be different. No body does these that much, which is why its so cool in my opinion.
after years of jeeps, I also built a 1 ton sport trac, but a 1st gen. No wider than a jeep, full frame, way better back seat, and the small bed keeps all your dirty gear out of the cab, you can carry gas cans with no fumes etc. A ton of work to build compared to a jeep but it has taken a beating.
@@GabeHelma 4.6L is better. Obviously more power, better towing capacity, and gets the same fuel economy. Not to mention that the 4.6L doesn't suffer the same issues like the 4.0L such as the thermostat housing or timing chains.
I prefer the 4.6 as well over the 4.0L also the first sport trac I owned gave out as you previously mentioned due to timing cassette failure. I just recently picked up an 07 and also prefer the ride quality much more as compared to its predecessor.
Respect to anyone who turns a wrench on their own rig. That being said, he takes it a step further with a one-off build. I love seeing builds like this. My brother has a built B4000 similar to this and it’s a head turner compared to my TJ on 37’s.
I just bought an 2001 full 4x4 sport trac 4.0 and I have been looking for a shop in the Los Angeles northeast area like Burbank, Pasadena, Arcadia, Pomona, etc. to help me do what you have done to yours. It has a 126,000 miles and is so clean inside and out that I think it would be perfect candidate for my first small rock crawler. Currently I play around with my old Z71 Chevy full size suburban (a little too big in the gold country up in Big Bear, CA) and my other big rigs are ‘06 F250 crew cab 4x4 short bed and 2012 crew cab 4x4 full size. Both have seen a lot of off road but are way to big. Can you possibly help point me in the right direction of a reputable shop in this area that can help. I used to be a professional mechanic for Ford. I’m very capable just getting old (65) and would like some help building it before I’m too old. Lol 😂
I've been thru 15 Fords already 2 exlporers including a 97 5.0 AWD and a V8 07 they're junk no diff locks Fords gone so cheap it ain't funny coolant leaks at 72k miles alternators going out exactly at 90k miles or less my old crown vics are the only Ford I'll drive

We need more videos like this! I love seeing unique well built rigs and hearing their back/build stories from the owner.
Great work. I enjoy watching the original stuff!
That is a cool build.

I love my 21 Rubicon but this truck is cool! It’s different and I like that...
looks so good, I always wanted to do a baja build of one of these.
messing with rocks is not my thing but i love this!
Have a 08, same color thats my daily..and a 06 LJ on 33's...really hard not to dream of an ST build.
Amazing build..!!! Love it..
A lot of hard work and long nights put into a project like that. Respect 🙌🏼
Very nice build on that 07 Trac. I miss having one of these extremely comfortable midsize trucks (had an 07 4.0L and a 10 4.6L)
Which one did you prefer? Im leaning towards the 4.6

I'm planning to do the same but my sport trac is the previous gen.
Glad u r showing us ur truck👍
Love this rig and want to do the same. Taking the wife’s 2010 limited explorer. And yes it’s v8 and 4x4
Now THERE is something you don’t see every day. What a cool crawler
I've always enjoyed watching and building the usual trucks so this truck and video are great
I love this rig so much! I love how well built and planned it it - that comes from experience, which he clearly has.

That thing is WAY cooler than a JL
Dynus a favor and bring this yruck to Saeah at Sarah-n-Tuned and oet ger revire this Truck.
Yes better than a JL.
Amazing truck..... but Ford circled the problem..... lmao
Last I checked you circle the correct answer on tests, not the incorrect answers. Jus sayin’. Haha
Don't like fords, nice build though.
WAY cooler than a JL, but I am a Ford guy and I like unconventional builds .
