That was the best clap back to Sophia I've ever heard lol! I also loved it when Rose clapped back at Blanche with that hypersexual bitch line! The writers were brilliant when it came to those one-liner burns and it was even better when it came from a character you didn't expect.
She got Sophia back for a season's worth of insults with that one.. The only creature uglier than Yoda is the Gorgon Medusa💯.. If ugly was a crime Yoda would get the electric chair..😵.. And, if ugly were a sin, Yoda would be hellbound😉💯😉🔥🔥..... Blanche got in for that one..

She burns like alcohol flame. Its hot but invisible.
It's the wildly varied inflections in her voice, too. If you listen carefully, she always makes the most of every word of dialogue unlike some other actors who speak so flatly.

The whole show was great and , it had amazing writers and gifted actresses who brought to life to these awesome characters. Today it's hard to find a show with such a high level
I often say that this was probably THE funniest sitcom ever!!! How can one continue to laugh at the same episodes I've seen so many times !! THE BEST!!

Impossible, not just hard! There was never one like it before, during and after. How many people not only watch a show daily for over 35 years, but still laugh every time! They've been with me through good times and troubles times.

The writing was A++, combined with four fantastic actresses equaled this superior TV show I never get tired of seeing. I am sad realizing all these ladies have passed on. Their legacy lives.

I actually used one of Blanche’s lines once! I was around my friends waiting to hear back from a job offer and I said “I’m as jumpy as a virgin at a prison rodeo!”
Half of my friends laughed until they cried! The other half were too shocked to say anything!
Yeah I used one of Blanche's lines to I told an old co-worker to eat dirt and die trash!

That show was a classic, all four of them were so very funny.

She is the best. I think mainly because Estelle played her so well and delivered all her lines so perfectly.

Rose was always my childhood favourite, I always wanted her as a gran, she was so adorable but had a waspish streak coupled with innocence and lovely fluffy hair. Dorothy next, she's insanely attractive and fascinating. Such a great, sharp, adorable and zippy series, never grows old.
1: You cut Sophia off before she could say "I can't even reach mine!" after Rose says she's not one to blow her own vertubenflugen.
2: "I am stunned. Just stunned. Stunned is the only to describe how... stunned I am!"
3: "If the Egyptians built the pyramids, we can move this toilet." "Fine; get me 20,000 Hebrews, and I'll have it out of here in no time."

O I just love the golden girls. In the summer, my Mother and her friends used to sit outside in the sun, but when the Golden Girls were on, they all went inside to watch them and just laugh. Great memories!
