He was lazy. Paul is making six figures while his guys from ECW died in poverty while he was owed hundreds of thousands. Mox just wanted to put on a memorable Mania match. Sorry if that’s a problem Brock. Glad you jobbed to Cody.
@@WOHBuckeye I second that! Sorry Mox wants the best out of his opponents and himself to put on the best match he can. And sorry he likes to bleed look at his background and career where it started. His first contract wrestling job where he honed his craft and learn how to work with the crowd and shoot wrestle was in "Puerto Rico?" I think, one of the "P" places anyways. Was pretty much, every fight a blood match. And if didnt bleed fast enough or boring They crowd would literally throw whatever they could find at the wrestlers, including a literal "kitchen sink, said Mox" and try to hit you and get you to bleed that way if not to the crowds liking or quenching their blood thirst. So can you blame him, Can you really blame Mox for bleeding as oftenly as he does in his matches. It's what he knows best and taught very early on in his career when he was still very new and inexperienced, figuring it and himself all out and learning how to basically wrestle and how to put together a match and tell a story. Anyways.... Never judge Mox for his choices. He has a reason for everything and planned out and nothing is done for nothing. Everything he does has a reason and point when he does it. @@WOHBuckeyeI just read an article about how Dreamer was planning on shooting Heyman because he convinced him not to accept a $750,000 contract with WWE and stay at ECW right before Heyman himself jumped over to WWE.
It's not a character. That's why he's so good at it. Heyman treats the storylines as real, yes. But he's not acting a persona. Many wrestlers today could learn from him
Yeah I have... i have to say I went in thinking it was boring but it was a really interesting read, provided a lot of perspective and honestly, that along with Brock opening himself up more recently has given me a lot of respect for him. He get's a lot of stchik for his 'get in get out' attitude but I can honestly understand it being an introvert myself. Like you said he's given a lot more than we think to the business and as for MMA, I'm a UFC fan and while I didn't get to see them live, I've watched all his fights. I genuinely think had he got into it earlier and not had diverticulitis, he could have been one of the absolute best at Heavyweight. Then again his first WWE run made him as famous as he was which helped, and he's given a lot to both worlds. A certified Hall of Famer in both. I hope he and Paul finish the story when he finally hangs it up.
I would just say this... Have you heard Seth Rollins talk about working with Brock? Have you heard Cena talk about working with Brock? Have you heard Roman talk about working with Brock? Angle? AJ? Orton? list goes on and on.... Not ONE of those guys mentioned the word "lazy". All due respect to Moxley. But there is no pattern here. He is the outlier.
Now that I'm older, damn Heyman just totally disarmed the question, never answered anything and let the audience thinks he answered with the stone cold jab.
AJ was getting popular & fans were booing Dean at Backlash aside from his 2018 return & heel turn fans were giving him mild reactions & now those same people have the audacity to say that WWE didn't treat Dean well nah they gave him an opportunity & once he got it ya'll turned on him fuck those smarks
@@nickhughes8179Funny hoe you all bag Dean Ambrose for using thumbtacks and barbed Wire, yet you cheered Cactus Jack, Sandman, Tommy Dreamer, Terry Funk etc doing it all the time. You are all hypocrites, and Heyman is a hypocrite for bagging Ambrose doing that when he ran a whole company based on using thumbtacks, barbed wire, fire and more.
You can't make someone like Jon do anything, which is both a highly positive and a highly negative trait depending on what you're trying to accomplish with him.
I mean, considering some of the shit he's done in AEW, I'm not surprised that Moxley's ideas got ignored by Lesnar. Cody, Danielson, AJ Styles, and Roman Reigns are just a few examples of Brock going out of his way to give people an amazing show. Especially with Cody considering that he showed up almost the entirety of April and May, bled buckets for him, and sold his ass off for him.
A lot of wrestlers like AJ Styles will tell you that Heyman is a Fraud and a liar. He can easily manipulate low IQ wrestling fans. Brock Lesnar is a professional LAZY wrestler. Moxley said in the Wade Keller interview that he never wanted the weapons in the match. Vince wanted the weapons in the match. Moxley wanted Lesnar to literally kill him in the match by beating him UFC style by bare hands and Moxley wanted to display the never say die attitude in the match to make people feel a certain way emotionally like they are literally watchinh a thrilling movie in the ring but Lesnar was like "No,I would rather do 2 moves and I would rather keep getting those easy paychecks because I'm a LAZY professional wrestler."
meeting Paul was interesting, like we had a legit argument in regards to backstage toxicity and onstage personas and literally not a drop of sweat in that entire convo, shook his hand and shared some laughs with him, awesome moment
So just like Paul does, He ignores the question presented and talks about something that didn't have to do with the Wrestlemania match lol. People forget have he handled business in ECW and how he choose to not pay his talent over and over.
