Seriously had some talent. Sitcoms can be stale as hell sometimes. I wasn’t even born yet when this show aired, and never have been a fan of older television comedies I always thought they were too outdated and unfunny but this series…..❤ the dialogue and delivery by these four. It’s iconic. Bea was always my favorite
My favorite zinger from Dorothy is when Blanche walks in upset and say's "I've never been so embarrassed in my life." Then Dorothy responded with, "What about that time you lost the keys to your handcuffs and you had to go with that guy on his mail route." 🤣😂 That one does it every time for me..
Dorothy was my favorite. Bea Arthur had perfect comic timing (not even if you were hanging upside down on a trapeze :D). Her facial expressions said it all. Rest in Peace to all of these lovely Golden Girls.
Rue, Bea, Betty and Estelle made me look forward to the weekends with my grandparents. My mum and dad had an unbelievably violent relationship, but Friday nights I escaped the chaos to sleep at my grandparents where I'd watch the Golden Girls every weekend. Whenever I see re-runs it always takes me to a happy place, and for that I'll always be grateful to these 4 amazing ladies and the best grandparents I could every have wished for.
“How did she die?” “You know we’re not sure. One night, she left in her wheelchair and never came back. The next day, the neighborhood kids had a go-cart, with two really big back wheels.” Gets me every time lol
I love her character. She's intelligent, brilliantly sardonic, lovingly witty and a strong moral force for her sisters. I think it's sheer genius of the writers to create idiosyncratic characters that have their individual charm and yet do not obscure one another.
The way Dorothy gives her look and burns them with her savagery is unmatched. Blanche just laughs and keeps going about her business 😂 Dorothy, queen of savage
Truly talented. I love how they all made fun of her looks and never having a lot of dates, but she was the one to get married in the end. She got the last laugh. Perfect ending imo.
I’m a 32 year black male American 🇺🇸. Born in 1991. Me and my brothers (who were ball players and hip hop) urban kids loved this show! It would come on late on Nick @Night. We would watch everything else and stay up for that. My parents would be like they like that too?! 🎉😂 🤍
Her expression and tone at 9:26 kills me each and every time and the little sigh before she says "at least I'm not bitter" Bea Arthur's timing and delivery was always so spot on
I always loved Dorothy's deadpan looks. And Sofia just felt like she knew she was old enough to have earned the right say anything and get away with it! They all def had their distinct personalities and were all lovable.
Dorothy is my hero. She always had the intelligent, savage response. You knew they were family because you can only say such things to family and, yet, still love each other, fight for each other and always be there for one another. Miss them all. Thank you for being a friend.
The Golden Girls aired in 1985 through 1992. It's been 38 years since the first show. One of the best comedies of all time. Dorothy is my favorite character. Her zingers are hilarious ! She actually became prettier as the years went by, I think she's the prettiest of them. So funny when she would say something nice to Stan, and then slam the door in his face !
She was always my favorite her delivery on these lines were what made this show so iconic. It’s a shame that her Betty didn’t get along as much. I always felt they had the best presence on the show
I was born in the 70s, so this show is a staple in my childhood . So many nights I would fall asleep watching my girls. I loved this show and still do 💜
When I was young I never got why my parents laughed so much. The jokes went over my head. Glad as an adult I revisited it. Dorothy is actually my favorite. 😂😂 “my rear tire has less pressure”
Can’t believe they forgot to add the time when Dorothy and Stan go see a therapist bc he can’t get over her and the therapist says “ Stan, why would you want to be with a woman who so clearly doesn’t want to be with you?” And Dorothy says “ I think I can answer that doctor, there’s no other kind” 😭😭😭 it’s one of my favorite Dorothy lines of all time.
One of my favorite Bea lines was when she appeared on “All in the family” as Maude. Maude says to Archie, “You can either come to the table and eat, or you can lie there and feed off your own fat”😄
Yes! That was her best look. Also the hair. Much more natural and charming than the perm she had in the first scene here. I also agree about 11:11. To tall Dorothy, the dress with the horizontal folds was flattering, to curvy Blanche, not so much.
How does this show have me cracking up over 30 years after its release? It's so timeless and the episodes and jokes never get old. Please keep betty safe and guard her.
I watched this show when I was in middle school. It still makes me laugh. The chemistry between all four women is undeniable. The one-liners make me laugh every time. Bea Arthur could deliver a line with just her eyes and face. Estelle Getty had the cruelest lines but got away with it like no other. This is a great show.
I don't think even the creators knew how timeless The Golden Girls would be, but Rue knew it all along. She was able to convince Bea to do the show, and the rest is comedic history.
I love how they were all so savage on this show. Dorothy was savage in a calculated way. Blanche was savage on impulse. Rose was accidentally and unknowingly savage. And Sophia just had no filter at all.

@@willyboy6126 try telling that to Mama Thelma Harper.
@@christianparrish6647 Mama is not even close-
@@Hithere-ek4qt but she was first before golden girls, I think.
must be born this way. or have great writers and comic timing!
"Their daughter was a bull-duck who ran a small tattoo parlor in Carmel" has to be one of the best lines in Golden Girls.
