So glad Eric from 10th Generation Dairyman recommended your videos. You young gentlemen/dairymen are an absolutely amazing. Your videos are awesome and you both utilize drones in showing us the remarkable daily lives of running a quality dairy farm. I can't imagine the scope of work in a much colder climate as Saskatchewan. Can you tell us where in Sask. you farm? I have family that lives in Calgary while the rest reside in and around London & Toronto, Ontario. Both my parents were born in Canada. Dad in Montreal, mom in Winnipeg. We have several very large dairy farms in the mid/upper Thumb of Michigan's lower peninsula, about 90 minutes from me.
Thank you for showing us how you dry out a cow as I have never seen that or even knew such a practice existed. Keep bringing us the great aerial shots and showing us the life of a Canadian dairyman!! You are, simply put, extraordinary!!

Giving your ladies a 2 month break and prepping them with antibiotics and caring for there utters (tits) you take very good care of your investment. What happens to the old ladies that no longer can produce milk and those that are senior. R they put out to pasture to let die. Like any thing in life you are born work at what ever you do and get ready to go to the next life. It makes me sad but that's life. Young kestra (Jan)🤣 I don't know how to spell your name ( sorry)🙄

Once I was riding my bike and the road was near a farm and there I saw a Big big Bull. He was 2 times as big and a cow and if you put him in your 5to5 meter room than the room would be full. I never saw a genetic strong bull in my life, it was amazing. Like a bodybuilder in the cow community lol

Drying off the cows will never be a mystery now. I am surprised how nosey cows are. They can find the camera no matter where you put it. I am also surprised at the amount of cow dung there is everywhere. Not a part of farming I ever thought about. Cow pies in the field maybe but not everywhere. Thanks for sharing. Very interesting.

In the field they do it also every where!
There are animals who do it on a special place but cows don't!

I like your videos . I like to know putting your dry cow outside where is cold after being in the building stressful on them. You doing a great job care for your cow.

Awesome video man, thanks for sharing, there is a lot more to managing a farm than I could have ever imagined, lots to keep track of.
I do have many concerns about all the chemicals and vaccines that happen in today’s dairy farming and while I recognize that on a management level that it may be beneficial but what are the long term detriments of all this on not only the animals but us humans, there are of course many pros and cons and I don’t know the answers myself but I tend to think long term that it’s going to be proven bad.
Anyway, I love your videos, the intro was amazing and the music too was good. Thank you for sharing with us, farmers are by far the hardest working men and woman on the face of this planet ad for this, I admire all farmers, farmers are the back bone of society and we all applicate your hard work and dedication to the cause, truly amazing stuff.

Cows that have been injected or given any type of antibiotic usually have the milk dumped for a while to ensure we don’t have it in the milk we drink. The long term effects on the cow is that they live.

Nice vid Jan. Beautiful and educational! That net old grain storage facility (ASQUITH) lost its rail spur, is it still open? Blessings

All that steel and concrete is beautiful but working in that fog bank seems kind of a pain and not so healthy ! That is quite a leap from being in that warm humid environment to outside in freezing temps in one giant step ! Thanks for the interesting video !!

I just came across your channel and watched a bunch of vids. Real informative. This one confused me though. You referenced putting the cows into the bullpen. You also referenced the heifers were to be ai then put with the bull? Did I misunderstand or what?
