As a 90's kid I loved Digimon and still do even at almost 32 it is one of my favorite childhood shows. I only watched it up to season 3 saw the movie twice in theaters. Yes I did watch Pokemon but I loved Digimon more.

you forgot Lucemon. the only villain to date to had destroyed the digital world and have two royal knights under him, also as a rookie ended the sacred war.
OG villains are still iconic to this day, really imprinted in our little brain, especially Myotismon and Dark Masters, holding mid arc and final arc's greatness all together. I just gald they also included 2020 OG's reboot and Ghost Game's villains, series wasn't perfect, but still has good moments, like how reboot did Devimon justice.

I haven't seen Last Evolution, but I believe that's one time the human villain actually gets just desserts. I don't count Kurata because he got sucked into a wormhole never to be heard from, so he may or may not have gotten what was coming to him. I'm also saying that because in a earlier video like this he essentially commits mass murder of Digimon...just because he's afraid, and honestly Director Hashiba should have gotten some form of punishment, because its stated on the wikipedia page for Data Squad he either agreed with Kurata or was tricked. D-Reaper infects Jeri after Beelzemon kills Leomon. Koichi as Duskmon was terrifying, since we see him ruthlessly destroy Arbormon, and in that first clash...its J. P. and Koji who know their no match for him, while Takuya believes they can beat him, so my question is what would have happened had Koji and Takuya not gotten there in time to save the others? J. P. would have been up the creek without a boat and a paddle, because he would have told Zoe and Tommy to go get the others while he fought Duskmon alone, because I don't think he would have wanted either to get hurt or in the way. Myotismon...he's going to be the top villain for many longtime fans. In his debut arc, only WereGarurumon and Angemon were able to hurt him. I mean no offense, but Angewomon had to power-up Celestial Arrow.
No love/hate for Millenniummon? This fusion of Kimeramon and Machinedramon was a walking apocalypse that nearly brought the entire Digimon multiverse to its knees!
Hands-down Myotismon is my all-time favorite digimon villain and obviously the show must have liked him, because after he was defeated, they had him become the first villain to become a mega level Digimon VenomMyotismom and then, in season two they bring him back again as the main big bad villain MaloMyotismon

as short of an appearance as she made, I preferred Lilithmon in Ghost Game. she was genuinely sultry and menacing in equal measure, and seemed like a threat to be taken seriously more than in Fusion. she wasn't a silly joke character in Ghost Game. XD
Dr. Kurata will remain my number 1. He's one of the few villains I legitimately hated, not only scoffing at the idea of coexistence but killing the only mother Keenan had ever known. It takes a special bread of Evil to Kill Digmon, then from their data, make a mindless, heartless drone that only seeks to destroy more digmon. Also I feel they did Yukio Oikawa dirty. How do you gloss over the fact that his only real friend was Cody's Father? Then when he died he became a bit of a lost soul. It wasn't so much he wanted a digimon, he wanted to recapture a time when he was happy. I think the most tragic part was when he would return to the grave sight showing his former friend his research on Digimon.
the dark master needed more episodes to trully stand out. puppet mone is just the 'digimon wargreymon could not defeat' i mean it was great story and growth for matt but the arc felt a bit short and we dint really get to know all 4of them and see how they where. puppetmon could probly have become good afther realising how to get friends etc.

Myotismon is definitely the best but i do like the yggdrasil knights from the X movie. They would have been the "good" guys in most versions but are good antagonists in the movie.
The Dark Masters are some of the Best incarnation of the four Horsemen of Apocalypse and pop culture I love all four other personalities in the first season of Digimon.
I remember to be so creeped out about Myotismon then scared when he came back again in the second season and just killed Arukenimon for no explained reason. That was aweful to watch as a 7 year old. Didn't want (or dare) to watch Digimon again until I was like 15. Biggest childhood trauma, but now I think he is the best villain the show could hope for.
For most important Millenniummon is perhaps Numero Uno. First appearing as the threat in the Wonderswan game Digimon Tag Tamers he is the source of the dark spores in Adventure 02 making him the one behind the Digimon emperor he also infected the partner digimon of Digimon Tamers Tamer Ryo's partner Cyberdramon making the ultimate a berserker his Tamer had to hold back. The he returned in Digimon Adventure 2020 corrupting an entire other digital world. For the world of Digimon Games the ruthless hacker Analogman caused havoc, Plunging the digital world of Digimon World into Chaos by forcing Mega Evolution into a world where it didn't exist with the first Machindramon his defeat didn't cleanse that corruption his corrupt code infecting the SuperComputer GAIA for Digimon World 2 where it drove digimon berserk, created the DNA/Biomerged Mega NeoCrimson turned and GAIA's AI into a Darwinian villain. And still in the alternate Reality of second Digimon Digital Game he hacked the system and tried to destroy another Digital World. Lastly Parallelmon from the V-Tamer manga, a Mega digimon kidnapping Digidestine and Digimon Tamers from alternate Realities to feed on thier power and become the Ultimate Digimon. Only the mistake of taking V-Tamer's Tai and Adventur 02's Davis at the same time lead to his doom. The duo uniting the captured kids to power up AeroVeedramon Zero and Magnamon and eradicate the villain.
I don't think people realise just how powerful the original devimon was. I reckon , despite being a champion level, he had the power of a high level ultimate bordering on mega level power. Angemon had to absorb the power of 6-7 Digimon as well as sacrifice himself just to destroy devimon.
@jeffreyerekson2179 I think he's similar to angemon : - they are champion but have ultimate level powers. Same with when angemon digivolves to ultimate - magnaangemon has mega level power.
Wow. Beelzemon is number 4. It’s amazing how despite his touching redemption, the fact remains that his actions stands among the vilest of the Digimon villains.

