PT 2 Of our visit to this beautiful spot in the derbyshire dales
Home to the Duke & Duchess of Devonshire , peregrine cavendish , the 12th duke of Devonshire , are pleased to share their history allowing visitors to experience this amazing place , With over 200 rooms ( only 25 available to see ) , beautiful gardens , tons of history and plenty to see and do , i’d highly recommend a stay at the campsite or one of the hotels nearby

Hi julie yes we just came across it and someone said in the comments it was possible that it was built on a spring and directed water down ? Not sure but interesting all the same

Hi Rob and thanks , Believe it or not filming the house was a nightmare , it was very dark for starters and the rain on the way there had fogged my camera lense up , then there’s respecting peoples privacy in a busy place , so trying not to get people in shot and being somewhat diplomatic wasn’t easy ! But i really liked it in there the whole experience was amazing

Hi pete & su , yeah such a lovely place , hopefully be back in October the sun should be out by then ! 😂 that walk was nice but we had to cut half of it out it was just to dangerous and mossy , very slippery in places , i didn’t fancy walking out on that viaduct 😂 , i’m glad it’s not only me that gets funny looks when filming

Hi we were here for the may bank hol weekend end of may, i did message you about it in part 1. Aren't the house and gardens beautiful its breathtaking. Have you been to Chatsworth at xmas when the house is decorated if not you should go we loved it 😁 you need to pre book, i want to go again x
Hi julie yes so beautiful i wish the weather was better when i was walking around the gardens it was pouring down the whole time i got soaked 😂 Never been at xmas that’s something i’d like to do
Never been to the house but you've both made it look very tempting, cracking looking site, pitches etc, house and gardens just look fantastic, and as you say no need to go out and about as you have everything there, peak district weather, well it is what it is, £50 a night for your pitch, we'd pay that for that location, and we are use to paying a lot less, but the house and gardens make that worth every penny, anyway another enjoyable vlog keep them coming 👍
Hi stephen it was actually really nice there luckily i’d got most of the pictures done on the the day we arrived when the sun was out , the rest of the time it poured down but it was to be expected , the house was amazing but difficult to film firstly because it was dark in there and secondly respecting peoples privacy and trying not to get anyone in the shots and there were a lot of people there , but we’d go back in a heartbeat , the site was worth that money i think , really enjoyed the place

Another great vlog as usual Mike. Been to Chatsworth many times unfortunately there are rumours it is going to close as the estate wants the land to move the farm shop there.

Morning Kirsty & Mike you guys certainetely pick some good spots, never been there, fantastic 😊 been back a couple of weeks now from the south of France van was great and didn’t find it cramped as we thought we would, mind you we were outside most of the time, which helps, we slept like logs every night so the bed was fine 😴 wonder if the viaduct is really a Folly, the monument may have been built on a spring and the tunnel directed it down to the house, £15 for 2 coffees 😳 Mike you have a great eye for a good photo, wot no fish n chips 😭…. Hi pete glad you enjoyed your break down the south , we are yet to have a summer over here it’s ridiculous, been terrible weather , we enjoyed our little break the house was amazing as was the walks , interesting you mention a spring under that monument i can’t find nothing on it at all , there was no indication anywhere as to what it served as !
No fish n chips that time but plenty more to come 😂👍
Oh well it’s off for a hot chocolate now and maybe soup later in this freezing weather we have 😂😂 , we barely got 14dgs today !

@@TheFrenchiesMotorhomechannel sorry to hear your weathers ‘pants’ the 3 weeks we were in the south we had 3 showery days the third day it came down biblically for 10 mins then sun out and everything had dried out like it never happened 🤣 since we have been back it’s been 26c and sunny 😎 today with a bit of wind, all what you saw may have been folly’s purpose built by the lord of the manor to add interest to his grounds, things like castle towers, caves, ruins ( the viaduct ) even tombs etc all built for entertainment and wonder, next year guys give yourselves a week over here I think you would love it and you may be lucky and get some sun 😊 and of course Kirsty can accomplish her dream of going to the Boulongere for her rustic baguette 🥖 and pain chocolate, quality vid guys hop the suns out soon….
