I'd like to add that the 1C after the recent firmware updates, it has zoned map. It automatically divides sections in the house to different colours on the map.

Тут просто нужно выбрать, что нужнее 2 щетки или уборка по зонам.
Я купил G1, долго искал есть ли уборка по зонам, видимо ее нет. Но в C1 1 щетка меня смущает.

Там не только уборка по зонам, но так же есть виртуальные стены, запоминание карты дома (в G1 она каждый раз рисуется с нуля), камера на крышке (ориентируется робот намного лучше).

It also clarified my biggest question - the Xiaomi support didn't helped. I own both models (the C1 was first) and I've been trying everything to make the G1 remember the map, activate the option with the virtual walls, not knowing that it doesn't have this option. It is not broken.

My advice, to weight the dust/particles collected, simply put the storage tank on the electronic scale instead of pouring the dust into plastic. Transferring the dust / particles may have spills causing inaccurate results. Other than that, great video 👍🏻

Thank you! I haven't experienced any issues with G1 water tank leaking. The 1C received an update recently and can recognize and clean selected rooms. If you don't need this feature, the G1 should suit your needs.

Hi there, thank you. It depends. For bigger homes with a complex layout, I would go for a Lidar-based one like the Roborock S5 Max. As to vacuuming performance, they are equally the same with the Mo Pro being slightly worse but much better at mopping. The mopping design of the S5 Max is better than the Xiaomi's ones too.
Besides, the 1C has a small battery, it hardly covers my 70 sq m place (about 50 sq m of the cleaning area) on Max mode so only for studio apartments.
So in short yes, I would pay more for a Roborock or Mop P depending on what you are looking for in a robot vacuum

Then best offer Mi Mop Pro comparing benefits and price and my situation? i dont really want to pay more than 214€ as its still just vacuum cleaning and maybe using Mop for me. So if vacuum cleaning is already good and mopping is ok, then its enough for me.
@@Schmazuro Well, if you don't have carpets all of these would be totally fine for your place. The Roborock does not leak and has a water-proof mat so more convenient to use but the Mop P is also ok if you don't have a base on a floor that might be damaged by the leaking water tank.
The vacuuming performance of the Mop P on hard floors are just fine so if you don't want to pay more, maybe go for this one. The 1C is good as a vacuum but the Mop P is better as a mop. There is a Xiaomi 2C has been released, very similar to the 1C but has a bigger battery.

But the vacuum robot should of course not really leak... is is a problem while it is in the charging station or it happens only while its cleaning?
I actually had both. But got rid of the G1, was not accurate in the mapping, neither returning to the dock as it took ages. The 1C is by far much better
In big homes with lots of furniture the 1C would be better :)

Great video and comparison between the two robots I have the G1 I bought that one because it is very good with cat hair and I have two cats one is a rag doll and they are inside cats my whole house is tiled except for my 4 bedrooms which are carpeted I like how the G1 picks up in suction the minute it goes into the carpet areas in my bedroom. The battery lasts just long enough to do all the tiled areas and my own bedroom with carpet then into the tiled ensuite bathroom then it goes back to the charging dock it won’t do the other 3 carpeted bedrooms but those doors are always closed and if I need to do them I’ll take it into the room and close the door till it does them. I think these machines are one of the best pieces of technology ever made I am surprised every day when I empty it how much cat hair actually falls onto the floor that you can’t see even though the floor looks clean definitely the best money I ever spent it cost me $319.00 Australian dollars I’m probably going to get another one to lessen the load I haven’t tried the mopping yet so looking forward to that thanks again for one of the best reviews cheers 🍻👍

