Imagine being in that crowd, watching this for the first time live, not knowing the impact that little kid in the purple hat would have on the world and popular culture in general, fan or not, you can’t argue that his impact in this world was gigantic!! The Jackson 5 as a whole had a big impact but Michael was on another level that I personally believe will never be repeated!
These 5 brothers together were simply magic!! Timing, harmonies, coordinated dance moves, flawless musicianship and Michael's angelic lead vocals! Simply amazing!

@Julie Lourdes You do realise when this came out there were people calling it overproduced crap just like you are now? ‘’Remember when music used to be sung by adults?!?! So much better than these ridiculous children’s bands they’re forcing on us now!’’ And guess what, in 20 years time they’ll be saying ‘they don’t make them like this anymore’ about something from the 2020s….
A child...just imagine! Thank you MJ. Your childhood wasn't ideal but in all that hardship you gave us music that's gotten us through so much. REST IN PARADISE ❤🙏🏽🕊
Honestly, the _insane_ and utterly sadistic level of abuse he (and his siblings but especially Michael) suffered would absolutely mess anyone up, permanently. All the actual scientific literature in terms of neurology in the last few decades has shown this conclusively, so his eccentricity is something I could never judge (and who cares, anyway?). As far as his accusations re: children, I could truly go either way - he totally could've done it, but I also can legitimately see him to have been kind of stuck in childhood, trying to recreate, almost pathologically, the childhood he truly never had. His was just _that_ awful, perhaps he spent the rest of his life making up for it. Either way, the fact the man couldn't go to sleep without being given an anesthetic that normally is given only _to put people out for surgery_ just to get a few hours of sleep at most shows how tortured he truly was.

@dashingcharmer2013 ......Jackie Wilson, James Brown, Diana Ross & the Supremes, The Temptations, Four Tops, Gladys Knight & The Pips......Elvis Presley......were all around back in the day. Michael Jackson was the best barring none of the above though they were great singers and performers. Michael was a complete package ( like airline, hotel and rental car is a complete package). He started performing when all those guys were still around. There’s no singer/ entertainer alive who could move tens of thousands of people like Michael.
@@peachkookie3122 ...Selena was a gift to music. She was special and a great singer/entertainer. She was not in the same category as Michael Jackson or some of the singers mentioned above. Michael Jackson drew 125,000 people to a concert in Liverpool. It’s one of the largest of all time. Wembley Stadium has a capacity of 90,000.......just think about it. What is it about that individual that is so magnetic that you are drawn to him? What makes him able to move so many people?
Every aspect of this is sublime. The light in young Mike's eyes, ever-present in live performance, the coordination well-drilled by their father's strict methods, the era encapsulating outfits, and the execution of the vocals showing the forthcoming behemoth he would be, far beyond his stature at the time. We are so blessed to have been able to witness this greatness and it be perpetuated for generations to come. He was truly one of a kind.
He was such a seasoned performer even at the tender age of 11 he has complete command of the stage. I also love how he adds his own pizazz to the second verse “trying to live without your love is one long sleepless night”. Just brilliant.

Who’s here to see the legend?! Rip MJ it’s kinda sad while his gift brought joy and smiles to so many of us he was suffering. There will truly never be another like him!
Michael always had a much larger and more naturally graceful spring in his dance than anyone around him. Throughout his long career...this was evident...even when working alongside some of the most trained and choreographed professional dancers available to him at the time. He was always just (head and shoulders) "different".
Michael was born with the kind of talent that only comes once in a while on this earth. he looks so sweet and innocent here. I wish he had the proper guidance he deserved :(
I think the most heartbreaking thing about watching Michael perform in his youth is that you can tell how happy he was. I’m not sure if he was ever able to be happy again, except when he was performing. That’s why as an adult he was so strange and made dumb decisions, because he was chasing the happiness that he could never get back.

What about Janet?
Watching these old clips of MJ almost brings a tear to my eye. What an AMAZING talent he was. Effortless and pitch-perfect singing, charming cute smile, stage presence - the kid had it all. What a loss to the world he was. Wow wow wow! RIP Michael, the world will never see your like again.
What a loss indeed

Seeing Michael singing as a child is worth more than going to see 100 concerts of current artists... It's just incredible ❤

@@Bodyhealthsoul Do you have any proof? Even the FBI has investigated him without finding a single piece of evidence, so shut up.
@ Current News Talk
he wasn’t a pedophile. eccentric sure but he never abused kids. even the accusers have confessed to their lies

Donny Osmond and Foster Sylver were close at that time, too, but I agree!
I’m 64 years old.....Michael Jackson is the greatest entertainer I’ve seen in my lifetime barring none!
Not saying his brothers weren’t talented because they are, but there is something about Michael that stood out.
