    I don't know where I heard but when Bret Hart said I can't sit in the backyard and have a conversation with my peers like Curt, Owen, Rowdy, Rick, Jim etc., and talk about the matches we had was so gut wrenching. Bret really wanted to have that reunion with his contemporaries and talk about the glory days and not able to share that with his peers just sucks.

    I met Jim at a doctors office a year before he passed. I saw him and his wife walk in. He went over to the magazine rack. As he started walking over to the seats I said, "Anvil". He looked and walked over with a smile. Didn't really talk about anything interesting considering where we were at, but was cool just to say hi. My wife has helped Nattie at her job before. Aways nice.

    To go through the amount of losses that Bret Hart has gone through... virtually every family member and best friend he's ever had, in such tragic circumstances too... Jim Neidhart was someone who was right there with Bret alongside every tragedy. So for Jim to now be gone too, that must hit extra hard for Bret. • @nicholasvertucci2054
      @nicholasvertucci2054 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There was no feud...they had one match...which you've completely misinterpreted. Two complete babyfaces both wanting to prove who the better man and more worthy champion is, who are willing to do whatever it takes to win the match, but have to choose between right and wrong. Fighting fairly and risk losing or doing whatever it takes to win and losing the respect of the audience and each other. What is more important? Friendship and respect or pride and the championship. You need to rewatch it. If you have the same understanding after it ends, you have no business calling yourself a wrestling fan.

    Bret gets a lot of credit for his technical ability, and correctly so because he's one of the greatest ever, but I'm not sure he gets the credit for how important he was to the WWE during the early to mid-90's. The WWE could have legit folded in the wake of steroid scandal, a lot of the top guys from the 80's had moved on, and it fell on Bret to carry the company through those years until it found its feet again. Plus without him the Attitude Era would not have happened, or at least it wouldn't have happened in the way that it did.

    Fav Hart Foundation memory? Either when Andre tossed Bret onto Jim in the Battle Royale at Wm 2 or when they teamed up with Danny Davis to beat the Bulldogs+Tito at Wm 3

    I was in Indy for that match against Piper. Easily my favorite match that night. Bret stood out in every live event I attended back in the day, from local events up to Wrestlemania 8 (the only Mania I was able to attend).

    When the news came out of Jim's death, Bret couldn't make a full statement. He said something like, "Shocked and saddened. I just don't have the words right now." He gave a full statement praising Jim and the work they did about a few days later. With the wrestlers that we've lost in recent years, I'd think that it must getting to Bret to see his peers die. Yes, people are irreplaceable but there's a phrase: When a loved one becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.

    Bret is definitely a true man. Feel bad for him, losing his dad / Owen & Jim. Neidhart was with him so long and thats almost like family. Theres still Harts left but the WWE era is gone. Piper did a promo on Russo in TNA & Roddy asked him about " killing his cousin Owen". So if it was true family or not Piper definitely took it as if true. Would be nice to see wrestling family sit down, Von Erich & Hart. Just Kevin & Bret, since both have the family mantle on them. Their family was the federation.

    People take issue with Bret because he didn’t talk like flair or hogan. No, he had his own charisma that people either loved or hated. He was great and not the sos kind of wrestler that too many people liked.

    Long live Jim Niedhart- The Anvil !! Jim was tough, but funny guy at times, he made me laugh alot when he would wear thst little hat to the ring. Bret was always serious. Bret coined it exactly-- I am thr porsche and Jim is the tank, we mesh well.

    I liked Bret as both F or H , but as heel he was my favourite, when he went on his WCW attack attacking the cruiserweights etc , and that sharpshooter off the ring post,
    As heel in WWF 97 he was great,