A Paul Heyman fan lives in a world of lies because he manipulates low IQ people like you with a mic in his hand. Steve himself apologized to Moxley with a phone call. He agreed that he should not have asked him about his childhood questions,he agreed that he himself did not do his job of making the person getting interviewed feel comfortable. And,Moxley and Austin are on good terms now while trash low IQ Paul Heyman fans are still obsessed over it LOL.😂🤣
@@edwardmorgan5373 So? guess what Austin was pissed also but he decided to make chicken salad out of chicken shit rather than whine about it. Moxley is from generation entitled and he like many of this generation believe they deserve things rather than having to earn things. Taker was right, a bunch of soft babies we have now sitting around playing video games telling each other how great they are while the ratings continue to stagnate.
Heyman is right about Lesnar but Lesnar was also a part to blame for how the match was supposed to be. Why a part? It's mostly WWEs fault. The fans expectations and the way WWE promoted the whole match for WM32 was literally about "an extreme fight" with Terry Funk and Mick Foley helping Jon with giving him extreme items at the time. But then Brock realized he was going to show up at UFC in the later week so he just went, "uh you know what, let's don't do that because I have a UFC match after this" It's clearly WWE's fault.
That's exactly right, WWE painted themselves into a corner with the Moxley/Lesnar match. Brock has shown since he came back, that he CAN NOT wrestle a full thirty minute match, it's literally what was on his shirt a while back - "Eat, Sleep, Suplex, Repeat". That's all he is, he's just a guy with three moves - Suplexes, F-5 and the occasional Kimura Lock. Moxley/Ambrose was also to blame as well, because the fact that they had those vignettes of Foley coming in, giving him the 2x4 barbed wire and then Funk come in and give him the chainsaw from his "chainsaw charlie" gimmick (which ironically, was used in the Finn Bálor entrance the night before on NXT Takeover lol).
@@GenGamesUniverse Dude the guy had match of the year competitors with Cena, CM Punk and Triple H since he came back. He started spamming suplexes because the marks made "suplex city" a thing. After that he stopped doing all the slams, powerbombs and throws and started spamming german suplexes because the marks went crazy for it. If you want to blame anybody for Lesnar becoming "lazy" then blame yourselves because Brock gave you exactly what you asked for.
The fact that Ambrose pitched the WM 32 match to be Brock squashing him and leaving him to do all the dangerous spots only to still be rejected tells me all I need to know about this situation. Yeah, Ambrose was Ambrose (the usual suspects online will harp on this) and Brock was Brock (the usual suspects will also harp on this) but WWE being WWE (not enough people harp on this, IMO) in making things way harder than they needed to be is what caused everything not to work.
Now at that careers several years after the match.Jon was doing good in aew for a little bit, promos started going downhill, went to rehab, bcc, bleeding every match/segment getting into with cm punk because a bigger star came in. Brock was in the main events still cause he can make you money, dropping Braun Strowman, best Babyface turn in a long time, has several business, own slaughterhouse, and one of the most loved wrestlers today. Also while Jon fake being crazy Brock is actually has that a title to his name for years
I doubt he expected him to go as extreme as CZW but maybe something more than just a few kendo stick shots. The match was advertised as no hold barred street fight yet nothing really happened. It was underwhelming.
@@BucksInSix333 you can blame Moxley for that. If you are going to build a match with Lesnar don't try to do a clown extravaganza with an UFC guy with credibility or you will just going to have the less of him. And Lesnar is lazy enough. I can say that, too
I really hate the widespread use of the word "toxic." What happened to just calling a person an a$$hole? Or if you want to elaborate more use your words. The English language is the best language in the world and people should use more of it.
