Never knew hussmann had drain heaters for their freezers. Havent worked on many, but the one ive run across did not have any, just drained right out into the pipe. Cool tip, thanks bro!!

      Me too, sort of.
There was an earlier one about that "rat's nest" that runs along the base board of these things. It was about a door heater ('Anti Sweat heater'; sounds like a contradiction.)
      Watched that one 5 times.

This was a "soup to nuts" -- checking everything in the circuit. 👍

Min 0:15 was worth the price of admission: "If the fans aren't running, it's in defrost."
Seems, basic, but my head spun in the earlier video, re: "what if this thing is in defrost? Everything is opposite/backward then." Answer: just look at the fans.

I’m starting to work on a ton of these Hussman 5 door self contained refrigeration cases in DOllar Gs. Are they really junk or something? Lotta problems in warranty.

I actually think they're pretty good. There's some of the better stuff out there at least in my opinion. I personally find them a lot easier and more intuitive to work on than a Kaiser Warren or a hill Phoenix.
The main issue is efficiency. A hussmann case goal is to be hyper efficient.
So they might put a fan motor in that is hyper efficient but that fan motor will only last 5 years. Over the course of those five years the customer might save $1,000. A technician like you will come out and replace it. Costing them maybe $500. So the savings to the store would be $500.
That's kind of their mindset so I feel like you have to replace Parts more frequently but it's more intuitive than other cases.
So anyway I guess that's my opinion.

I have had it for about 2 years it works well.
There are some issues with it like it cannot do capacitance and it doesn't clamp. So like I can't leave it and look at the amps as I do something else.
But it does automatically change voltage from AC to DV and for the most part it's very good. I've had a friend who's had one for 5 years so they seem to last all right.
