Sometimes his videos are serious and he shows you how to do things. And sometimes its just a manifestation of his childhood. He didnt explain the effects used in the rooms.
Wowers It just blows my mind how you just teach really structured producing methods that easy and logical You just understand what its all about and how to achieve it All in like 5 min or so Your a huge inspiration dude keep on Greets from Switzerland ma dude
I learn more from your 6 minute videos talking about sending Uncle Joe and small boys into a basement than I would spending hours sifting through TH-cam tutorials
wow, this was extremely helpful, youtube recommended this video to me as i'm in the middle of mixing a song and i followed your advice and man, my shitsong sounds suddenly so much better, thank you so much
Anyone else get a Mike Judge vibe from this guy? Particularly office space lol. If he mentions “pieces of flair” in the next video I’m gonna lose my shit 😂😂😂
It’s been answered that ur A & B sends are different verbs. But can u tell us what reverb (or settings if using the stock Ableton verb) you’re using on B (Smallboy)? Sounds really smooth.
Hey undergelly I got a question for you: What made you decide to expel all this effort into helping other producers out (making these tutorials), instead of focusing that effort more directly on increasing your recognition as an artist in the industry?
Without seeing exact chains on sends A and B it's a bit pointless tutorial... What I assume is that A and B have reverbs with different stereo wideness. Or are there any additional fx?
Dear Underbelly, Uncle Joe is keeping too many cpu-heavy sausages in the house again. The whole family keeps getting fat and slow and now Derek sometimes can't run anymore. Do you have any extra tips on how I might go about dieting Derek more efficiently so that he can one day run bigger tracks in P.E.? Thanks so much.
Didn't you say in one of your earlier videos that duplicating a track and then panning one of them to the left and the other one to the right is pointless, because it's the same as having it centered? Isn't that what you're doing to some tracks in this video?
You can see just by looking at the waveforms that they aren't identical. Likely they are processed differently or slightly time shifted from one another. If you do that and then hard pan left and right you end up with stereo seperation because the elements aren't perfectly in phase with each other.
They are panned because they are mono and are different clips. So two together create a stereo effect (because you hear stereo as a difference between left and right channel)
When the track is too dope to concentrate on the tutorial
Wowzers

@@AfterHoursShow I believe he just renamed the defaults.
420 LIKES YESSSSS
Not only I learn about producing, but I also learn about life and my own toxic social behavior.
I hope Smallboy is ok, i'm concerned.

At least uncle joe and smallboy are having a great time in the basement
I learn more from your 6 minute videos talking about sending Uncle Joe and small boys into a basement than I would spending hours sifting through TH-cam tutorials
Very nice way of explaining things with the house, basement , outside etc. Thank you
IS THERE A WAY TO LISTEN TO THE WHOLE THING? IT'S 🔥.
You made uncle joe a very happy man
I genuinely appreciate your work man ♡ You are the best! I am recommending your channel to my friends.
as silly as your videos are, I always manage to learn at least one new thing whenever I watch them. thanks Underbelly.
This is the first time I saw one of these tutorials....Jesus I laugh hard and I've learned a lot. This is the way
he so good at teaching - after all this time, I never thought of things like this..
I just wanted to say that this is a fenomenal channell.
I just threw everyone out the house and had a beer. Great tutorial man!! Keeping it simple and clear.
When he dropped the tempo down to 87 I was sent into another dimension
beat was wowzertastic
wow, this was extremely helpful, youtube recommended this video to me as i'm in the middle of mixing a song and i followed your advice and man, my shitsong sounds suddenly so much better, thank you so much
at 1:40sec did he duplicate the bus and pan them left and right? i dont get that part
Please dude, upload a full length version of that beat!
Can you make a video on organizing your ableton library? tips for folder management, and general info on making your library workflow conducive?
Anyone else get a Mike Judge vibe from this guy? Particularly office space lol. If he mentions “pieces of flair” in the next video I’m gonna lose my shit 😂😂😂

