Kerala style beef curry | Spicy beef curry| Nadan beef curry
Spicy beef curry is an inevitable part of Kerala cuisine.. It’s a deadly combo with porotta, appam , pathiri, ghee rice etc. So here, in this video am going to show you how to prepare Kerala style nadan beef curry that too in a pressure cooker. This is an inherited recipe from my grandmother, who is an amazing cook! Everyone of our family & friends love her foods , so thought of sharing her yummy recipe here so that you people can enjoy it too! Beef curry tastes well only when it’s slow cooked in a traditional oven with wood fire. But without wood fire & traditional oven or claypots, you can prepare the similar beef curry in a pressure cooker after watching this video. So please watch the video, try the recipe & enjoy!!! Fantastic Beef!!!. I had to comment on this, because it was very nice. Never knew the secret of boiling first for 15min with all masala in; "in its own juice" and then pressure cooking it. The only thing I did different was I added some coconut pieces because I like coconuts in the beef curry and I added boiling water, may be the water that you added was boiling as I was told not add cold water to already hot curries. I am 72 yrs old and started to take the passion of cooking about 30 years ago. But I never had such a great beef like this. I will try to make the mutton the same way too. or do you cook it differently? Thanks again for a great video.

Of course, adding coconut pieces will enhance the flavour of beef curry.. while i was shooting the video, i had only store bought grated coconut here.. that’s why i didn’t add coconut pieces in this curry. The water i ‘ve added here was normal water (room temperature) , because the status of beef while we are adding water, is uncooked (not even partially cooked) .. so adding normal water will not affect the texture of beef or curry😊
You can make mutton in the same way with a little bit of changes.. In mutton curry, instead of onions add same amount of shallots & reduce the amount of red chilli powder & increase the amount of black pepper powder.. Add some chopped coriander leaves too.. Will do a video of mutton curry soon! ☺️

Hi dear.. boneless meat will cook a little bit faster than the bone- in ones.. I think 2 or 3 whistles will be enough for this.. Everything else in the preparation is same.. It will be well & good if you take beef with bones & fat in it. 😊
