    Who was Andres best matchup?
Let us know what you think!

Andre had some amazing matches in Japan against Stan Hansen. I remember in one of their matches Andre sold Stan's lariat so well. Stan ran through and hit the lariat he went through the middle ropes straight to the floor. The crowd went mad for that as Andre being so huge and larger than life never sold like that. The lariat was so massively over already but for Stan to send The Giant flying out of the ring took it to another level.

Watching Bret choke up at the end when he found out that it was Andre who wanted to wrestle him was touching. You can tell that Bret is deeply honored.

Bret's finisher could almost be called the Straight Shooter instead, because that's what he is. He talks so open & honest. He can be quite blunt but it's that matter-of-factly way he speaks which I think a lot of people respect. He turns off a lot of people because they just say he's whiny or whatever but he wears his heart on his sleeve, & I can believe what he says. He probably has the most respect for this business, and anyone who is anyone in wrestling respects the hell out of Bret, & I think that speaks volumes to the man he is.

This is the best I have ever seen Brett look. It's nice to see the man behind the ego, and it's a LOT easier to show him the proper respect in this context.
Also, the absolute awe shown to Andre by so many legends tells you everything you need to know. Hogan showing outright deference, in the humblest of fashion, tells you everything you need to know about how big, and powerful, the Giant really was. Jake tells you everything you need to know about how human he was.
This is my favorite Brett interview, and it's nice to feel good about Brett Hart.

people knock em on em for talking about himself a lot ..but he really was one of the best and he's one of the few who are fully aware of it. What he did was truly an art form. anyone who does anything in that fashion, isn't well liked by a lot..but you will respect em

Same, every single person said Andre was the kindest man in the world. Never heard a single person speak negatively about Andre, never. Everyone, like you said, spoke positively about him and choked up when talking about him. Breaks my heart that so many took advantage of Andre's kindness and the mother of his child never allowed him to see his daughter, broke Andre's heart.

Bret is definitely up there with Andre in the amount of respect and love from his peers and how willing he was to putting others over and helping others.
