    On the KDA player thing, I also run into kinda the opposite problem.
    When you *know* for a fact that you're going to die, people still insist on continuing to run, instead of accepting your fate, and trying to make it at least a little useful, by doing as much damage to the enemy as you can before your inevitable death.
    This is something I've been flamed for multiple times. I'm not saying just accept your death in any scenario, if you have a chance of escaping, then sure go for it. But when that chance no longer exists, at least make the opponent pay as much as possible for the kill, rather than letting them have it for free.

      True, games often feel a lot worse than they are. Sometimes though even when people are trying comp diff + lead means you shouldn't waste your time imo. If you're far behind a scaling comp/snowballing comp, especially if they have a yuumi, even if they play poorly they control your side of the map and get every objective for free gold and exp starving you and theres no point. Especially if your supp is so bad they don't ward or clear vision whatsoever. Basically if the enemies win condition is easy to play out and they've met it, not worth, a fed zilean kled combo can never lose a fight however if I'm against a fed katarina and darius I'll never ff since they're pretty hard to carry on without throwing, so I know a comeback is always possible, vs a fed yi yuumi when my team has no hard cc - I'll pass and prolly should have dodged. Also you can tell how the enemy is playing if they'll let you comeback, sometimes people with leads start playing for fun but if they still play optimally then its doomed. I almost never ff too I just disagree that ffing is always bad unless inters/afks.

    Be nice to have a video specifically on techniques used for tracking. The minimap is the obvious tool, but I certainly struggle with tracking enemy jungle and when predicting. Part of this I think I spend to much time focused on what's going on in the main screen and not enough on the minimap (although getting better at that). Really need to develop a second eye for the minimap and timing it takes to path location to location.
    I've used the 6 second timer video a few times to help with that, but sometimes 6 seconds is an eternity in this game. So easy to miss something important in 6 seconds.

      don't focus on what the enemy jungler is doing but what they could do, since you'll never know for sure, and you'll eventually get a sense for which things are more likely than others. There's always an element of randomness so if they don't do what you predicted and you're thinking properly, it could be a mistake on their part so rejoice! Some things are champion specific, but you can also adapt to peoples in-game playstyles. For example, if fiddlesticks is level 4/5, you probably don't have to worry about a counter gank since he' be trying to get 6 from jg camps, and if your bot blew summoners to a gank its susceptible to a regank so its best to hover since the enemy jg wants to capitalize on that. For other champs like nunu/lee sin (gank focused), as soon as scuttles spawn they're looking for multiple ganks in river so if you're in one river you auto know they're in the other or a brush. People have to usually path the same way unless they spent a long time fighting (for their first 3 cycles), since if they run to the side of the map they just fought, no camps will be up. What really helped me track is having more confidence to invade and placing pinks on enemy buffs early, mostly if they have weak champs that can't contest the invade or jg showed other side. On some champs I place a pink in river brush lvl 1 just so I can track when they get to scuttle (best against champs who want to invade).
      Don't be afraid to tell your laners where to ward if you see they have a window! I regularly ask laners to check my camps for an invade if its possible and they have prio, really helps my tracking and pathing (a duo you can rely on never hurts here).
      TL;DR use information you have, increase it with vision, think of whats in the enemy jglers best interest (adapt to champ and player, takes practice), think in terms of possibilities not singular absolutes and dw if you're wrong. Best way to learn how enemy champs should play is to learn how to play them optimally yourself or do a bit of online research into countertips, I kept losing to evelynne steamrolling me mid game so I had to learn that you're supposed to dog her pre-6 and ward her camps to track post 6 off Reddit.

    Mental is the difference between a silver/gold player and a plat/diamond player for 75% of people in silver and gold.
    One of the most frustrating hardstuck mindsets of silver and gold players is a two sided problem.
    They have the mindset of “I died one time/my laner solos me one time, they have advantage, I can’t ever recover because they are ahead, I’m giving up gg” and the flip side of that is when they go up 1/0 or 2/0 after solo killing their laner, that same thought process of “1 kill games over” causes them to play like they can’t lose, make mistakes, and blow their leads. I see it all the time in my games and with my friends. If you think the game is over because you lost lane, you will have the same mindset when you win lane, and you will throw a lot of games where you are ahead, and you lose every game your behind, leading you to be hard stuck.

