- This is a visual recreation of the TOOL performance in Kansas City on 3/15/2022. Its not perfect, but I'm happy with it.
ALL audio is from the performance that day. Visuals have been taken from recordings of this show as well as other performances to recreate the experience in full (Excluding Chocolate Chip Trip).

The way Maynard isn't front and center shows his humility. Tool is about the band as a whole, not one person. He voluntarily takes a back seat to Adam, Danny, and Justin. His roll is as important, but not more important.
I was 11th row on the floor here tripping my ballz completely off on shrooms. Felt like I was on stage with them the entire show and the bass was my heartbeat. Incredible night

First time I'd ever done it at live music. I was peaking when Sober started and shook the arena with that insane low end.
I'd love to have been there.. those visuals have me tripping right now and since I'm on Home Detention I can't get high right now... But Live TOOL makes me feel high

I was taking a trip also whilst at the Tool concert in Tulsa, it was literaly like they opened up another dimension, the sound was so perfect it sounded like it was from out of this world. Maynards voice on Contagion was trippy as shit, he had to of been using a special effect that altered his voice, but thats the thing, it sounded higher pitched than usual, and it sounded natural, almost as if that was his real voice, without going down a rabbit hole, literally another dimension, the sound was just so pure sounding and loud!

Nice job, I was on row 11 on the floor and it was amazing. StL show had audio issues a few days later, maybe it was just where we sat but it sounded real bad. KC sounded amazing.
Nice work putting this together. Audio is lacking bass but it's clean and clear enough and can be boosted with equalisers at our end. Great job sourcing and recording video footage you've grabbed some great memories that will be very much appreciated by many viewers including me right now.

Thanks for recording it! I was so lost in the performance that I didn't record a single thing... But you helped me immortalize my 21st birthday present, and I cannot appreciate that enough! Hopefully you enjoyed the performance as much as I did!
I wanted to include yours in specific because I was actually up near where that angle was from, just further left near the other entrance/exit; Its as close as I can get to seeing where I was again without having to remember.

I think half of the people who didn't like Fear Inoculum listened to it once with 13 years worth of pent up expectations and when it failed to be the magical Tool album they'd conceived of in their imaginations, they got negative instead of going back to it a couple of times. I was a bit bummed my first listen as well, but now that it's had time to sit with me it might even be my favorite.
It's my favorite. I love them all, but that one is frosting on the cake.

Yeah I heard it too in person. 99% sure its some funky filter they had over Maynard's voice for that song.

The quality of the footage unfortunately fluctuates throughout the video due to the fact that I had to reconstruct the events of that performance with various recordings I could find online. So some footage is going to look better than the other recordings you see in the video and there's nothing I could do about it sadly. I did the best I could.
This also means that I had to substitute certain songs with footage of other performances by TOOL and do my best to align the footage with the audio from the Kansas City performance. (I marked down in the description which songs had real footage and which ones had reconstructed footage.)
However I would only use footage from other performances that would be identical to their performance in KC, so that the reconstruction is as close to flawless as it can possibly be. (I.e. What they displayed on the big screen needed to be the exact same as what they displayed in KC).

Honestly Maynard’s vocals are not very good live. He sounds like a completely different person on “the pot.” 😢
I really think it had more to do with poor mic mixing and poor acoustics in the venue than with MJK himself.
I think the main reason is that "The Pot" is played live now in a completely different tuning. Every part is played noticeably in a lower tuning, and Maynard is singing in a lower pitch as well on top of that.
I bet the reason for that is that The Pot is sang in a lot of his higher register, and that only gets harder to maintain with age. I highly recommend some of TOOL's early 2000's shows. I believe that to be Maynard in his prime in my opinion, and he sounds almost exactly like how he did on the albums.
Modern Tool definitely has a different vibe though, but I don't think he sounded bad in this show at all.