That line was Dorothy's admission that she actually likes Rose's stories.
@@heddaleeshe actually pays attention even though she makes fun of rose
One of my favorite moments
The writers of this show had incredible talent!
Hello Sophia
How are you doing today?
Seriously had some talent. Sitcoms can be stale as hell sometimes. I wasn’t even born yet when this show aired, and never have been a fan of older television comedies I always thought they were too outdated and unfunny but this series…..❤ the dialogue and delivery by these four. It’s iconic. Bea was always my favorite
Incredible writing & amazing delivery on screen
"I tried ..it didin't work" , these ladies where comedy geniuses. 😂😂😂
I don't remember that episode
Yeah that was funny….. because you can imagine it! Lol
@@trudylonetto1965 is called “Miles to Go” S6 Ep15
Omg hahahahah
I have used that line of sorts on my best friend
There will NEVER be another show like this.. These ladies were the perfect combination to bring this director's vision to life..
Genius casting
Oh yes! They don't make 'em like they used to! Nothing else will ever come close. Perfection can never be improved upon.😁
Dorothy: "She is the EASIEST woman in this room"
Blanche: "Dorothy Zbornak, you take that back!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
"The slut is dead, long live the slut."
“The slut is dead, long lives the slut”
One of my favorite episodes!!! 🤣🤣🤣
@@Essence0 I agree with you on that.
The slut is dead, long live THE slut!
Rose: "I have a thought."
Everyone: "CONGRATULATIONS!!" 🥳
Rose was considered the dumb one of the group. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
Lmao 🤣😂🤣😊
Dorothy was my favorite. Bea Arthur had perfect comic timing (not even if you were hanging upside down on a trapeze :D). Her facial expressions said it all. Rest in Peace to all of these lovely Golden Girls.
They were all perfect but Dorothy's facial expressions and smart aleck comebacks were the best.
Rue, Bea, Betty and Estelle made me look forward to the weekends with my grandparents.
My mum and dad had an unbelievably violent relationship, but Friday nights I escaped the chaos to sleep at my grandparents where I'd watch the Golden Girls every weekend.
Whenever I see re-runs it always takes me to a happy place, and for that I'll always be grateful to these 4 amazing ladies and the best grandparents I could every have wished for.
your grandparents should adopt you while your parents get counselling
Great memories of great grandparents, and the golden girls.
THIS!!! I have the exact same childhood attachment to this show, every time I watch it now I feel like my grandma is with me :))
I’m so sorry your parents were awful, but at least you had some amazing grandparents.
❤
"the horse's eyes are crossed" sent me into the stratosphere 🤣🤣
“How did she die?” “You know we’re not sure. One night, she left in her wheelchair and never came back. The next day, the neighborhood kids had a go-cart, with two really big back wheels.” Gets me every time lol
Rose's face tho had me dead🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Completely went over my head. What’s the implication here? The neighborhood kids took her out?
I almost spit out my pepsi when Dorothy told that story!
@@a-lydschannel7221 me neither tbh
You can’t be serious that you don’t get that?!?
I love her character. She's intelligent, brilliantly sardonic, lovingly witty and a strong moral force for her sisters. I think it's sheer genius of the writers to create idiosyncratic characters that have their individual charm and yet do not obscure one another.
When it comes to being savage, or even going straight out gangster, Dorothy is the QUEEN!!!
Hello there!! Happy Sunday
Her "Go hug a landmine!" To Stan is my favourite that was fucking savage 🤣🤣
Blanche: "Well, why don't I do that since I have the most experience performing here."
Dorothy: "Blanche, the parking lot doesn't count, I'll do it" 😂
such an underrated comment
😂😂😂
Best comeback ever! 😂🤣
By far my favourite. Savage!
Some of these one liners were classic... and funny!
I love how her stare gives her the energy that she’s about to set you on fire with just her eyes
And then she does, but with words.
The way Dorothy gives her look and burns them with her savagery is unmatched. Blanche just laughs and keeps going about her business 😂 Dorothy, queen of savage
Dorothy’s facial expressions are enough to kill me 🤣 but her comebacks are awesome 👏🏼 😆
Truly talented. I love how they all made fun of her looks and never having a lot of dates, but she was the one to get married in the end. She got the last laugh. Perfect ending imo.
She was the queen of facial expressions😊😊
Dorothy: "No problem, sweetheart. "
Stan: "Hurry back, dumpling. "
Dorothy: "My feet have wings, barf bag."
Rest in Peace, Bea Arthur.
And thank you for being a friend.
I’m a 32 year black male American 🇺🇸. Born in 1991. Me and my brothers (who were ball players and hip hop) urban kids loved this show! It would come on late on Nick @Night. We would watch everything else and stay up for that. My parents would be like they like that too?! 🎉😂 🤍
I've seen all these episodes a million times and I'm STILL in tears from laughing! 😂😂😂 Bea Arthur was legendary!
Hello👋, how are you doing?
me too. they never get old
I always loved Bea Arthur. She may not have written the lines, but her comic timing was PERFECT!
Her expression and tone at 9:26 kills me each and every time and the little sigh before she says "at least I'm not bitter" Bea Arthur's timing and delivery was always so spot on
And one can relate so well to her... (In my case, it only was 2 years...)