    I've heard the don't take inhibs too early tip a bunch of times, and let enemies take inhibs before 25 minutes before, and it never seems to go well.
    the main thing is your inhib point and your tempo point are in contention. that early in the game very few champions can shove super waves without staying in the same spot. you always get a man disadvantage on the map, leading to bad fights or them taking dragons and Barons. no Baron is not too hard to take with a numbers advantage, especially given how much healing a lot of champions have in their kits these days.
    I think the inhib tip is a high elo thing. yes you get more resources, but you lose tempo. and the champs that can clear super waves I feel like get played more high elo, like ryze, azir, casseopeia, even ap bruisers. when you have a split pusher like sion, trynd, yorick, fiora name it that gets fed and takes an inhib they run down every other lane taking towers while no one can stop them. if you can weather the storm until your inhib comes back and don't lose much else sure, but then the timing matters. if Baron and dragon are down already sure taking an inhib might be a bad idea, but oftentimes taking inhibs gives you pressure to spread your lead.
    The only time I think taking inhibs early is bad is if you realistically don't have that big a lead. if you barely won top and got a herald push while the enemy team fight for dragon its probably not good to take an inhib, both cause the objective is down and you aren't ahead enough to spread your lead yet. But in most games when letting your inhib die is an option? you just lose everything on the map and bleed as much gold as you get from the waves.

You’re saying how if they took the inhib, then you’re going to be stuck farming (this is assuming you’re the one that’s behind and not the other way around). Honestly, what are the odds that you’ll be able to stop the fed enemy top laner from making these plays if you weren’t stuck farming the super minions? Odds are, you’ll be sitting in someone’s lane while they don’t want you to be there. If they were fed enough to take the inhib before 25 minutes, you’re probably to weak to stop then even if you were there.

      @@mora11do Fed top laner (usually the one that takes the inhib) means you cant really contest baron rift or dragon 4v5, so those are free. Also If they are ahead they can go to the other side lane, and if no one could stop them top they cant stop them bot. Meanwhile your team plays 4v3 in mid, slowly chunking enemies and chipping away at tower. Alternatively they could take all the jungle with the numbers advantage, again reducing the gold youd get from the super wave.
      My point is also about the fact to clear a super wave you tend to need your strong waveclear champs to do it, specifically dps mages. ADCs don't have good waveclear that early, tanks and bruisers dont tend to clear it fast or healthily in my experience, so it's generally either your mid laner or specific champions in other roles. without your waveclear champ to contest the aram you dont defend towers, or at the very least you cant defend both mid and bot at the same time.
      So yes, I do think the champ that has to clear the super minions would be better elsewhere, because without them you generally can't stop pushes on your remaining towers.
      When youre in the position where youre behind and think losing an inhib would be good you have to consider if your team can actually hold under other towers in other lanes without numbers or their best waveclear champs. Often times I find most comps can't do it, and it only takes applying the right pressure with an early inhib down to win the game for the team that took it.

    • @abraxasalpha
      @abraxasalpha ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s the point, if you’re in a game where inhibit is up you already have to send someone to stop them from taking it. If you just let three push top and send 5 between mid and bot, you could get t1-t2 towers or baron/drag for one inhib

    bro, i can say this shit works, i m a bronze stuck, and using this mind set just saved a game. started something like 2vs8 followed by very bad score because jungler wasnt so good and bot lane lost and fed a jhin 7/0. i was akali mid 1/2 against ahiri, i won few fights but now i just ended winning so hard 23/6/8 and 46k damage, enemy jhin top damage with 48k, my mate second damage 38k. I can say i did very good plays but i m also sure that thinking about this video stuff made me gain important score. first time in my life i said GG after a game on league of legends.

    @sephrinx4958 ปีที่แล้ว

    I feel like a lot of this stuff is simple and relatively obvious in a lot of ways. The difficult part is actually being able to execute it and carrying an hinting team. Doesn't matter who you are you won't carry a game against a 7-0 Yorick top with a 7-0 khazix jungle when your mid is down 2 kills and 40 cs at 15 minutes. You could be the best player in the world but the chances of you being able to 1v9 are infinitesimally small, doing this consistency is impossible.

  • @finnmeldrum7264
    @finnmeldrum7264 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Here's what I think is messed up about league. I agree with you guys when you say "if you want to win consistently, you have to do the more boring things (freezing, playing around waves)," and I feel like that in it of itself showcases league of legends' biggest issue. It's literally been said; if you want to win, you don't get to have fun.

    • @HawkFX
      @HawkFX ปีที่แล้ว +2

      the only reason its not "fun" is because your not just running in and trying to kill the opponents all the time. league isnt an fps, if you want to win thinking more strategically is more likely help you instead of relying purely on mechanics.

    • @Mamppa20
      @Mamppa20 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's the same thing with every competive game. You can't just run around and hunt for kills. You have to play with good strategy and use your time to prepare for a winning fight.

    • @mora11do
      @mora11do ปีที่แล้ว +1

      And the most ironic part is that winning is the funnest part about league (most of the time at least). So in order to have fun by winning, you have to stop having fun by playing correctly

    The video is not practical.
    The majority of people I've played with in gold may not necessarily know how to use Baron but they always have someone on their team smurfing that recommends using Baron properly to close a game out. & Most of the time the team listens to the fed shot caller.
    Finding a team in gold that doesn't have someone smurfing is impossible nowadays.
    That situation hector found himself in happens more in silver. It's not easily reproducible in gold elo and you know what I say is true.
