Hey guys this was super cool to watch. The floating restaurant is such a cool idea. We enjoy getting ideas when we head back out to Europe. What made you move there ? We have liked and subbed to see more from you. Chelsea and Mike
Love this as always guys. Wish I was there now. Chinese and a unique experience sounds awesome. Enjoying being subscribed to this channel. I am doing my rounds letting our friends and colleagues here know that we are one step closer to making our dream of driving around the World with a carbon-neutral footprint, and we have changed our channel name to be more marketable for our niche of travel, preservation, and culture. It is a little geeky, but we like it. I hope you enjoy your day and continue to enjoy our content as we try to improve. - Turtle

@@nateandkatrinadotheworld The world has so much adventure ahead for all travelers, and I hope your adventures are equally amazing. Please let us know if our vlogs are ever inspirations to you, as that is what we strive for.
In the past and in most of Europe, no tip is expected… staff is paid normal wages and doesn’t survive on tips like the US. It’s still common to leave a few Euros for a nice dinner… often a bill of €55 could be rounded up to €60 for example. The standard 20% like in the US is just not normal. However, in major tourist cities… Amsterdam, Paris, Rome, etc…. The staff knows Americans are used to tipping and definitely angle for it. More and more.
I don't think it makes much difference if the restaurant is floating or on dry land. Also, wasn't there that thing in Hong Kong? It always looked big on pictures. It has sunken now, so that leaves this one in A'dam.

Question do you tip at a sit down restaurant?

I think what you’re tasting in the sponge cake is brown sugar! :)

Agreed - it’s definitely more of a kitschy kind of thing that it is “floating” but it was fun to dine over the water and watch all of the boats go by!
Robot is dilly-dallying 🤣
Haha! We thought the same thing. 😂 Still pretty cool to see, though!
All the locals always said don’t go there😂
Probably because it’s more of a touristy spot. But we thought it was pretty good. Thanks for watching!
