You’ll definitely want to play crisis core before you play rebirth, if you plan on playing it. You’ll learn who Zack is and his backstory and why the scenes with him in this game were very important and shocking.

I don't know if you plan to play Crisis Core or not, but just know that if you do, you'll be spoiling something major about the story that shouldn't come into play until Part 3. I personally advise against it, but that's really up to you.

Hello. No spoilers in this comment. Loved this episode! DLC is great. You will love it. It introduces some other characters which are necessary to play Rebirth. Rebirth was my GOTY. Its at least 2.5x bigger than this game. Quite massive in comparison. I will say youve got the right idea of plot. Think of the flow of destiny as how it was in the og ff7. In og midgar is only about 5 hours in total, and you do not fight sephiroth there. I will say i loved the ending sequence of this game. So epic. Hope the third game is just as epic. I hope Rebirth makes it to pc next year for your sake. Or just get a PS5 😂 Youll love the game. Loved the playyhrough. Cheers 😊

You did well with the fights , especially against Sephiroth 👏 God I wish I can tell more and more précisions but it is so easy to spoil if I start to explain things 😂 Of course there are many mysteries and unanswered questions, still after Rebirth (they had to save some for the last part haha ). Sorry but you will remain confused for a while :p I will not recommend you anything special about the FF7 lore and what to do. Playing the OG would of course be a thing to do to understand better what the Remake wants to explain you. But at same time you may want to discover everything through this Remake trilogy. Playing Crisis Core would also bring you background to Zack’s character and is a really good game. But also making a big reveal that you may want to discover better in the main game (only in OG so far, Rebirth has not been treating this reveal fully yet despite hints and beginning of leads). So the purpose of Rebirth may make you feel weird if you know already this reveal. Waiting to have a PS5 for Rebirth/for it to be released on PC can also be more than valid. But make you at risk to be spoiled during this wait and/or missing important elements. I am honestly surprised you are not spoiled about some main events already :) So there are pros and cons whatever the situation anyway. That’s why I won’t strongly recommend anything or create a debate or argument ☺️ Aswell as I won’t say anymore about comparisons with the OG. The pleasure of the discovery is important and whatever you decide to do or to play, it will be a wonderful journey. If you feel this, then it means Square Enix did a great job to create this parallel between Aerith’s feelings and the player’s ones ;) and now being thrown in an unknown journey as the last words say. The order of which to play these games are honestly very confusing ( I will probably get why in the future) but rn I think the best move is to let people who have played these games before vote for it! That new guy “no spoilers” you saw. This was the reaction of fans: Fans who played the OG: WHAT?!?! HOW?!! WHY?!? New Fans Who don’t know the OG: WHO?!? Recall what the screen shows us: This unknown guy…says he was a soldier. And he is carrying cloud. So you and newer fans can assume that Cloud and him know each other from their time in Shinra and have some relationship. He was carrying cloud somewhere..but it can’t be the present..right? Is it the future? The past? Why was he carrying cloud? Why were Shinra troops after him? Wait, the game has is changing destiny so..what was his destiny? We clearly changed something! Why did the screen focus on this guy’s face when he passed the cloud and aerith we were playing?
You should not play Crisis Core until after you play the final part of Remake Part 3. Crisis Core has major spoilers for Part 3 and FF7 Rebirth (Part 2). If you play the original, then playing Crisis Core makes sense, but you should not do so until after FF7 Part 3 or the original.

as I’ve heard this will indeed spoil stuff before Rebirth, but that it will only enhance some of the moments for Rebirth.. I think the winning one rn is me going to Rebirth with an OG’s eyes which seems to be enjoyable for the people voting.. but the poll isn’t really completely over yet.. well not until ffx is finished
Yay, congrats on beating your first final fantasy part 1! I will also add that while fighting the whispers, Cloud and team kept getting glimpses of the “future”. Those glimpses are actual scenes from the OG and its ending. And remember that Red 13 said - they were glimpses of the future if they DO NOT succeed in that battle with the whispers/Sephiroth. So yes, defeating them does mean you have altered/changed what is supposed to happen! Def play DLC Yuffie content and seriously cannot WAIT for you to play Part 2! It’s INCREDIBLE!!!

In my honest opinion, I think now is a good time to play crisis core, if, of course your discord votes for such etc. All the zack stuff and the ending will make zero sense unless you have played that game unfortunately.
While I think playing Rebirth first is just fine, I also recommend playing Crisis Core before Rebirth. There will be people who attempt to spoil it and Rebirth will be the much bigger audience and there's always some clown who pops up and posts blatant spoilers. I think it's generally safer to play Crisis Core first before Rebirth in terms of keeping the spoilers in check.
I'm sorry but this is awful advise. Crisis Core is meant for people who have already finished the OG. It is absolutely not required for Rebirth since the Retrilogy will be self explanatory.