G1 is nice if you want to do carpet cleaning on one day, and mopping on another day. Doing both at same day will require to run the device on the entire house twice (since you can't mop while carpets are on).
With C1, you can select carpet areas in the map to use high suction on, and when it finishes these areas - then let it mop the entire house. More efficient than G1 if you want to do both at same day.
The detachable side tips are sooo good on G1. I have long hair, it gets stuck to the sides on the C1 every time and it is just impossible to remove the hair from there. I gave up, there is just hair on both sides and the only thing I can do is to accept it.
Xiaomi vacuum lineup is soo weird. There are things on G1 that are better than C1, and there are things on C1 that are better than the pro module.
But in overall im very happy with the C1 (I found zoned cleaning and virtual walls to be very handy to use).
Agree, the G1 has some features the others do not such as carpet identification and side tips removal. I, too, prefer removable side tips. It takes more time to get rid of hair on the edges. That solid brush in the 1C is soo frustrating. But other than that, I find the 1C to be a very good robot, especially for the price. Cleaning performance on par with most expensive robots, the map is more or less accurate, navigation is good too :)

@@elinak4469 Most robots keep it at a distance of about 2 cm from the wall. I personally never had issues with the robots not going tightly close to the wall.

Hi. Great video. I went for the G1 since its half the price than 1C here in Mexico but Im close to regret since its kind of dumb mapping a small 70 m2 department. Sometimes it gets stuck just in front of a furniture legs. Some other times it goes like a headless chicken, passing two or three times by the same space and never going to others. Also it says in the handbook there is an option to send it to a specific spot but I havent found it at the app.
Hi Jose, the G1 mapping is not as advanced as the 1C indeed which you can see in the video. It might mess the map so it thinks it didn't clean a specific spot when in reality it did. As to sending the robo to a specific spot I think it means you can manually send it via a remote control feature. Since the G1 does not save a map, it doesn't know where you want it to send so only by using the remote control I believe.

I have a first generation vacuum cleaner. Today I "upgraded" to the vacuum-mop essentials thinking it would have the same features but alas it misses the zoned cleanup and the remote controls are a joke compared. I also used to use the magnetic tape virtual wall but the new one completely ignores them. I miss my vacuum cleaner :/
Do you mean you have had the Xiaomi Mi Robot with Lidar before? Then yeah, it's a downgrade, at least in terms of navigation and smart features.
@@SmartRobotReviews yes I think so. That very first one with a hump on top with the spinning laser. It started to simply shut off mid clean after 5 minutes. Nothing would wake it up besides putting it back to the docking station, and then same thing happens on the next clean up.

What’s is the difference between having 1 brush vs 2 brush ? Thanks
I prefer robots with one side brush. Cheaper replacement as you need only one brush and they scatter debris less than robots with two brushes. The main purpose of side brushes is cleaning corners and along the walls, and one brush doing as good job as two brushes considering that robots with smart navigation go only in one direction near walls and corners. That's why even most expensive robots may have only one side brush.

Great review! I have 1C over a year now, its a great robot. Now I would like to buy another one and was thinking about the 1G. The 1G does look more suffisticated and cleverly made, but is it worth to save 25% of pricew over the 1C considering its better navigation
Thanks! I don't know, the G1 is a good robot vacuum for the price, it's cheap and performs good. It is not as precise as the 1C in terms of navigation. I would say if your layout is clean, go for the 1G. Besides, in this scenario you'd be able to compare the two
If you didn't need the mapping options, G1 is a perfect choose. I have one, and it's working well... If I don't want it to go somewhere, I'm simply close the doors room... :)

Fantastic comparison! I feel like the G1 mopping system is better because you can leave the water in without worry. With the C1, you always have to attach and remove the mop as it doesn't have a pump. Am I right?
Thank you! The 1C has an electric water pump too, there is a small electric motor inside the water tank, while in the G1 the motor is located inside the robot. Not sure if it is better to have the water pump inside the robot or inside the water tank.

My 1c doesn't save the map accurately, it performs well until next to the end of cleaning, then it just merges all as if it were just one big room, with no walls. Beside of that, it's a good cleaning robot.
Might be carpeted surface where the robot messes up the map. The wheels spin a bit too fast on something which leads to merging the map. Happened with me on cluttered areas. You can try to change the docking station location so when the robot returns to the dock, it doesn't go over that area... Or track the place the robot messes up the map so you know what caused that.

I'm glad you like the review! Unfortunately, this model doesn't support no-go zones so there is no way to restrict it from going on carpets, so it will go on the carpet and make it wet.