I don't bcoz he is biased as fuck. There is more to it. I believe moxley when he says Brock doesn't care. And you can see he doesn't care if he doesn't like the guy and would suplex and finish the match
Heyman is the best hype man of all time. Most of what he said here was just background noise and had nothing to do with the question. He failed to say that Brock was juiced out of his mind to beat Mark Hunt. He doesn't say at the time Brock became the UFC champ, the Heavyweight division wasn't nearly as talented as it is now. Brock did win though and we can't take it away from him but spare me with the overly dramatics.
Id say the heavyweights he fought were still way better tho Rn we have like Jones and gane being the only heavyweights w champ experience And your tryna tell thats better than Frank Mir, Randy Coutoure, Alistair overeem, prime shane carwin and prime cain velasquez???
I remember thinking that the Lesnar/Ambrose match never really got going. It felt like just when it was starting to gear up... It ended. I don't recall it being an awful match just not very exiting 😅
@@Brooks1874 you mean listening? 'Cause it's a podcast, and you haven't been listening enough. But I don't need Jim's opinion to know that Moxley admitted to being a Hogan-tier snake. I never got the Moxley thing tbh. On a public stage he’s not a good speaker and it shows in every interview after. I wonder if it’s due to injuries like no lie but I never got him and he does every match diminishing returns on blood in a match it’s odd af

@The coldest Playa I get liking Hardcore wrestling but there’s a time when we just need to stop with blood and barbed wire and all that stuff and just have a match without anything like that. Moxley overdoes it in my opinion.
@@grantslater861 There's a certain lack of braincells in liking hardcore wrestling. There's no artistry or class to it whatsoever. It's the pro-wrestling equivalent of the Jerry Springer show.
"Did you see his performance on the Stone Cold Podcast? You think that didn't piss off Steve Austin?" Steve Austin took full responsibility for that podcast because Mox was promised they wouldn't ask certain questions about his home life growing up and they did anyway; so he was taken off his game.
They gave him the top prize and i remember clearly how he just came off like he didnt care, and you can say well wwe didnt give him much to do, but the champions before and after him did alot with whatever wwe gave them, he just seems like he doesnt care and is bored most of the time
Judging by the crap we’ve seen Moxley do in AEW I’m not shocked Brock refused to wrestle Moxleys style of match, Brock might be the smartest guy in WWE to avoid being sucked down into the bull shit with Moxley. Go watch Brock vs Bryan danielson, Brock vs Samoa Joe, Brock ve cm punk. And then Brock vs Moxley. There’s a reason he gave punk and Bryan danielson so much and made it look like they were gonna win at any second, and with Moxley it wasn’t even close. Brock clearly doesn’t respect Moxley or his terrible attitude
@@Flecha4991 Moxley seems to have taken this mentality to heart that anything ECW did he can personally do bigger and better, AEW is a very obviously sports entertainment stylized company and they follow the mold set by WWE, WCW, and TNA. By which I mean quick camera ques, pyro, bright lights, in house or licensed music, and a more mainline wrestling and promo style. Where as ECW was more gritty and raw, and obviously had a shoe string budget and what they lacked in funds they made up for with spontaneity and bloody gimmick matches. Moxley seems to think he’s still wrestling for CZW and PWG instead of a big league club like WWE (yes I’m being fair and calling AEW and TNA big league something many asshole fans wouldn’t want to do) and instead of wrestling that mainstream safe style Moxley what’s as much barbed wire, sugar glass, light tubes, and “death matches” he can possibly get. Something he doesn’t have to do anymore. It’s to the point Moxley blades so much and so often he bleeds even in normal matches, the skin on his forehead is just so thin it just opens up from a gust a wind anymore. He says his back is bad and he has the arthritis of a 60 year old man but then in his next breath talks about rockey 3 and how much of a bad ass he is and demands exploding ring matches, and blood and guts matches (that’s their name for war games but with barb wire) and it’s just not worth it. There’s this term “diminishing returns” well Moxley bleeds and used weapons in matches so much now that when he does it people just go “and there goes sponge Bob ripping his pants again 😒” because we’ve seen it so much.
Maybe so, but he very easily could’ve asked for a regular match. The fans expected a no holds barred street fight yet all we got was a few kendo stick shots. It made the match underwhelming in comparison to the other No DQ matches in WWE. Moxley suggested crazy shit cuz he knows what fans want when they’re told they’re having a street fight.

