Thank you , this was great.. your demonstration of how to make the stamps was easy to follow.. now I have something new to add to my bag of goodies and I have been looking for a way to make new patterns... My only issues is the sound and motion were out of sync.. Otherwise... it was great!
So glad that you found this technique useful to you. Unfortunately I had an issue with Instagram last year where my voice and video did not sync, and this demo was from that period of time. Thanks for watchin it anyways!
I’ve been using cardboard for the backing. How does that sticky side work once you put your stencils down on it? Do they last longer because they are foam on foam?
Cardboard is fine as a backing, however because it is paper and could get wet as you use the stamp, the paper backing might not be as stable. Using foam on foam, or plastic on plastic means the stamps will hold up longer.
I am also interested in card making/rubber stamping. I have cut images out of the kids foam using my dies and made stamps as well. My favoriate are the hand cut organic shapes like you made.
This was a terrific demo. The papers are wonderful. I have some non-adhesive foam sheets. I wonder what kind of glue I could use for them. Maybe someone here has experience to share?
Thèse vidéos are a treasure! Thank you so much for your generosity ❤
Thank YOU for being here! There are many more to come, and new live Tune in Tuesdays come soon!
Ordered foam now. Love it. Thank you!
Have fun! Thank you for watching!
Also I listen to Tolle everyday. He is the best. He gets me into the present and out of suffering faster than anything else I’ve ever tried. ❤
I love that ❣️
Excited to learn more.
Thanks for watching my art demo video. I post a new one weekly.
Those are really sharp. Thank you for sharing this idea.

So many possibilities...great demo!
Thank you so much for watching! 💗
Those are amazing!
Ahhh thanks so much!
Thank you!
Thank YOU!
On the larger surfaced shapes (like the large dits), yiu could use a floral or scroll rubber stamp to remove paint, leaving a pattern before printing.
Hmmmm, great idea. Thanks for sharing.

How long does the cut foam last? Is it washable? Thank you for another great idea.
It is washable, and holds up a long time. I've had mine a couple years and it stills is useable.
I am also interested in card making/rubber stamping. I have cut images out of the kids foam using my dies and made stamps as well. My favoriate are the hand cut organic shapes like you made.
They're so much fun! Thank you for watching!
Will you put some information where to get "craft paper" the brown one.
Thsnk you
This paper is also called kraft paper or painters paper, and can be purchased at the hardware store in a roll.
@@catrains.artist thank you very much.
Loving your artwork
@@Arianna1308 Thanks so very much!
Can you re use the foam sheets when the paint has dried and use another day
Yes, I use them over and over.
I LOVE your med scientist spirit! Are you a Capricorn by any chance.?
You are funny! No, I'm an Aquarius! I think that type fits the mad scientist too.
How did you do the circles
I used bottom caps as templates to cut around on the foam.
did you use an exacto knife to cut out the circles?
I used both scissors and exacto depending on what was easiest!
thanks! I'm going to try and do all the videos! can't wait to get started!@@catrains.artist

You could use a spray adhesive, or glue down with a medium or gel medium. Yes paste would probably work too.
I Fabrifix (sewing product). It adheres nearly all surfaces together. I glue my fun foam cut outs onto rigid cardboard.
How did you cut the dots?
hot glue works-being careful and carpet tape/strong double sided works.
@@susansieber6189 Thanks for the tips!
Do you wash off the paint after use?
As much as is easy to do. However, I have lots of caked on paint on these stamps and it doesn't affect the next time I use them.
I save all of the brown shipping paper and newsprint papers from packages
As do I. Hazard of being a collage artist!
I hope you take good care of your health and are eating healthy
Thanks so much for the kind words.
When you walk away from your work table and your talking it's very difficult to hear what's your saying. Otherwise I like the videos a lot.
So sorry that the videos are hard to hear. Is the volume too low on the recording?