However, right on first use, the wife forgot to close the bathroom door after taking shower, so it sucked up a bit of water on the wet floor. I drained most of the water I could see and let everything dry for a few days. Now it seems to work just fine but it no longer says things like "turning on" or "charging", etc.; while using the locate function on the app still makes it say aloud "I'm here." Any thoughts how to solve this and get voice responses from it again? Thanks in advance! :)

Thank you! Yes, I tested them all in max suction mode. The Mop Pro has much better navigation than the 1C and performs good on hard floors, but there is some issue with carpets, it really performs worse even than some much cheaper models. The same issue with carpets I've seen with the Viomi V2 which has almost identical design and features as the Mop Pro. Maybe the roller brush doesn't make enough pressure on the carpet so it can't agitate the debris to the dustbin.
I have got myself 1C now and love it! Do you have non-OEM microfibre pads to compare it with OEM ones? I got myself used unit and had to buy this part separately. Overall, I'm very happy with vacuum mode, but mop mode is so so and I don't now if that's the model or the cloth case.
I have only the OEM pad. Regarding the mopping mode, it can be useful only if your floors are relatively clean, and you want to keep them clean for longer, the 1C or any other similar model will be a good helper. If there is visible dirt on the floor, the robot will collect it on the pad and drag it across your house leaving streaks on the floor. For better results, the robot must wash the mop during cleaning, like the ILIFE W450, Narwal T10, and some other robots do. Regarding stain removing, I haven't seen a robot vacuum that can remove some old stubborn stain. They just can't provide enough pressure on the floor, so even rotating/vibrating mop in some robots can't handle such old stains.
@@SmartRobotReviews I have also Braava and the pad is dirty after every single clean, but it use all its weight to pressure on the mop to the floor. I have found another review where my doubts were proved - it's all about this model design.
Is there any vacuum cleaner that lets you vacuum and then mop without having to change tanks or manually attach things ?
The Roborock S7 lifts up the mopping pad when vacuums carpets. But this is probably the only model that makes mopping and vacuuming more convenient but you still need to wash the cloth
The cover/lid of the roller brushes are interchangeable?
The roller brushes are not interchangeable simply because they have a different design. I think the same goes to the cover/lid.
Using 1C for a few years and can confirmed this is a better machine.

Thank you! I don't think it will scratch the furniture, it has a rubber protector on the front bumper, so even if it bumps into things, it's not too harsh. However, it is definitely not as accurate as most Lidar robots, but these are more expensive.

Hi Anno, the 1C has a small battery which is hardly enough to cover even my small apartment. On Max mode, it would clean around 40 sqm. There is another models, the 2C, it has a bigger battery so is more suitable for larger places.
As to mapping, the 1C saves one map but when it cleans the second floor, it rebuilt another map. When you run the 1C on the first floor again, it would restore the map it saved. So basically you can run the robot on two floors but a saved map would be only one.

Depends on what you are looking for. As cleaning performers they are equally the same. The G1 lasts longer on max mode and has carpet boost. But I would recommend it for small places and if you don't need no-go zones, etc. So basically if your place is all about open area with no cluttered zones, the G1 is good.
The 1C is good if you are going to send the robot to a particular room or need those extra features.
Really hard to say which one is better. I normally recommend the 1C as a better value but you have to keep in mind that it has a small battery. Only for small homes or studio apartments

Well let's say to me a lot! I would not get a robot without this option. But my mom has short hair and doesn't even have a look at the brushroll in months. So it really depends...

You can see that G1 is ahead of its time compare to 1C, but 1C still has a camera which performs better, but still if you put the tecknology into from G1 into 1C it would be a great buy. Any idea if 1C will release a newer model?

Great review, was going for the G1, but after considering your video, I decided i'd go for the 1C, even with weird one handed brush instead of the 2. haha. Is there any chance you'd review handheld vacmops? I just for the life of me could not decide it.

I tried looking everywhere in my country for the 1C, but I couldn't find it, in the end I bought something called Notale RV855 which, according to the reviews are quite similar with 1C with an addition of UVC lights. maybe you'd be able to pick up this model into consideration for your next head to head comparison.