The thing about this, the Randy Orton thing was a work, as said by Randy and Chris Jericho. As far as the conspiracy that Brock wasn’t supposed to beat Taker, they sure had that graphic up instantly that said 21-1 or however many wins Taker had.
I can guarantee if Brock Lesnar ever took "liberties" with the Undertaker, he would have never appeared on another WWE match. I don't care how tough Brock is, and he is a legit bad a$$, but Taker is in a different stratosphere when it comes to respect in the Pro wrestling industry.
@@theonlygoodonehere2259 it's not about Taker beating up anyone - it's about respect, and Mark Calloway is one of, if not the most respected man in the wrestling AND MMA industry. And by you going the "fake wrestling" route tells me everything I need to know. Ask Ronda Rousey, Tank Abbott, Dan Severn, Ken Shamrock, Paige VanZant, Cain Valazquez and even Brock Lesnar how fake wrestling really is. @@greyskywarren6028 funny part is, I never said it was fake, I said scripted, huge difference, fake means fake punches, scripted means, they follow a script to an article outcome, which is essentially what wwe has admitted to
Heyman uses historical examples from mostly pre-2016 to prove Lesnar isn't lazy, but the accusations of laziness were after that period where Lesnar matches became a series of German suplexes followed by an F5, which got stale and lazy.
And notice the other big difference-Brock didn't have other obligations penned in prior to those matches where he was preoccupied with getting hurt and losing a payday.
@@matthewrock4725 Then why is he a wrestler? The synonym of this monster with brute strength of yours in the wrestling dictionary is a lazy guy who's not willing to work. Mark Henry was much stronger than him and he never behaved like everybody owes him something. WWE is much better when he's gone.
I know they’re so used to someone kissing Deans ass that when someone has an honest opinion about Mox they get their feelings hurt cause it’s not what they wanted here Rather than just suck it up and move on they’ll let their emotions get out of hand
Heyman's creative interpretation of history continues. Austin went past previously agreed upon boundaries in that interview, exhibited a boomer mindset, and was a garbage interviewer. Brock Lesnar was lazy and gassed up, as evidenced by him pissing hot after the Hunt fight, which nearly got the UFC sued.
His an Indy wrestler at heart who works from the ground up It's nothing complicated. I'm still wondering why Vince keeps booking big hairy men who can't even wrestle?
Yeah, the fact that He keeps bringing up the Stone Cold podcast and goes on a rant about his other accomplishments as evidence that he wasn't being lazy is kinda proof to the opposite. His not being lazy at other times doesn't mean he wasn't lazy at that point and Dean's poor showing on the Broken Skulls podcast doesn't have anything to do with his showing at Brock's match. Before anyone says that I am biased I actually like Brock Lesnar and think he is a major draw and is a surprisingly good seller in a way that make his opponent look like a tough SOB without hurting his own credibility, look at his match with Daniel Bryan, for this he sells his kicks to his leg throughout the whole match even when he goes for the winning pin, when he wants to be and I love Paul Heyman, I consider him to be the best booker in wrestling history because of how many people he was able to make into credible world Champs that were stuck in the midcard at best in every other promotion they work under; Not to say anything of his mic skills which may be one the best in wrestling history. That being said they booked a street fight, and all we got was a few kendo stick shots, a few German suplexes, and an F5. They should've had Brock brutally destroy Dean and survive everything he threw at him until he eventually knocked him out with an F5. It would've made Dean into the toughest man in US wrestling since SCSA passed out in the sharpshooter and would've made Brock into an even more unhinged psycho who destroys anything in his way with any care or remorse.
-Wasn’t the story that Mox told the producers don’t ask me about my family. And first question they asked him about his fam and he just stood in silence. -Then Brock was training to fight Mark Hunt for $12mil and didn’t want to do shit in their match
Yes! But if everyone acknowledges this, then they can't fellate Paul Heyman and oh how good he is and how good Brock is. Paul is a businessman, never forget. If he was to manage Mox for the next 2-5 years, he would totally flip this story and start shitting on Brock in this story without skipping a beat. And everyone will eat it up.
