His terrible ideas trounced Eric’s creative in 98 & 99
He reviewed Survivor Series 1998 with Conrad and said it was great booking, he didn't know it was Russo's creative that did it.
Vince had some great ideas.
Pushing Booker T and Chris Benoit and Bret Hart to the main event = Smart.
Giving TV time to Rey Mysterio and Billy Kidman = Smart
Take some of the TV time off the old guard to allow the younger guys to do more = smart
Seriously watch the last couple of months of Nitro before Russo turned up. It was DIRE and needed shaking up.
The problem was there was no Vince McMahon to filter out the 97% of his ideas that were shit.
All the guys you mentioned were featured prominently by previous bookers in WCW including Eric Bischoff.
Eric bischof, the Kim Jong Ill of pro wrestling.... he came up with every good idea, and never a bad one.... by the end of the 20's he will be taking credit for inventing pro wrestling.
But he just said in this clip he has had bad ideas?

Bischoff is just some nerd who wanted to hang out with the boys using someone else's money. He was able to come up with the nWo by copying an angle from Japan that he didn't know how to finish

Ohhh yeah Eric? Just like you and Hogan killed TNA with your creative ideas 💡. Russo did some crazy sh!t but he had some good storylines in attitude Era and TNA. WCW was so bad with politics and creative control that it deserved Russo's crazy booking in 2000s😂 to put it out of its misery.
A room full of marks listening to a mark interviewer ask a guy who only ever had one good idea in his life (The nWo, which he ran into the ground) if another guy (who ended his 83 week win streak against the WWF with his Attitude Era creative direction, before replacing him in his role in WCW) ever had a good idea in his life.....
Also, Eric takes accountability for his mistakes? Have you heard his excuses for Starrcade 97? Go listen to Conrad Thompson grill him about that bs. What an absolute joke of a video this is....
Define irony Bischoff saying Russo never had any good ideas considering Bischoff only had one which was the nWo that was a ripoff of Japan. I'll agree Russo ruined WCW with his creative. But look at Eric's track record. He allowed his one good idea to ruin the rest of the success of WCW. Bischoff also never takes responsibility for his mistakes and failures. He speaks about it but I've never heard him one time take accountability for turning WCW around into a success then ruining it just as quickly.
To be fair, WCW was ruined before Russo got there.
Whose idea was it to give Hulk Hogan creative control? I don't think it was Russo's, Eric wasn't that much smarter.

Hulk Hogan got creative control because he was bigger then WCW and his brand was worth more then WCW. If you were as big as Hulk you would do the same thing.

I think the thing with Vince Russo is that he comes up with 25 ideas and 5 of them are really great. It's up to the people above him to not allow those 20 on TV. That's why he had success in WWE, only his best 5 ideas made it. On WCW all 25 ideas made it one TV, 20 of them being not good.
The genius of McMahon is he ran everything but he never thought of wrestling anything other than a business. Bischoff and Russo, got so entangled with the drama in the ring they never thought about what is good for business. Vince would come out and cut a promo and go back to his desk, Bischoff was partying with NWA and Dennis Rodman etc he got caught in the attention he was getting. Add Russo to that mix and WCW was heading straight to the iceberg with no one at the bridge!
