Nice Michael! Your camera game has really gotten good. I enjoy your smooth riding style and pleasant voice. Now I've got the song "Smooth Operator" stuck in my head. Also that top box looks big enough to put all three of my granddaughters in! Although I would require sound suppression too. Grandpa what's that, Grandpa can we go over there, Grandpa I want........ lol That big gas tank would be great for over here in the Great Plains. Sometimes it's a long ways between stops. Great way to distract me from election day!
Great to see you back. You are one of the few motorcycle TH-camrs that I can actually relate to and who, for me, is creditable and relatable. Not a born again but someone who has ridden throughout their life and not influenced by fashion and fads.
@@benlark8603 Thank you Ben . Over the years I have definitely been through phases of bikes Off road singles ,Ducati’s ,twins generally ,upright 4’s, sports bikes and sports/tourers ! Well over 60 bikes .. What I have, eventually ,learnt to do is ignore some of the more debatable features (16 inch wheels , shrouded discs , 6 piston brake calibers etc etc ) and try and buy bikes that go , stop and handle well ,for their day and are actually fit for purpose. Still bought some lemons over the years 😂
Enjoyable content thanks for sharing. I'm going to pull the trigger on the R 1300 GSA TE ASA in the spring, I just don't see the point of a Panigale anymore on the public roads.... Big Brother watch on every corner 🙂
@@ex0148 I have an M1000R now .Replaced my RR . Wind blast on the upright keeps it more restrained but you are right . You need to be so careful . I ride my R1300 GS far more . Fun at sensible speed ..
having tried adaptive cruise to me now standard old cruise seems like an unfinished system ... like having a car with power windows in front and wind up ones at the rear! 🙂
Wow the price is eye-watering as is the tec, the weight and everything else, it's not for me but it's not aimed at me. As for the looks all i can say is it's definitely been on the ugly pills. It's the opposite of everything i look for in a bike but each to their own, you pays your money etc.
😂..Some bikes are tricky to film and big tinted screens are tough . I could see over the screen but not when fully up ! The first camera angle is a chin height mounted camera ( lower than my real vision) and the later a top helmet mount so significantly higher than my line of sight 👍
you never mentioned the seat on the GSA !! the 1300GS seat is in my opinion not that comfortable because of its shape and size (my only criticism of the bike), whereas the 1300GSA seat is alot more comfortable similar to the old 1250 GS/GSA
@@gerryryan2302 I certainly found it more immediately comfortable than my 1300 GS but actually find both good now . I did say that the GSA was a comfortable mile eater and part of that is clearly the seat and riding position 👍
@@solidsnake3861 I like the VStrom . I must do , I bought one! I also think the new GS models are very good bikes . The “old” 1250 dominated the big adventure / Tourer market for years . I would be surprised if the new one doesn’t , at some point , do the same . Not everyone likes them , but they are popular ..

@ Thought about the V4 S Streetfighter but went for a M1000R in the end . That V4S is a great engine 👍
It's refreshingly distinctive which is great. If I wasn't a 5'9 shortarse and had 25k down the back of the sofa I'd love one.
😂 You could ride it at 5’9 … the 25 K may challenge a few of us !

Good review and comparison with your bikes. Like your route but that mud, I'll avoid the Stow road when it's wet.
Good to hear from you Richard . The road with the most mud is the Lechlade to Faringdon road … pretty grubby at the moment !
Thanks for the tip. Saw a lot of big adventure bikes out in the Cotswolds on Saturday afternoon. I guess the NO GSA demo day was popular.
