I have been struggling for sooo long to get colours how i want them using selective colours and hsl sliders and curves and gradient maps... everything!!! I wonder how much of a difference it makes vs using blend if to select highlights and colors, but I do assume you have way more control here. Thank you either way, this was wonderful to watch. Now I will try and see if these actions work in CS6 as well

I like your retouching. You are subtle about it - alter until it looks great then back it off a bit, because you know about editing blindness - the effect that makes you go "crap, did I really do that?" when you look at the pictures again next day.
