Oh i miss Manila, been there for 2 months in 2014. Miss eating at Mang Inasal with free rice haha, Jolly Bee and walk around the street while eating meni (salty fried peanuts with chili). Btw, congrats to PNR Philippines for upgrade your trains Salamat Po! And thank you for trusting Indonesia as your partner. Hope after pandemic is over i will visit Manila again. 🇲🇨❤🇵🇭 forever.. 💐💐💐
I recognized the horn pattern in 0:51 .. in Indonesia that long-short-short horn pattern is used when a train is shunting and approaching a busy area.. it's a form of warning. And I heard that the test drivers team are Indonesian so that's neat! :D
I hope the railroad there will be repaired, it's useless to buy a new train but the rail is not good. in Indonesia the train speed is not slow like that. almost all the videos there the train runs slowly. greetings brother dr Indonesia. God bless Philippines
No need to upgrade the new railways' tracks "for now", the future plan is that the whole stretched of PNR line (which will be renamed North-South Commuter Railway) from Clark to Calamba will be an elevated one just like LRT... so if they will replace the tracks and after 5 years, they will still destroy it to replace a new elevated railway system..
They will replace it with elevated one. Thwy are building now firstly in north. Just type north to south railway of PNR. you will see the construction in progress.
Hello! since the line has multiple crossings and is at level, and the way drivers are driving in the Philippines, horns play an important role in the railway. They are used to warn the traffic as well as the passengers that a train is coming and prepare for its arrival at the station/crossing.
2:49 what's the DOT purpose for the locomotive so that their logo was stuck on it? Do you know? Anyway, cool video. Also nice to know about Philippine's railroad network. Keep it up👍👍

Yup it's still the same old horn haha. Yes it's only meant for commuter trains, as of now it's the only service offered by PNR, but they do have plans to operate freight services. Terimah kasih.
@Bolu Sarmento oh that makes sense. That' why no need to worry about that smoke, this is a brand new locomotive. And usually locomotives are more reliable when it comes to availabilty.

Kayaknya rute jalur PNR sekarang cuma 1.

Yes there is a gangway on both side of the locomotive for the engine crew to easily access the main engine and switch to the other cab.

it's too pricee to PNR 1 Kilometer can cost 800M ₱
I believe it's part of the plan to rehab the tracks while the NSRP is being constructed. So we have to wait for some more developments.

Don't worry it's still new, and it's a locomotive not a DMU. DHL is made to be tough and durable.
