- A Quick , Unplanned and unexpected Video ! Apologies for the lack of video's recently , Work has had to take priority recently and well of course , its work that pays for the van payments and trips , We were on our way to a CS Site ( Video Soon ) and decided to stop for a cuppa at waveney campers near Gt Yarmouth , i took the opportunity to film some of these wonderful VW,S & Ford transits and to say i was impressed is an understatement , no we wont be downsizing again but we couldn't believe how nice these vans are and how well converted they are , with quality builds and stunning looks , the ability to park them anywhere and can fit under height restriction barriers , we can certainly see why people choose these vans ...Simply Amazing ! ( WE LOVED THE FORD AT THE END ! )

Getting a Vw camper is not just the van but the following that goes with them etc.
I assume you mean the vdub clubs etc , such an amazing following and great owners groups , was really impressed with the vans

Always nice to see you've posted a vlog. Those van conversions are beautifully done but having started out with a Mazda Bongo conversion, then on to a coachbuilt, I'd never go back to a smaller van.
I'd rather forfeit the ease of parking for the additional space.
Hi rob i always admired those mazda bongo’s when they first started to appear , yes there’s definitely a lot to be said about internal space , there’s always a compromise with these vans

Bonjour Frenchies glad to see you both back and looking well, we've always like them VW, I'm amazed when you see them unpack on a site just how much comes out of them, certainly more they we even take with us for sure, plus side of them is the small footprint for parking in towns etc and can even use as a daily driver saving on a car, plus ton of cool parts, wheels, nice paint jobs, yes personally I like them even at what looks like a sky high price, worth every penny I think, good vlog keep them coming 👍

We toyed with the idea of these before we got our van (we had a caravan previously) and while on paper it seemed a smart move, easy to park, not paying for storage, one vehicle instead of two etc. In the end we just didn’t want to forgo our comfort, the dog alone has a lot of paraphernalia to bring, coats, towels, leads, food etc. Plus I really don’t think I could be bothered having to stoop a lot 😂 They are lovely though, perhaps when we were younger, fitter and dogless 😊 Thanks for sharing, Em💛
Hi Em yes totally understand they are not for everyone , i love the look of them and the convenience, a great weekend van that can park anywhere and we see them everywhere and on most sites too , quirky with a lovely range of colours and yes can be used as normal car , id love to try one and see 😀 thanks for watching and commenting

Hi Mike and Kirsty, beautiful vans for sure but once you hit these prices you have a massive choice available all of which come with their own compromises of course. We have a Toyota Alphard Jap import conversion. Absolutely immaculate inside and out even underneath! Not unusual for these vehicles. We purchased ours from a local importer / conversion company called Andys imports. Well known in Norfolk / Norwich area and been going for over 25 years. Great guy / company.
However we do have “bigger is better” envy as our little camper is fairly small. I then start to think about parking, storage and every other “compromise” with the bigger units. We use the Alphard as a daily and can park anywhere. Compromise we have to make is no fixed loo / bathroom of course (same as most of the vans in the vid) but our van was half the price 25k brand new conversion.
I must say I like the look of your new van, probably still a bit big for us as we live down a very narrow country lane (Fleggburgh) and the swing onto driveway is not so great!! Did use to have a caravan on drive so guess a 6m ish motorhome will fit quite nicely 👍😀

those vans were really nice apart from the prices but i think that’s all to do with the explosion in van purchases around the covid time when people were reluctant to go to airports and ended up buying motorhomes and caravans etc , we envy the fact that you can park anywhere , no height restrictions for you , no holding your breath every time you go under a railway bridge , and as you say ideal for narrow lanes , however we do appreciate a shower and toilet , i’ll have a look at yours and see if there’s any images online of one and i’ve definitely heard of andy’s imports he has a great reputation 👍

Hi dave & helen , yes we are finally away now near acle , church farm Cs , nice little orchard on the A47 , literally a mile away from norwich camping and leisure , cheers both 👍

Good to have you back 😀, nice to compare our T5.1 called Freedom ( it’s a George Michael thing ) Michelle’s fav artist with the newer T6 .
Liking the deep red T6 lovely colour 😎 , having old Ford Classics ,it was a difficult choice with the transit conversions but a Vw came up at the right time at the right price .
Different angle for this video and that’s what makes your channel Ace 👍🏻 keep them coming .

Hi guys absolutely Love the george michael freedom thing! , naturally way before my time 😂😂 but love the name , Michelle has taste 👍 , jokes aside that ford was a surprise, how they got all that in there for such a small van , the decor was stunning , we were really impressed with the vw’s apart from their price tags but well built and really did look the part , really loved them 👍😀

Id love to stay in one and get a feel for it , they look impressive with all the mod cons but as you say its all about the space 👍