Interesting...I have the majority of these as part of my collection in Cyber Sleuth. Though I also have the majority of the protagonists as well...named for their human partners, of course. Including a Sabreleomon named Jeri.
U didnt even put Quartzmon. It took The Power of 7 Digimon Anime Protagonists to take Him down. He even Summon all those Myotismons U are So Proud of. Dark Knightmon is also quite Powerful and Dangerous. He is Technically The Brother of Bugramon in Xros Wars And Negamon gave The Adventure Remake Kids a Hard Time that Omegamon had to Change Evolution
Black Wargreymon should have been number one. I get it, he’s not like crazy evil, but he’s one of the most interesting and complicated antagonists for a kids show.
Antagonists and villian is different black wargreymon was just a lost soul. Now our lord and savior Myotismon is the txt book definition of a villian. Self absorbed, evil, kills his own ppl and I'll nvr forget how he did pumpkinmon. Poor boi just wanted to eat ice cream and chill with his rock buddy
Menoa Bellucci was a villain that hit me in a very personal way: She weaponized her nostalgia. She just wanted to go back to the days when Digimon was about hanging out with your animal friends and getting into wacky adventures. Not being about going to college, paying taxes, etc. Oof.
Black WarGreymon was never a villain. He was an total anti hero of the second season. Everything he did was not because he was evil but because he was searching for his place in a world that he just appeared in out of nowhere.
Lets put more respect at gulusgammamon and regulusmon name everyone of his apparition are so cool and shivering and every time he come and take the kill even his own other half and he got the best disgne of the top
Piedmon was the most competent antagonist. He easily wiped out all the mega digimon and turned almost every digidestined into keychains. The only thing that managed to stop him was the long awaited arrival of magna-angemon

Myotismon is still the best number Digimon villain. He is the only one who returned twice, the master mind behind season 2, responsibility for multiple permanent Digimon deaths, manipulation and controlled Ken and Oikawa, abused his minions, and responsible for Oilawa’s death.

Ken was the goat. Puppetmon should have made the list though. He manipulated Matt and Kai into fighting each other. It was a cool arc.

Only the mistake of taking V-Tamer's Tai and Adventur 02's Davis at the same time lead to his doom. The duo uniting the captured kids to power up AeroVeedramon Zero and Magnamon and eradicate the villain.

I don't think people realise just how powerful the original devimon was. I reckon , despite being a champion level, he had the power of a high level ultimate bordering on mega level power. Angemon had to absorb the power of 6-7 Digimon as well as sacrifice himself just to destroy devimon.
I truly thought Devimon WAS ultimate lvl TBH.
@jeffreyerekson2179 I think he's similar to angemon : - they are champion but have ultimate level powers. Same with when angemon digivolves to ultimate - magnaangemon has mega level power.
It should be added that Diaboromon also became an even a bigger threat called Armageddemon in the film "Digimon Adventure 02: Revenge of Diaboromon".
D reaper should have been number 1 with Kurata as 2! They were the most complex of all the villains!
Wow. Beelzemon is number 4. It’s amazing how despite his touching redemption, the fact remains that his actions stands among the vilest of the Digimon villains.

Antagonists and villian is different black wargreymon was just a lost soul. Now our lord and savior Myotismon is the txt book definition of a villian. Self absorbed, evil, kills his own ppl and I'll nvr forget how he did pumpkinmon. Poor boi just wanted to eat ice cream and chill with his rock buddy

Myotismon was the nastiest villain. The Gatoman arc with him is one of my all time favorite anime arcs

Menoa Bellucci was a villain that hit me in a very personal way: She weaponized her nostalgia. She just wanted to go back to the days when Digimon was about hanging out with your animal friends and getting into wacky adventures. Not being about going to college, paying taxes, etc. Oof.
I found DarkKnightmon more interesting than Lilithmon from Xros Wars/Fusion. His ambition and manipulation was far more fun to watch.

Black WarGreymon was never a villain. He was an total anti hero of the second season. Everything he did was not because he was evil but because he was searching for his place in a world that he just appeared in out of nowhere.

Piedmon was the most competent antagonist. He easily wiped out all the mega digimon and turned almost every digidestined into keychains. The only thing that managed to stop him was the long awaited arrival of magna-angemon

Myotismon is still the best number Digimon villain. He is the only one who returned twice, the master mind behind season 2, responsibility for multiple permanent Digimon deaths, manipulation and controlled Ken and Oikawa, abused his minions, and responsible for Oilawa’s death.