What’s the name of the episode?
I always loved Dorothy's deadpan looks. And Sofia just felt like she knew she was old enough to have earned the right say anything and get away with it! They all def had their distinct personalities and were all lovable.
Them congratulating Rose after she says she had a thought made me laugh too hard
Mee too

Hello Paige 👋, how are you doing?
3:13 "Not even if you were hanging upside-down on a trapeze!" 🤣🤣🤣
The face of a woman who has just had enough
What an ICON she was (they ALL were). I still binge Golden Girls and it never (and will never) get old!
When Rose says 56 boyfriends I know one of my favorite scenes is coming.
Hello
"The slut is dead, long live the slut!"
Exactly
Still gets me every time. "... she is the grand poobah of sluts. The slut is dead, long live the slut"! I love it.
The savagery is real with this one. 😆
Lol
Dorothy is my hero. She always had the intelligent, savage response. You knew they were family because you can only say such things to family and, yet, still love each other, fight for each other and always be there for one another. Miss them all. Thank you for being a friend.
Hello Carolyn
How are you doing today?
The Golden Girls aired in 1985 through 1992. It's been 38 years since the first show. One of the best comedies of all time. Dorothy is my favorite character. Her zingers are hilarious ! She actually became prettier as the years went by, I think she's the prettiest of them. So funny when she would say something nice to Stan, and then slam the door in his face !
38 years?!!!!!
Seems like yesterday 😘👏😘👏😘👏😘
She was always my favorite her delivery on these lines were what made this show so iconic. It’s a shame that her Betty didn’t get along as much. I always felt they had the best presence on the show
"I lost it Dorthy" "you never had it Stanley"
The writers of this show were pure GENIUS! Love "the Golden Girls".
Yes they were
The writers were genius, and the actresses brilliantly delivered
All the characters had funny dialogue and they pulled it off perfectly.
I was born in the 70s, so this show is a staple in my childhood . So many nights I would fall asleep watching my girls. I loved this show and still do 💜
“I have a date to play this morning”
“With a man?”
“No, with a Venus fly trap”
I love Dorothy’s delivery of that line 🤣
Lmao!
That was my favorite line 😂
Blanche's line is such a great set up for Dorothy's. It's equal parts surprise and lust.
I cared for my mother for 10 years and we watched this every day and laughed so much together. Golden Girls never gets old.
Is your mom still with us?
When I was young I never got why my parents laughed so much. The jokes went over my head. Glad as an adult I revisited it. Dorothy is actually my favorite. 😂😂 “my rear tire has less pressure”
When Dorothy pauses and looks towards the camera, you already knowwwww she about to be shady😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂I freaking love her!!!
''Blanche, the horse's eyes are crossed'' LMAO
I died!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
So darn funny! 🤣
Straight up belly laughed with that one.
😂😂😂😂
Oh my Goooood! I'm in tears 😂😂
😆
Dorothy: Go hug a landmine.
😄😄 that's a great one!
😂
LMAO 🤣
RIP to miss betty white. all of the girls are finally together again
The entire group was so good at delivering the lines, comedy gold!
I loved Bea Arthur in both "Maude" and "Golden Girls". She was a comedic genius!
One of my favorite Bea lines was when she appeared on “All in the family” as Maude. Maude says to Archie, “You can either come to the table and eat, or you can lie there and feed off your own fat”😄
I first saw her as Maude. 😊 I was so delighted to see she was in this show. ♥️
@@robertlefave1273 loved that line
In all in the family
This cast + the writing = PERFECTION!!!
It's sad that three of the golden girls have passed away. From Ms. Harper Stacey.
11:11 - I always thought the dress looked WAY better on Dorothy. Her height really made it work
And her outfit at 13:03 was flawless.
Yes! That was her best look. Also the hair. Much more natural and charming than the perm she had in the first scene here.
I also agree about 11:11. To tall Dorothy, the dress with the horizontal folds was flattering, to curvy Blanche, not so much.
Right! I always thought she filled out the dress better lol
Don’t panic! Pick up a third for Rose and you can all go as The Pointer Sisters 🤣💀
Yes!!
I loved all of Dorothy's outfits. She had the drip
"it must be decaf" is a briiiiiiiiiiiilliant punchline.
I love when Blanche just laughs off Dorothy and Sophia's burns sometimes. She has such a good sense of humor and confidence.
Now they can be golden girls in heaven. Rest in peace Betty White
How does this show have me cracking up over 30 years after its release? It's so timeless and the episodes and jokes never get old. Please keep betty safe and guard her.
Well this aged horribly 💀😭
Bad news.......
"your husband is here " I dont have a husband call the police" "your ex husband" " ILL call the police" always has me laughing
Agreed
Dorothy defined passive aggression. And I am here for it.
I watched the entry White bloopers & the shows would have been funnier I they were left in! 😂
I don't think even the creators knew how timeless The Golden Girls would be, but Rue knew it all along. She was able to convince Bea to do the show, and the rest is comedic history.
Bea Arthur’s timing and delivery were impeccable.
