  • bitterleaf soup is one native soup that can be made with different ingredients and several ways.however this video explains the use of palm fruit extract and cocoyam as thickner for this soup to leave a lasting unique taste.
    it can be served and eaten with any swallow of your choice...fufu,pounded yam,Eba, wheat or semovita.
    ingredients used
    *bitterleaf
    *palm.fruit
    *cocoyam
    *ogiri igbo
    *seasoning cubes
    *salt
    *fresh pepper
    *crayfish
    *dryfish
    *meat
    *stockfish head/flesh

    Lol the sticks in the leaves. I love bitter leave soup..so delicious n yours looks so yummy I can even taste the deliciousness through the screen..I m a nigerian leaving in the states, I usually get a couple of pack from the Nigerian store that is here owned by an Igbo woman..its always full of sticks and I hate it..I will take me an hr to remove the sticks from the leaves n by the time I'm done I will only hv a handful left . It looks so yummy I'm heading to store right now 4 this soup my sister..God bless o

      I made sure that the palm kernel(akwu) was well cooked then I pounded the palm kernel until its flesh came out of the nut then I poured water after giving it a good mix,I now use sieve to extract it out.
      If this explanation isn't clear enough...I will do.a video showing how it can be done please 🙏
