Whoever filmed this, thanks for actually filming Justin. Most people only focus on Maynard, even when he's drinking water or taking a breather when someone else in the band is doing something really cool.
Justin is so fun to watch, I actually sat close enough to see them good and he is a blast
Justin was my inspiration to pick up bass, he's very innovative and really pushes the limits of what can be done with the instrument, before I started playing, I thought a lot of his work was Adam on guitar and my mind was blown when I realized how much he contributes to the sound.
The soul of the band....bar none!!

The grudge & Pushit at the same concert?! CRAZY.
This has got to be remembered as a top 5 setlist. Opiate, pushit, the patient, the grudge, and descending?! Three others I would ideally add would be Flood, Aenima, and prison sex. So far this tour, the carefully chosen setlists have been refreshing. That and Maynard's voice 😁
I was going to reply saying the exact opposite. It is one of my least favorite set lists. I am glad I didn't go to the Seattle show. I would have been disappointed.

Aenima, stinkfist, 46+2, schism, jambi.. had been played every single show since their releases for 20 years until this tour. I'm glad they gave em a break and mixed it up this tour
I was debating if they would play The Patient or Culling Voices, then they played both.
Then I also debated if they’d play Invincible or Descending, and they played both!!
Tampa on Wednesday night.....Woohoo, looking forward to it boys!

Little papers flying at the beginning of Culling Voices and that unplugged set are so emotional....and the view from the stage must be amazing for them...I want one of those little papers as a souvenir!!!!!

Just saw them last night in Dallas, it was excellent and Maynards vocals were spot on. I was so happy to see them again.
This is one of the Best Fan Recordings I've ever seen. I ordered my first Tool bootlegs from Italy at age 13 in the mid 90s (yes, I'm old as fuck). Well Done Mate. Cheers.
I'm that old tool.. Er, too.. Broken video from NIN was all the rage in the bootleg scene back then :). Saw Tool a few times in Europe in the early millennium. They never get old.

@@GeekFurious Nice. Pretty much my favorite band right here. Between them and NIN I have to see them whenever possible. They have a great presence, sound, and oddly enough, crowd. People are awesome at Tool shows. Not sure of the exact count but I think this was close to number 70 for me on Tool concerts. I love to take people who have no idea who Tool is.
I was in my thirties in the 90s so you can do the math. We can't help how old we were when we first heard Tool. The first time I heard Sober, I was in.

I am really surprised this person was able to record for so long. Those security guards are ravenous at Perfect Circle and Tool concerts. last time i saw them in Phoenix they were snatching up everyone's phones left and right until everyone got scared they'd lose their phones and you didn't see one glowing screen in the whole place.
Everyone took their phones out during the show. I don't think security was that strict this time around.
U see where this person was? No security goin up to nose bleed section...
@@7empest262 I was at the very top left, nowhere near this person. People were using their phones as light to find their seat numbers but I didn't see any security do jack shit.
I had a security guard take mine away back in the day before phones even had cameras. I called my girlfriend during her favorite song and held the phone up. Security thought I was recording audio.
There was actually security all over where I was. They were chasing all the phone users.

@@lifesgood9528 Ha, that was a first for me. Was planning on going to the Tampa show back in 2020. Postponed and then kept my promise to my friend that I would fly down for the resched. He bought the tix, I booked the flight. Then they just happened to stop again in Boston. Could not miss that.

@@lifesgood9528 Not sure about that. Just an old dude who likes Tool as well as other metal/hard rock bands. Live shows have always been a big deal to me. Hope you get to see them live as well. They are pretty much the best live band ever. Only a few other bands can/could do what they do live. Worth going out of your way for.

Fucking phenomenal. Pushit was played as good as they’ve ever played it by all 4 of them. They are still playing like they are in their prime. I just hope they keep touring like they always have , because I have to see them at least one more time and I just wasn’t able to do it this tour.
Well said! I think musicians are always in their prime. Luckily for us like minded music fans, they are not greyhounds or sportsmen :/ I would love to see them live one day and I probably wont stop til I do lol

I just saw them last night in New Orleans for the first time. Absolutely jaw dropping. The intensity is so insane at 18:35 with the visuals and the fast pace, really fucking got my adrenaline going

agreed, I really wanna get an upclose look at his Eurorack setup, he's a HUGE Synth nut as we can all see. Super creative, love that the synthesizer stuff was really embraced on FI.
It felt like I was listening to Depeche Mode and Tool mix. These shows are phenomenal.

My dad, brothers and I went to this show, we were wayy up to the left facing Maynard. It was so amazing. I really hope I am able to see them one last time as that was my very first Tool concert. I’ve seen other shows with Maynard like Perfect Circle but never Tool.

Minneapolis March 13th. Will be sitting in front left - ready for a great concert! Really hoping they add Lateralis. But I don’t make the set list.
Saw them in Minneapolis in May of 2006. Was amazing. They did play Lateralus and it was fantastic, I wish you luck. Tool has been bringing it. Maynard has putting in some work because his vocals are top notch!

I'm going to see them in Newark on 2/26. If this show is half as good as when I saw them a couple years back when Fear Inoculum first came out, I'll be more than satisfied. I've seen them 4 times since the Lateralus tour back 2001 and the best I've ever seen them was the first time and this last time. Best band to see live, period. I don't just say that because Tool, along with Deftones, have been my favorite bands since 96. I've been to over a hundred, possibly hundreds of concerts, all kinds of bands, rock, metal, jam bands, country, blues, even hip hop (which are fucking terrible).. NOTHING compares to a Tool show. Before I knew what an acid trip felt like, Tool made me feel like I was a teenage punk trippin balls! NIN's live show maybe could be compared to Tool but only cause they too had amazing light and laser displays.
Both are pretty epic bands. They bring people together which is fucking amazing.

I've been a huge fan of both for decades, Tool has always been Tool...Deftones has changed their sound and grown so much over the years with each album and has managed to remain dope as hell throughout. Ive always wanted them to tour together and have a band like Chevelle as the opener. That would be incredible.
Pink Floyd is PHENOMINAL live, and gives you that ethereal feeling. Also, if you get a chance to see Brit Floyd live, do it. They are by FAR the best Pink Floyd cover band. They are amazing live as well.

Dont get me wrong, MJK sounds good(better than he has in recent years) hes really good at using those pedals when needed, with the pre-recorded backing tracks, kinda like his instrument. Not trolling either, its a fact, has been using pre-recorded backing tracks live since at least 2006 10k pre-tour.

That’s why Maynard is never in the spotlight. Gotta respect a guy willing to use his voice as an instrument and hang out in the shadows.
Maynard's the only front man I've ever seen that likes to stay in the background.
Only during Tool. Go see him as Puscifer or APC. Totally different persona. Read up.. He says the lights are a distraction and he considers himself more of an instrument than a leader for Tool. They all carry their weight in pretty equal ways. They are like Rush for the hipster in you. Or your parents. Or your grandparents :)
