Good tips! Would you say that you benefited from missing out on some of those pre-MBA events since you were able to secure an internship before you started? I’m sure many students would be interested in hearing about how you secured the bag before starting school.
Great question and thank you for the support! I’m hind-site I would definitely still do pre-mba recruiting. My life was significantly less stressful as a student even though I missed out on taking a true break before school. Also, not everyone does pre-mba recruiting so you’re left with a smaller pool of applicants to compete with, but for limited slots. Google, LinkedIN, and your undergrad alumni network are your best friends for finding pre-mba opportunities.
What up! Using LinkedIn/Google/YT I’d take time to research 3-5 accessible people who may be living your ideal life, working your dream job, or ascending in your ideal career. From there, look and see if they have MBAs or PhDs in managment. If the answer varies, or is split between the two, then do what makes sense for you, your time, and your money. There’s no wrong answer. Best of luck!
