Action Movie Kid You are great VFX Guru. Please make tutorial how to make realistic shooting fire with relighting on the actor using Ae or Trapcode Particular . Please include colorista and Magic bullet for Cinematic color grading. Anything else like Laser beams. Energy ball. Thanks
just saw randomly this video and I cant prevent myself to subscribed your channel. So awesome! Really don't stop making these tutorials for newbies like me.
It's great to see you with Red Giant! For all the love you've shown them over the years I hope they gave you a parking space that comes with a masseuse. Oh, also, I learned a bunch of stuff in this video which I'll be putting into practice tonight!
I love that people think they have a "better alternative" to industry standards, until they realise why those programs are industry standards in the first place haha
Joe Hut yep, for the longest time I used Cinema 4D and after effects thanks to their ease of use. I’ve since switched to using Autodesk Maya and Blackmagic Fusion/Davinci resolve. (Nuke is extremely expensive, fusion is essentially the same so why waste money)
@@krowwithakay Nuke is a blessing, I'll tell you that much! Too bad it is relatively new and they DO check for cracked versions and stuff. A guy I know got sued by them for using a cracked version (as a student), so he settled with them to buy a 3 year license, which is pretty expensive if you're a student.. I'll check fusion out, it looks like a Nuke rip-off, which is pretty interesting!
This looks so great!! I can't wait to learn enough about after effects and photoshop to look at something and be like, "Oh I know exactly how to do that!" Thank you!
The most amazing thing for VFX lovers like us for videos like this is we get to see a particular effect and many other effects related to it. We can actually make a handful of effects with this particular tutorial, ofcourse, attaching our ideas with it. Thank you so much for it dude. Film riot, watch out brother. And as for next videos, rotoscoping really helps, I know but how about help us get some amazing visuals with the help of green/blue screen as well.
Finally looked at the first one. I've run through a few them that kept referencing this one and it's decidedly one of my favourite. I'd love too one recreating Dracula's bat out scene from Dracula Untold.
Anyone coming back to this tutorial for the segment at 5:35? The effect reminds me of the hallucination VFX from Midsommar (i.e., the trees warping during Dani's first trip).
Nice work. If your interested the actual effects in the film were made using houdini sims for grass, ground and 3d cloths then nuke for comping the effect
These are great! My friends and I are getting ready to shoot a short film in ATL.; We have a VFX artist but we're trying to figure out the best way to make a rowboat appear more like a ship in post. (We're doing this on a shoestring budget and using whatever resources we have access to.) It's going to be difficult because the rowboat will be in motion.
If you want something small to appear large, shoot at a higher frame rate (like 120), so you can slow it down in post. Slow motion things, when presented as if they're at regular speed, feel much larger.
That's such a huge complint. I rember watcNice tutorialng Nice tutorials videos/channel with hundreds of thousands of subs when I was just starting out
Really LOVE the things you do and show!.. Could you perhaps do something similar but using Psunami to flood the area , maybe around sort of a pillar that the character is standing on? There are hardly any good tutorials including nifty use of Psunami.... it would be really great to see how you’d solve something like that, maybe with some foam an spray where the water would hit to make it look more realistic... cheers Hans
Hi first of all thanks for taking the time to make this awesome tutorial. I have a problem though, I can't get the same transparency on the curtain unless I play with this opacity, also the Prism is applied to the entire comp. Please help. Thank you:
Hi Sir Newbie here please help 1. how did you make the blue ground plane track 2. How did you make the checkered box fit on the position of the blue ground plain box that fast? Sorry i cant seem to align it manually. Thank you