Remember everyone, Heyman is a worker and will always flip things and make the guy he's friends with or working with on tv, look better. The truth is, Brock didn't wanna do anything Ambrose happily suggested to work with in their match. But hey, it's the cool thing to hate Mox now. So nvm. 😂

I love that Heyman said this. Everyone says Moxley is the ultimate professional and is willing do anything when he’s not perfect, he’s still a wrestler

Diverticulitis is no joke.. I almost died from it as well. Keep in mind mind was also one of the worst the ER docs had ever seen without specific issues coming into play.. They said regardless of those issues not coming into play they really believed that I would have been dead in anywhere from 30 min to a hour if I did not get in there for surgery when i did. Kind of makes me really regret toughing out that pain for as long as I did because of the amount of damage I suffered from it. Its caused a LOT of permanent damage to my body. The damn thing flares up every 6 months or so as well. Brock dodged a bullet there in more ways than one when he had it and got it taken care of almost right away.. For me I endured the pain for ever a week. ( 9 days to be specific ) Before I could not take it any more and had to go.. Though I think I kinda knew I was dying and that was part of the reason why I was willing to go to the ER. ( Keep in mind.. Each one of those days I had been throwing up blood, and it was getting worse, and worse basically. The throwing up part also came with its own damage that it did to my body. ) So .. Do not try to do what I did.. Go in asap when something goes wrong.

Austin and Mox patched things up a few years later. Both of them felt like it was a case of crossed wires.
But then Brock realized he was going to show up at UFC in the later week so he just went, "uh you know what, let's don't do that because I have a UFC match after this"
It's clearly WWE's fault.

What crap does Moxley do in AEW? I don’t watch the show so that’s why I’m asking

@@dextersynesterformerlysorb5334 you just hate mox and biased admit it lmao so obvious
I came here looking to watch a shoot interview and I got kayfabed bullshit.
Lord knows how he pulled Renee Young🤔
I could listen to heyman tell stories all day long hours on end. Can’t wait till he’s in the hall of fame. Greatest manager ever in my opinion
I love that Heyman said this. Everyone says Moxley is the ultimate professional and is willing do anything when he’s not perfect, he’s still a wrestler
Who says that? Jon Moxley refused to job to CM Punk unless he beat him in 2 minutes first. How much more unprofessional could a jerk be?
@@sandyunderpants4376 Cm Punk haters and Meltzer followers think that
its very hard for me to take Heyman seriously after everything he's done to people behind the scenes over the decades. Austin and Moxley have patched up after the podcast and Austin only has good things to say about him now.
Heyman is a goat. Respect the OGs fool
@@NYC_Goody yeah, I agree he is an old goat.
He makes Lesnar look so good and the man wasn't in the room.
@@kevinkevin2607 why you repeating the same shit over and over again
@@kevinkevin2607 moxley is an idiot he was expecting to have the same indy death barbed wire death match in czw he had in wwe with one of the biggest stars that have ever been in the business
Everyone expected that it would be a legendary street match, but the opposite happened. I thought it was going to be a WrestleMania war, but people still talk about this match, but the Brock Lesnar match in the UFC is no longer remembered.
Looking at it now makes perfect sense, Brock is still a professional while Moxley is a balding loser still pretending like garbage and bleeding is wrestling.
How much money does Heyman still owe his ecw wrestlers?
Then go watch what Steve Austin said then you’ll realize Paul heymen is speaking on something he knows nothing about🤷♂️
If ppl were listening.. Paul was staying in his kayfabe character... However he admitted in a way that Dean aka Jon moxley had to be the persona and do what he had to do because of Vince. And honestly, looking back at that interview - (I love Stone Cold) but he kinda made it awkward as well.
And people used to say Brock was the one with the attitude in this match! now we know better
Wasn't "Stone Cold" Steve Austin the one who walked out because he refused to put Brock Lesnar over?
He only walked out because they wanted him to put brock over with no buildup he had no problem putting brocks over but he wanted to build up to be done before it happend
@@leosnyder5264 I heard too that Austin didn't want to fight broke because Brock has been reckless in the ring in the past and Austin didn't want to reinjure his neck if Brock doesn't execute the F5 properly.
This aged well lmao
Funny thing is Austin apologised to Ambrose for the podcast because of miscommunication about what was off limits.
I like hearing Paul talk...
Can u imagine Paul arguing with his wife... Or Paul talking to a telemarketing person....
Paul Heyman oozes charisma. He could have been a successful Hollywood actor.
Heyman messing with my emotions with the taker streak to this very day
