Hi, Thanks for this its's such a great help. I have my 750 in back in Greece and when I return, I have been told to get this done as the fuel over there is so crap, kills the plugs. At least that is what I have been told over the last few years. Strangely, they do this and the bike runs great for about 2 weeks and then back to rough running and no power beyond 4000rpm.

I assume the exhaust power valve is working just fine ?
I had issues with most things due to the age and neglect of mine. The coils were also an issue. Made for plenty of vids to learn from though.
      Good luck with yours.....
It is not as special, but have another VFR750 now, the last, 1996. (The best ) arguably!

... decided to strip the 4 Mikuni BDS38's carbs off and bring them back to the UK. Will get them properly serviced and balanced here and then refit them when back over there. Suppose it's a process of elimination again. At least I will know the carbs have been correctly sorted with all new parts. Then it's just new in-tank-fuel-pump, new gasket (£60!!!) , and should be good to go? The bike is such a wonderful bit of engineering, I am trying so hard not to forsake the old girl, if I can do something to get her back running as well as she did, then going to give it my best shot. 😊

... The last time the garage said it was plugs (again!) turned out to be the small vacuum membrane under the fuel tank was perished. This stopped enough fuel being delivered when on throttle. Last time it was in the shop there, they said the carbs needed total overhaul, as there was a petrol leak? Uhm.....

Thanks for sharing, that was quite a job. I have a 95 yz 750 and my radiator is curved I couldn't quite see but is yours straight ?