i've achieved way more recognition doing this than being an artist. But hey, album coming soon!
YAAAAAAY I'll buy the album 394 times
Probably was tired of hearing shit songs.
I would assume organic karma for showing fellow musicians the way of the Phallus aka using humor to remember! Thank you Underbelly your too dank dude
You never fail to amaze me
i actually started to vibe out entirely & forget i was supposed to be learning that space was crazy
omg I was looking for a tutorial for this thank you babe I love you
*_-wowzers but where can i listen to this song please tell me now-_*
Wowzers for life.
Thumbnail is genius
Without seeing exact chains on sends A and B it's a bit pointless tutorial... What I assume is that A and B have reverbs with different stereo wideness. Or are there any additional fx?
they're just different reverbs. that's all
You Suck at Producing with different settings?
ah thanks, just asked that lol
@@ryantakach1478 considering one is called living room and the other basement, I'd assume so.
Literally the reverbs are called Livingroom and Basement. Those are stock reverbs in Ableton.
Where do I actually get to listen to this whole track?!
Genious, Simple and Awsome Guide!! ❤
Wowzers! Are you gonna release that song?
Thank you so much for doing what you do in the way you do it
That stupid grin at the end of what you say always has me dying!
wowo, this beat is insane, love it!
Oh man, when you talked about Uncle Joe and the Small Boy in the basement...
But it's a good video. Very informative.
Have you released that track?? The vibe is really great, would love to listen to full version
From where did you takes the samples involved in this project
^^
^^
Such a banging track
I hear uncle Joe is still in the basement having a good time. I don't think the boy can say the same.
I’m only a minute in and I already love this guy😂
What did you put on the return tracks to make it sound that good?
I'm all about this episode.
I absolutely love your videos
Wowzers
This is just too good.
*WOWZERS*
Informative and hilarious. Subscribed.
Damn..addicted! Wonderful tip
underbelly u kickass! funny as hell and video is really helpful
Are the send tracks 2 different reverbs / delays with different settings?
I really need this tutorial's samples...or just upload this beat already
Thanks for the feat.
¡Great tutorials!
Dear Underbelly,
Uncle Joe is keeping too many cpu-heavy sausages in the house again. The whole family keeps getting fat and slow and now Derek sometimes can't run anymore. Do you have any extra tips on how I might go about dieting Derek more efficiently so that he can one day run bigger tracks in P.E.?
Thanks so much.
freeze tracks to free up sausage space
Or resample midi progressions, samples take up waaay less processing power than virtual instruments!
what instrument is that 1:28 (Marlon)?
Jesus Christ he's actually such a good producer/songwriter.
It's a shit song tbh
Would grouping the channels that were panned hard left and right be the same thing as sending them to another track or “in one room” ???🤔
I like the idea of space
Yooo this is informative and funny as hell at the same damn time..
i hate that i love you, you are soooo fin to watch and i learn so much haha
So are the living room and basement just different room reverbs?
Yesterday I started at #8 then restarted at #1. I came for the knowledge but stayed at the memes. Here I am now.
Is this song out?? after you slowed it down it just made the track!
Releeeeaase this
this is great
oh yes, oh yes, good one this is.
Love you creativity you have me ded 100 percent of the time god
That instro is crazy
Didn't you say in one of your earlier videos that duplicating a track and then panning one of them to the left and the other one to the right is pointless, because it's the same as having it centered? Isn't that what you're doing to some tracks in this video?
move one of them out of phase and it adds space
You can see just by looking at the waveforms that they aren't identical. Likely they are processed differently or slightly time shifted from one another. If you do that and then hard pan left and right you end up with stereo seperation because the elements aren't perfectly in phase with each other.
They are panned because they are mono and are different clips. So two together create a stereo effect (because you hear stereo as a difference between left and right channel)
hypnautica is correct, they are different recordings
You Suck at Producing you mean like binaural sounds ?
Haha I your choice of words and symbolism is fantastic lol
i love this smile))))
I think I heard this track in a couple of youtube vids. Where can I find it?
Really good tutorial for creating space. Also youre goofy wowzers lol thanks!
I'm always confused if panning like this creates too large of a stero feild.
if you do a mono check and try on multiple speakers you should be fine
Omg the originality!!! hahaha ❤
I get the feeling that Uncle Joe's levels are going to be pumping way too hot in the basement.
it would be cool to know what effects are on the living room and basement
What exactly is he doing at 1:40? Aren't those fader knobs? I come from FL Studio not Ableton :(
so it is a matter of mixing and putting different equalizers and compressors on different children?
0:53
yo btw what app do u use?
Ableton
You sure do entertain me uncle Joe
amazing! 0 to 100 thanks so much
how did you set up that "basement", what did you do or add the your send track to get "smallboy" and "Uncle Joe" to sound like such.
So you’re sending these tracks to other buses to give space and depth but what’s on those buses that’s achieving said space and depth?
I think the buses had different panning settings. One maybe more left and the other more right
And on those buses are different reverb settings. These two things combined help create beneficial space
this is funny and perfect
Came for the tutorial, stayed for the jokes
this was so funny i forgot what im learning here :D
holy fuck how did you get that top line synth
I literally loose my shit watching these videos. So fucking funny.
What do the different rooms represent? are those reverb effects....?
wowzers
Today I took my first shit, musicwise. Thanks for your tutorials dude :) me and my Modular like them
Man, have you finished the song? Its dope. Iam sure people would like to listen to it
I don't understand how sending tracks to aux channels makes the mix less messy? Could someone explain?
The small boy in the basement......🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔lol
