      @@SmartRobotReviews oh wow, you've even timestamped the video to all the sections within the video description. I just noticed that. This is some amazing detail. Honestly, you've chosen a very niche topic to review and yet so much hardwork invested. Please try to review other tech things too. And although I love the text narration, having a person in the videos to be a brand will help a lot too. Just a few suggestions from a new subscriber.

    So far so good with this vacuum. th-cam.com/users/postUgkx8ISPQRRAfpAaX4msGjyodObTBnlj4T5g I was a little concerned to find it seems to be all plastic, but the reviews were good, so I'm hoping for the best. Very easy to assemble Recommened, and only attachments I've used so far work well, and are easy to use. Doing a good job on the new carpet in my bedrooms and stairs. Works well on the hardwood on my main floor too. Reasonable weight and cord length. I already knew from an earlier review that it wouldn't fit under furniture, but I can use my Eufy for that, so no problem - the high traffic areas that need a stronger suction was really what I bought this for. If it continues as it's started, it will be a good buy and well worth the money. I have had two Shark Rocket stick vacs in the past that are super easy to use, but the motors just don't last well, even with scrupulous cleaning of the filters. I'm hoping for better with this Bissell.

    Hi! Your video is really awesome! Can you tell the difference between Xiaomi mijia 1c and Xiaomi vacuum mop p? And which one do you prefer? TYSM!

    • @SmartRobotReviews
      @SmartRobotReviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Thank you for kind words. The Xiaomi Vacuum Mop P uses Lidar for mapping and navigation purposes when the Mijia 1C uses a camera (TOF) sensor and gyroscope. Lidar is more precise, so the Mop P builds a more accurate map, can recognize rooms and you can use separate room cleaning, store multiple maps. The Mijia 1C builds not a very accurate map, sometimes it looks slightly distorted, and it lucks of selective room cleaning. The Mop P has a larger water tank and uses a Y-shaped path when mopping. But it has a leaking water tank problem. Regarding the cleaning performance, the Mijia 1C is much better (tested it with sand and debris on a medium-pile carpet), and the overall build quality of the 1C is better imho. So both have their own advantages, hard to say for sure.

    Really not cool from Xiaomi to only allow the function MOP ONLY, only if you buy an extra water only tank. If I already have 2 in 1 tank (mop + vacuum) why this tank cannot allow mop only function? Makes no sense.

    • @SmartRobotReviews
      @SmartRobotReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agree, that's weird. I'm curious how the robot detects that the 2 in 1 bin installed and not the water only tank.

    • @drac124
      @drac124 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@SmartRobotReviews This robot is more advanced than I imagined. What is not advance is the user manual!
      To mop only I have to remove HEPA filter of the 2 in 1 tank and install it. Then it recognizes as water tank, rather than 2 in 1 tank. Then it accepts mopping only. If hepa filter is on, accepts vac + mop only.
      But that is not in the manual neither any sticky instructions.
      Back to loving this bot!

    The water tank has to be inside the robot when you fill it with water. It's not designed to be filled outside and be installed after.
    Not really a design flaw, but I guess it's not the best design or the most intuitive.

    • @ryanverbinski2040

      To prevent water leaking u should fill all container to max, so in this case there is an option to go out with tank of the robot.

    Good evening, I realized that today the robot with the vacuum cleaner and floor cleaner mode has emitted very little water compared to the first time I used it. Also at the end of this cleanup he was unable to return to base (which he always did). I don't wish having sucked a sock this morning compromised anything

    • @SmartRobotReviews
      @SmartRobotReviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi,
      yes, I think mine has the same issue. Looks like it happened when I used it in vacuum & mop mode. Try to use just mopping mode. Probably it's a firmware bug.

  • @berH96
    @berH96 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Having it for almost a month, I don't have any complaints. Just a recommendation, don't buy it if you have really dark floors or carpets. Having a long hair carpet with some black spots, makes the robot think it is on the edge of a cliff whenever the cliff sensor (located under the bumper are 4 cliff sensors) is on top of the black spot.

      Hey there. I can think of the 360 S7 but it doesn't have an electronic water tank so you can't control water output but the robot is better at vacuuming and overall is a great quality for the price. It has the same features as the Xiaomi but does not follow a Y-shape in mopping mode. I would also recommend the Roborock S4. It does not mop but vacuuming performance is great (not suitable for thick carpets tho). Have a look at these robots, these are decent competitors of the Xiaomi.

      The Roborock S5 Max is a better choice if the cost is not a problem. The advantages of the Mop P are its Y-shaped mopping path and lower price. The Roborock S5 Max has a better build quality, more efficient and accurate navigation, better cleaning performance (especially on carpets), and a more stable app. Roborock rolled out ~5-6 firmware updates for the S5 Max within the last year with new features, bug fixes, etc. When the Mop P doesn't receive any updates from the time I made this video.

    Great video. Why does it only have 1 sweeper? Some cheap iLife models even have 2 sweepers

    • @SmartRobotReviews
      @SmartRobotReviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you! Side brush needed only to clean along the walls and corners, in other cases it's almost useless. Cheap ILIFE models use random cleaning pattern, so they may go along the wall in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction when the Lidar-based robot vacuums with one side sweeper use a planned S-shaped cleaning pattern and always go along the wall only in a counter-clockwise direction (so this one side brush is always close to the wall). Also, two side brushes increase the possibility to be tangled in cords.

      @@SmartRobotReviews great, thanks! Also, is the roller brush better than pure vacuum for hardwood and marble? I see the mi vacuum mop has roller brushes but my iLife only has side brushes and a vacuum hole

    • @SmartRobotReviews
      @SmartRobotReviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I think it's helpful even on a hardwood floor. At least, the roller brush is wider than the suction inlet in robot vacuums without the roller brush, so it covers a larger area on one pass.

    • @SmartRobotReviews
      @SmartRobotReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would not recommend this robot vacuum to clean the spills caused by dogs. It will just drag the wet cloth with dog's pee around your house. There are two mopping robots (ILIFE w400 and Narwal robot) that collect the dirty water from the mopping pat to a separate water container. But I never used these robots, so not sure how good they are. All other robot vacuums and mops don't collect the dirty water.

  • @andreirotaru1383
    @andreirotaru1383 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I have the mi mop pro and the leaking part is due to pressure. It has two nozzles inder the water container that are open. After you fill it up with water, when you put the cap on, and wait a few seconds, the pressure drops, because of some water droplets dopping from the bottom, and then it stops, at witch point you can put it in the vacuum without leaking any water.

    • @SmartRobotReviews
      @SmartRobotReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, yes it helps and doesn't leak if you wait for a few seconds. Yet, it may still leak a bit when you remove the water tank when the robot finished cleaning. If you use it carefully, probably it's not a big deal, let's not forget that it's one of the most affordable Lidar robot vacuums with a lot of smart features, so it's like a trade-off. Even the most expensive models have some cons and design flaws.

      Hi,
      As far as I know, this model is very popular in India. It picks up hair perfectly from a hardwood floor. But it probably will not be able to remove hair embedded with a carpet. Also, long hairs entangle around the roller brush, so you will need to remove the tangled hairs from the brush once a week or so.
