    Great video of those door frame heaters. I found that using a window screen tool helped me with those a lot.

    Question about these types of doors (need to confirm which type exactly) I have a 20 door frozen food line up and one of the doors has a little ice on the middle pane. Is that a door heater issue or a "need a new door" issue ? 😆
    Great content as usual 👏

    • @gendronhvac-r1269
      @gendronhvac-r1269  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If it's on the glass of the door.
      The door plugs in and has anti sweat heaters inside the door so you might need a new door.
      If it is on just one peice of frame. It might be a gasket issue or it could mean the heaters on its way out.
      If it is not very much ice maybe knock it off and see if it builds back?
      You could also Carmpair the amp draw and ohms to a working case and see if is really off base.
      I hope that helps some :)

    It shows the A.S. relay is normally closed so shouldn’t relay open when energised? Hence, if energised it means it will be going into defrost and you don’t want door heater on with defrost

    • @gendronhvac-r1269
      @gendronhvac-r1269  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      So from my understanding and it's been a while since I made this video so i'm going off of memory.
      Step one the case goes into defrost.
      This will provide power to the anti sweatheaters. They are normally Closed as you said. The power is usually provided by the danfoss controller at the rack sometimes through a contact or something like that.
      Typically there is some type of thermostat or click on in the case. That is what the power is routed through and that is what is normally closed.
      When the case reaches a temperature for the anti sweats to turn off the switch opens cutting power to the anti sweats.
      This prevents energy waste as well as fires.
      So i'm told.
      Anyway I hope that helps.
      God bless

    Need help I got a circuit that contains 4 different cases low temp freezer doors Anthony frame all cases besides one door frame heater work I have no power at my terminal block to energize heaters I was told to look for a breaker but the breaker I found sends power for all cases on the circuit my question is where do I look for my source of power for the case that door frame heaters aren’t working???

    • @gendronhvac-r1269
      @gendronhvac-r1269  ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on the case.
      Hussmann have a panel in the front or the top of the case.
      And Hill Phoenix have them on the bottom or the top.
      What I would do personally is I would Take the Pan panels Off the four cases next to it and see if power is daisy chained case the case. And then trace where the power stops and See if there is a break in the daisy chain. Or a loose wire or something.
      Good luck man I hope that helps

    Here's a link to tech sheet Master G shows:
    www.hussmann.com/ns/Technical-Documents/0425644_P_RL.pdf
    Have to spend a lot of time unpacking this one. Mr. G makes interpreting the wiring diagram look as easy as reading a menu.
    "Am I good enough to even be in this business???"
    A few videos back, Mr. G did a video on a case that was wired wrong (!). After seeing This video, I can see that happening (!). "Your problem is somewhere in this wiring diagram". Yeah, right. The guy probably looked at the diagram and freaked out. "I have to fix this somehow, or I'll get booted!!!". So he did a hack wiring.
    ****
    I'll be telling myself, just take it slow; watch as many of these videos as you can.
    👌

      There's a Red warning block in the wiring diagram that says "Warning:
      Terminal block NOT for
      case-to-case
      wire connection!"
      If I'm not mistaken, that sounds like the wiring "hack" that was done in the earlier miss-wiring video (if you think This one was hard to follow).
