  • @BarrieSpence
    @BarrieSpence 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks, Zoë. Very helpful (even if I just use tool presets!). Just a couple of questions - why airbrush mode and why 70% flow?

    • @zoenoblephoto
      @zoenoblephoto  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Barrie! I have airbrush on because I like being able to bring more "paint" if I hold down the stamp tool. For removing blemishes it's not so important because I just tap once to remove but for some instances I like to have a more painterly effect. But without airbrush is absolutely fine... it's just a personal preference with how I paint and use my pen :) 70% is because I found 100% to be too strong... I will reduce this if I need to have a more gentle affect, say in areas that are more out of focus, but I just found 70% again works for me well. Experiment and see how you find them but this value can be changed to suit your workflow :)

    Extremely professional in both presentation and practice/workflow... I first found your channel from the luminosity mask technique for colour grading and that's the method I've come to use now.
    You can always tell a professionals work by the subtlety in their approach and what they value in it... so many skin retouching you see in mainstream marketing is full airbrush smooth city, but your practice accomplishes the same perfection while keeping her looking real and imperfect :p
    I am looking forward to how you approach the dodge and burn tutorial, I always get very carried away with those tools ^^

    2:37 Zoe, forgive my ignorance, but why would the texture be destroyed if you're cloning the texture from somewhere else? In this case, it can be assumed that you are exchanging a bad texture for a good texture, right?
